I want to give a shout out to Bogey’s, Estes Park’s newest (only?) sports bar! I went there for the first time yesterday to watch some baseball and it was just what I was looking for. They have two patios, TVs on the lower patio, clean and spacious bathrooms, and cheap beer prices. The food offered is lighter fare and ballpark-themed (nachos, hotdogs…) and the staff was very friendly. Can’t wait to catch more games there and also to hang out on that upper patio. Great addition to the town!
Hi everyone, I'm 27yo American guy that just moved to Estes a few weeks ago and am currently learning Mandarin. I'm in the middle of the HSK 2 textbook and would love to find some native speakers to practice with casually and be friends. Any age, gender or nationality is okay. A few of my interests include (surprise) hiking, cooking, and learning languages (I also speak Spanish and Portuguese). I would especially love to make 中国菜 if anyone knows how. DM me if interested! (If you speak ES or PT and want to chat let me know too!)
Hello all! I'll be in Estes Park in late November. What articles of clothing do you consider essential for late November weather/temperatures? I'm from the Gulf Coast, so I'm not very knowledgeable about cold weather dressing, nor how to pack for unpredictable weather.
Thank you for your help! I appreciate it.
Hi! Looking for recommendations on a fine dining experience for my husband and I for our 10 year anniversary. Currently looking at Twin Owls, The View and Cascades. We’re big steak eaters so looking for somewhere delicious and unforgettable! Thanks!
My family and I moved to town about a month ago. I’m looking for a nanny/babysitter for my two kids. Maybe 3-4 days a week for 4-6 hours per day. If interested, please send me a DM. Also open to shared childcare if any other families want to link up. Thanks!
We’re visiting Sep 29 - October 3 with a 2 and 5 year old. The little one is too big to carry and too young to do proper hikes.
Please help me narrow down the best things to do, including local gems, playgrounds etc - we want some adventure and some relaxation.
Hi,
In December I am proposing in Estes Park and would like a nicer restaurant to eat with our family. I haven’t found much help on the internet.
Thanks
My elderly grandfather's phone is going to busy signal and we can't reach him, the neighbors we usually contact that can check on him have the same thing. Wondering if there is an outage before I drive up from Denver to check on things myself. Thanks
Where are the elk at? I was here 8 years ago and they were all over the golf course by the visitor center. Any advice would be great! Thanks
My extended family and I will be visiting Estes Park in early October. We will have two cars, but the place we are staying at provides only one parking spot and recommended we park the second vehicle nearby at a public lot. But looking at the town website, it sounds like overnight parking is only allowed at the Events Complex. Which one is accurate?
I would like to know if it is easy or feasible to live in Estes Park and if you can easily get a job, I would like to move there for approximately 6 months, I am early 30s, is it safe for a woman to live there alone?
My friend and I will be in Estes park next month and we were thinking about having a spa day. Any advice on best places to go?
I'm looking for the ones that allow you to refill big jugs with high PH water. Tired of driving to Boulder Whole Foods to refill.
Hey all. I posted here not long ago asking for help for my dad. While my original post might overlap here goes. I’m an amateur wildlife/bird photographer. I’m hoping for any insight in where to go to photograph wildlife at the end of September? Either in RMNP or around Estes would be amazing. Beat places/time of day, etc. Thanks!
A lot of police presence there
I’ll be in EP for a week and my hotel does not have a gym. Are there any places that I can take an exercise class without a membership? Spin classes preferred.
Aspen lol!
hey y'all! I used to live in Boulder ages ago, moved East for work & am bringing the fam back for a wedding in early October. we'll have our 10yr old son with us & unfortunately (or fortunately?) the ceremony is child-free so I need to figure out child care at our Estes Park hotel while we're in Allenspark for the afternoon + evening. does anyone have any advice on how to go about finding a cool person for a one-time gig? I have no clue where to start. tips welcome, I'm stumped! TIA 🙂💜
Hi everyone, I have been to Estes Park 10+ times, in months from March-August. My family who has never been is considering going Thanksgiving week, but I'm not sure about the weather? I don't mind that it's out of season, but does anyone have insight into how much snow there would be in town or up in RMNP? As well as what stores and activities may be unavailable??
Thanks!!!
Taking a trip out here in the near future but have to spend one day working so wanted to see where people suggest. Mainly looking for a spot with good food and a strong internet connection
Looking for a weekend get away with my wife that is secluded with a private hot tub to skinny dip and hike in the mountains to get away
Looking for reasonably priced pet friendly lodging in Estes park near Stanley Circle Drive. Thank you
My 16 yr old and I will be spending the first week of Nov in the area. This is my first time there, so I'll need some tips on what to expect for weather, as well as locals-recommended things to get into (my son wants to do a tour of the Stanley, so that's on the list). Thanks!
UPDATE: VRBO for the WIN! We will not miss the Elk Rut after all
I planned to be in Estes 9/5-10/5 but unfortunately I just found out the cabin we rented is in need of repairs and our reservation had to be cancelled.
Desperately searching for a furnished 3bdr in September - October time frame. Airbnb is slim pickings. I'm flexible on dates. Just looking to stay for at least a month. Any leads are appreciated!
Hi! I’m visiting Estes Park in a week for the first time. I have only a day or two there- I was going to hike Lake Haiyaha, but I’m getting a bit worried about elevation since I’m from North Carolina and don’t hike very regularly, especially in higher altitudes.
I’m thinking as a backup plan, that I will spend about 5-6 hours exploring in the car. Going view point to view point and just taking in the views, stopping for lunch someone on the side of the road.
Do you all have recommendations on different stopping points starting and ending at Estes Park?
Not looking for anyone to give away their secret spot, but looking for a place for the kids to fish that may not be too crowded. We know Lake Estes and Lake Mary. Let me know if you have any suggestions in the area. Thanks!
Odd question - Has anyone had any recent luck fishing the Adams Tunnel East Portal reservoir up past the YMCA camp on Tunnel Rd?
Years ago - when I was a kid - my dad and I went fishing up there and he got a very nice rainbow on the line. I tried to fish it about 3 years ago and I am 90% sure there were no fish in there. Has anyone had any luck here recently?
Visiting Estes in a week and I’m looking for hot springs recommendations around the area. Not afraid to drive a couple hours away if it’s worth it
