I've never played doom but it looks fun

Note that this is on Xbox Gamepass PC. And I have used a trainer for fun(Wemod). Everything is dark and weirdly contrasted, the PC is fine, and my steam games don’t show the same issue. It’s only doom. Help pls

I have just one question that doesn't make sense to me.. The Khan Maykr was piqued by the Slayer and his ravings about demons in which she had him brought before her and ordering her minions to learn his language, as she wanted to know more about the lands, creatures and a dark place unknown to the Queen and her caste.

But weren't they the ones who sealed Davoth and his people in their realm turning them into the demons and the realm into hell...how was this place unknown to her?

Running it through steam proton. The game starts then goes to black screen. Only way out is to close program

Any ideas?

I got Doom Eternal on PC recently and I was curious to try out the new Mod Support they added, but I would like to know if having it activated disables obtainable achievements like in other Bethesda branded games

Been wracking my brains trying to get it running and reading everyone's posts about how they can't get it running either. Modern hardware + drivers seems to be the overall issue, because I can remember running this on my old GPU just fine.

Can't count how many different "solutions" I've tried, but if you can't get it working or you have ideas on how people can fix it please feel free to post. Getting ready for The Dark Ages and I'm surprised that these issues haven't been fixed across the board.

Like, idk if this counts as a nuclear take here, but DRMs are known to cause a variety of issues for games, and I also don't see the reason WHY it should be 80 euros. I get that they're profitting off of the good faith they've built up, but it almost feels like it's a bit high and mighty of them.

What's also silly is that if it had a lower price, more would buy it and so they'd get even more bang for their buck, I think. I'm not well versed on the details

I get it's a meme that Doom can run on anything but I was suprised to learn that the steam version didn't support macos. Any specific reason? Am I just being dumb?

The pace, skills, weapons, AND SPEED! All look nerfed into oblivion. You said we're going from a jet fighter to a tank. I'm know ID is trying to expand its demographic but you're trying to do so at the cost of the current one. Go play roblox or minecraft if you don't have the mental space to think on your feet and act in an instant. That's what had always made doom great. Little to no story and awesome FAST paced game play. You're pandering to the winey and weak. The rest of us who like a challenging, fast paced, engaging game [your largest base] are robbed of that. Dark ages can go back to hell. First doom since it's original I will not be playing. GFY ID. Seriously you fucked up.

I believe the spirits are fully mature female imps that mastered the natruel ability to manipulate Argent energy or hell energy.

The codex says they are spirits fueled by there HATRED of the doom slayer killing them. So why summoners? I believe summoners have this special HATE because of there sapiance and maternal instinct as the doom slayer must have killed thousands of imps which would equate to the idea the summoners being the higher female form of imps therfore these summoners " children " were killed.

There special rage comes from a more righteous anger against the genocide like slaying of imps the doom slayer is known for. The mix of its self awareness and parental instinctual drive mixed with the animalistic rage of most demons, especially these summoners alow it to come back from the dead for revenge of its fallen " children " and kin.

This is 1 theory I have and I wish for the community's thoughts?

Doom 2 is such a combination of the best game design I have ever experienced and yet parts of it clearly were made quickly and without love and attention. I really find it frustrating and dissappointing that this bad ass spooky skeleton boy who I love, sounds like a fucking imp that I've been shooting forever in Doom 1 before I moved to the new enemies found in Plutonia. (I gave up on playing Doom 2 when I had to slog though downtown.)

After checking the system requirements, I am not sure if my PC will run the game smoothly, at either mid or low settings. I have a Rtx 4060, a ryzen 5 5700g and 32 GB of ram. I just upgraded, so I'm sticking with this setup for a fee more years.

I played the game originally on my PS5 but I want to transfer my save data to pc. Is there a way to do this or to download some other 100% save data file?

I mainly just want to have all of my guns and skins still unlocked.
