Factory farming - a treatment towards farm animals in order to supply the vast, growing demand of meat. Intensive farming refers to animal husbandry, the keeping of livestock such as cattle, poultry, and fish at higher stocking densities than is usually the case with other forms of animal agriculture—a practice typical in industrial farming by agribusinesses. Does anybody in this thread work on an actual factory farm and would be willing to do a ~15 minute interview?
This is not an investigative reporter or someone representing law enforcement, I’m just a graduate student at a university working on a design project.
Our design is for an air filtration system that is able to combat and kill superbugs that may have grown on the farm due to use of antibiotics and the superbug can be carried on air pollution particles.
Our next phase in the design of this project is to speak to a professional or someone with experience on the subject, so anyone with any experience on a factory farm would be appreciated. Ideally someone who works with the air filtration system on farms, but anybody who works at a factory farm would be valuable to talk to.

I'm attempting to create a straightforward report of what farmed animals experience from the moment they're born to the moment they die. The existing literature tends to either hide or exaggerate bad practices. Neither is helpful for the consumer who wants to make an informed decision. Sustainable meat farming research
I work for a really great dog and cat food company that has the best intentions for the wellbeing of its pets, but almost nothing is published about the sourcing of its meat in terms of sustainability. Obviously red meat consumption contributes the vast majority of CO2 emissions yet this is not a subject ever covered in pet food companies, no matter how ethical.
Is there an academic course that speaks to this? Is there a certification board applicable to pet food that looks into this? Are there job titles taken to consider this endeavor? If it was a job, I would want it, although I know very little about it. I just know it's really important and isn't being discussed. Any thoughts? Thank you!
