Owner is pretty firm on the price, looks like it's had a few mods already to start. Is this a good bike to start with???
2009 Harley-Davidson xr1200
Custom Cafe Racer XR1200 for sale. Too many aftermarket parts to list.
$8,000 O.B.O / Will consider trading for a track bike.
A friend of mine is selling a BMW K1200 LT (2005) I wanna know if that is a good base to modify, I have never seen one of those turn into a cafe racer. The handlebar and the instruments are one of the few things that worries me about that bike to mod, I’ll appreciate the answers 👍🏻
I would do the Gentleman rides and I started back in 2014 and those years Cafe Racers was a big scene in the Los Angeles. It had free entry for the meet up event and all the kids were modding junk bikes to Cafe racers. I would see over 1000 bikes and more than half were Cafe Racers. Now you rarely see any Cafes is the movement dead in your area?
No real need to post other than I’m super fuckin stoked to pick up (close to) a twin of the first bike I ever built. For context, my dad and I bought a 69 CL450 basket case at mid Ohio during my sophomore year in high school. We fixed it up and I rode it u to my junior year of college. Never should have sold it.
Hey y’all. I’ve got a question in regard to the M Unit side stand function. I want to keep all my safety functions, mostly because I may sell the bike in the future. Basically all I need to know is whether the M Unit will kill the ignition when you put the side stand down while the bike is running. I know it won’t let you start it with it down, but does it kill it when you put it down? I’m basically just wiring the clutch switch and side stand switch in series, and then also having the neutral switch in parallel so it will start while in neutral. But this whole idea is scrap if it shuts down when it sees the side stand is down
My switch is a NC switch

QUESTION FROM A ROOKIE:
I ABOUT TO BUY MY FIRST HONDA....IS THE - 1980 Honda CM400E WORTH MESSING WITH?
THANKS AMIGOS

I was today years old when I discover this brilliant ride - see you there Saint Paul!
Has anyone done a battery delete? I want to get rid of this huge battery without frying the electronics. Has anyone done it? Or can anyone justify a Lithium-Ion battery? I’m terrified of the bike lighting on fire. Any help would be great thanks.

I reached the 900 km mark on my lovely 125 ccm brixton sunray and still can‘t get enough. Even on not so sunny days i ride into the city to my favorite Italien cafe to drink espresso. Real cafe racer here.
But i miss some power outside the city. I can barely reach 100 km/h so i already started to look for my next bike. I‘m stuck ok royal enfield interceptor/continental or triumph bonneville. But i would appriciate any recommendations.
Ride safe people! And thanks for the nice words to my last/first post here :)
I have a 1980 Suzuki GS1000 GL that I'm building into a cafe right now and I need a new fuel tank. I've looked into just repurchasing the stock tank but I don't love the shape. Does anyone have any recommendations on tanks that have a large capacity like a GS1000 with a more classic cafe look?
I've considered a CB750 tank as they have similar capacity. I've also considered a GS1100GK tank as that those are massive and look pretty good imo.
Any recommendations are welcome, I just need something that'll look good, has a decent capacity, and will fit a 1 liter bike without looking small and out of place
Hope you guys can shed some light on one of my questions before jumping in the deep end on a k100 cafe rebuild project.
One of the things holding me back is the wiring, as I’m not to familiar with electrics and wiring in general. Im thinking of doing just the Speedo, lights and rear seat this summer, and the doing full re-wiring of the entire bike in the winter.
My question is: Is it possible to change the Speedo ‘lunchbox’ and the lighting (front and rear) on the original wiring harness?
I’ll be buying a BEP 3,0 or AXEL JOOST LUNCHBOX ADAPTER for the new Speedo when doing the ‘lunchbox’ removal. Is there any better solution? Do I need to look out for anything specific?
Thanks in advance,
Greatly appreciated!
Hello there,
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Suzuki GN 125 or similar?
Im rebuilding an old 125 from 1981, and for now i have taken everything off to make it more stable and reliable. Im not making it stock, but im not using m-unit or anything like that to simplify things, im just redoing.
So it would be helpfull if someone already did a job like this and could help me out.
The one on my bike is a cheap ass $30 seat P. O threw on to quick flip it. After about 20m of riding it starts hurtin muh back. Where do you guys go to get comfortable, quality cafe seats? I know it's not going to be as comfortable as stock, likely ever, but anything is better than the one I have and I'd like to get a good one that I could do some shorter road trips with.
