I am a sophomore that missed the apparent shuttle info that transports people to tonight’s field party (don’t think I want to be stranded). Does anybody know the location? Thinking about DDing some friends tonight.
Looking for an iphone charger. Like a library or something? I'm here but I don't have a charger and I don't wanna buy one. I know other schools have chargers in libraries so I'm wondering if there's some here!!
Hello! I recently got accepted to Dukes CRNA program. I will be moving there next June. I have a few questions.
What is a good area to move to that is close to campus?
How much is typically spent on utilities? Gas/electric, heating/cooling, internet/cable, water, garbage….etc
I want to be close to campus as I will have to be there 4/5 days.
Thank You!
Can I mobile order and use my food points to get Panera at wu? or do I need to order in person, so lost.
I just took the first midterm and feel so discouraged. Is there a curve in this class?
Hi there, My son is trying to get himself home for the upcoming fall break. For whatever reason, there are basically no buses or trains that will work so I thought I would ask if any Duke students are driving to northern Viriginia for the break? We are in Charlottesville so I thought perhaps he could hitch a ride with someone driving this direction and I could snag him in Richmond or thereabout? We will of course pay for the service. TIA!!!!
Did anyone apply and hear back from DCP?
Is it hard to get a Lyft ride from the RDU airport back to campus at around 12am?
Incoming postdoc here looking for housing in Durham. What percentage of your pre-tax income do you pay for rent and how far is your commute?
I got into Duke in 2023 and immediately applied for 2 consecutive gap years in order to complete my mandatory military service (a thing in Korea). I am currently on gap year until 2025.
I recently tried to log into DukeHub with my NetID and password, which worked perfectly fine back in 2023 when I first activated it, but now it tells me that the "NetID, password, or MFA option you entered is incorrect."
I've never changed my password, so I suspect that this is an issue with my NetID - possibly it being deactivated or otherwise unavailable for use.
Has anyone ever experienced something similar? Does anyone have suggestions as to what could be done about this?
can someone plz explain this years camp out for cameron crazy countdown? is it all day like last year? ive been hearing different things
Just a few days after you beat my beloved wildcats at home in 2OT.
Ran about 4 or 5 miles around the campus. Great weather, better campus.
On the other hand Durham is real weird and I won’t go there after dark again.
I’m thinking of going to the summer residential program next year for high schoolers and middle schoolers. Has anyone here done it? If so please tell me about your experiences and what campus it would be located on.
Has anybody done the Duke in Alicante summer program? Is the intermediate program intense and hard, since it's two semesters of Spanish in 6 weeks? Feels like a good way to knock out two language classes and get to go abroad as an engineer, but wondering if it will be too intense and it starts just a few days after finals end in May. Would love to hear about anyone's experiences with the program.
If my friend is in a living learning community for next year (spire) can I still room with her next year?
Hi! As in the title, I’m considering early graduation due to some financial reasons and I was wondering if I graduated 2 semesters ahead whether I could attend the graduation ceremony as the class I entered duke with?
Hey I just got a job as a registered nurse in Duke regional hospital in North Carolina durham and I'm looking for apartment for rent. I'm moving from Dallas. Problem is l've a low credit score (around 530). I paid for my nursing school using the card card and wasn't able to pay on time which affected my credit score. Is there any apartment that take low credit score if I pay up front for 2 months? Or is there's any apartment that doesn't check credit? Will really appreciate the help A Thank you!
Is Fuqua Fridays only reserved for Fuqua students? I really want to go but cant find any information on whether or not other students are allowed to go.
Simple questions. How long from 7pm until whenever before it's done?
Hey y’all! I’m conducting a quick 7-question survey to gather insights on the top issues that matter most to the Latinx community and students at major universities in the Triangle, NC.
It’s super simple and will take less than 5 minutes to complete! Your help can make a real difference as we head into the 2024 election.
Someone please explain, there’s no way the southwest salad from craft is 760 cal. Is this legit or is it inflated?
Going for my first campout at Duke!! I'm super excited but I was also wondering if anyone had a list of things I should carry or just any advice in general to make the best of it?
Thankyou!!
I am a freshman who is feeling pretty lonely. I do have many acquaintance, but no one "close" to go to games/parties with. It seems as if everyone has already found a lot of friends and formed groups. What clubs are still open, or other ways to meet people?
Does anyone have advice for cs 316 with Roy? Especially for doing well on exams? In the class right now and have to spend so much time on homework even though I've heard cs 316 is supposed to be okay ...
Does anyone know what makes the Kilgo quad smell so good? I'm not sure what the trees with the white blooms are on them, but I love walking by.
I have a product that stemmed from an engineering class here at Duke (undergrad) which has done well “academically” with some grants and awards and has gained some minor traction commercially. I’m curious to hear any experiences working with the office of translation and commercialization. Thanks in advance!
Hey, so I only have 2 semesters left at Duke and would like to take the highest ROI courses I can for SWE.
I'm leaning towards CS308 (Duvall) CS310 (Lentz) STA (199, stats req) ENG 101(S, W, ALP reqs)
I'm decent at CS but definitely not as cracked as a lot of CS students here. Just wondering if I'm gonna wreck myself with this schedule?
Some context:
Ideally 308/310 would be in separate semesters but the way Duke is offering the courses they probably won't be offered again before I graduate.
I do have an interest in data science/ml but figured it might be smart to take the easiest stat req possible with 308/310 hence STA199
I'm stressing about this and probably overthinking it, just don't want to feel like I missed out on learning any essential skills before graduating
Thanks in advance for any input kind strangers!
