Anyone got some old pb builds?
If I change the rocket sprites for the rocket launcher will that also change the rockets for the Cyberdemon?
So, I've been playing some Colorful Hell Plus mixed with Quakestyle ZX, Chaotic Doom, Gun Bonsai, ETC. And then I stumbled upon these mysterious things... These letters can spawn from any Black or White monster; depending on their secondary color, they'll have that color too. (I spawned all common colored letters to show an example.) It's chance-based though. You might think they serve as special pick-ups, but sadly, they don't... So now I ask this question... What purpose do the Colorful Letters serve? If you guys have an answer, let me know.
Does anyone know how to make a map in the ID24 format? They want it to be the new mapping standard but I can't figure out how to map for it. I included id24rec.wad as a resource but Ultimate Doom Builder doesn't recognize the new assets without me importing the DECOHACKED. Is UDB / GZDoom just not compatible yet?
Hey everyone,
I will be totally honest, even though I am 31, I discovered Doom last week through MyHouse. I knew of it and of its importance in the industry but I never actually tried to play it before.
When I played the mod, I realized that I loved the gameplay, the fights and the key system. I started playing Doom 1 and 2 and so far I am enjoying it a lot!
Later on I would like to create levels. I do not want to create anything like myhouse, I want to create levels that could belong in the doom games however that is where I need your help.
Do you have any recommendations, practices, videos to recommend for someone who knows nothing about the games and the community? I can't even figure out how to unlock secrets in the game yet. What is the best way to acquire this knowledge besode playing the games?

As title says, when i pick a Keycard on Extermination day Maps, (I assume the problem is within Extermination day since i didn't have this problem with Doom 2 maps of chaos) the game crashes, the console shows the following:
"VM execution aborted: Tried to read from adress zero." And then several lines of code that aim at "Gzdoom script/actors/inventory/inventory" file locations and then the same for Guncaster files, where the crash seems to happen.
Im not sure how to fix this, i am using Doom Mod Loader, GZDoom 4.13.1, and the mod load is as follows:
(All files are loaded from the same folder and are all .PK3) -Extermination day -Guncaster -Guncaster addon -AltShopkeepervoice -Weapon shop
I am not sure where could i contact the authors of guncaster (Or, if i Can at all), so if someone could also point me towards who and where i can ask about this problem to solve it, i would thank you very much.
I try making my first custom monster in Slade for GZDoom and got it working good enough and I of course also put custom sprites.
But for some reason, the walking animation is slow : I've based the monster on the pinky demon, whith the same walking speed, but the walking animation is much slower than the pinky, how can I fix that ?

I am making an AVGN in DOOM mod. This is what I have so far.
Fist = Power Glove
Chainsaw = Recolored to look like the Chainsaw from the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on the Atari 2600
Pistol = Sega Master System Light Phaser
Shotgun = NES Zapper
Super Shotgun = Super NES Zapper (My own creation since the Magnavox Odyssey Light Rifle would just look like the normal Shotgun.)
Chaingun = Atari 2600 Flight Commander Controller
Rocket Launcher = ????
Plasma Rifle = Super Scope 6
BFG9000 = BFSG9000 (Basically it will work like it did in the end of the DOOM episode.)

Do you know of a WAD music player that doesn't require extraction? Is there anything that can take WADs and play all the available music with unprocessed WADs?
The only tools that I can find are ones to extract music. But I want something that can shuffle through a collection of WADs.
I use DOOM WAD OSTs as my hyperfocus aid at work.
I wonder, is it possible to combine Doom mods and total conversions together?
I tried to launch project brutality and included some maps in it with gzdoom,but i always ended up with the doom’ basic version. Can someone help me please?

Hey all! Wanted to make a 3d printed portable doom console using raspberry pi for playing WADs on the go (I know of Delta and other emulators, it’s just the console is cooler). Any ideas of the best suited source port? Need it to be as lightweight as possible (raspberry isn’t really powerful, 4G of RAM tops), preferably not difficult to install on Linux (currently thinking of Ubuntu), and, of course supportive of as many WADs as possible
