Hey there,
Just wanted to share and hear your thoughts about the Dark Elves in the Age of Wonders franchise. I remember it felt like a gaming revolution when the first one went out, at the end of the last century...
Clearly less (if not at all) matriarchal than classical d&d drows, they're still clearly inspired by those.
You can see their first game's units here, and their first game's leaders here.
And here are the second game's units.
This is still one of my very favorite rendition of the dark elf concept, and the first game had a very, very interesting, deep plot, with multiple possible endings. Might not sound so out of the ordinary now, but for a strategy game that went out in 1999, this clearly was something. Jeez, even the gameplay is still quite satisfactory.
Sadly, they disappeared from the third implementation in the series for different reasons [spoilers!!!], and I haven't played the forth one yet.
Anyway, here's what I wanted to share.
Hey there,
I've seen drow pictures, a lot, but I've never seen this one, which doesn't seem to be signed, and couldn't google-find it either. Would anybody know where it's from?
Thank you, kind internet strangers!
Edit: Found her! The artist's named Zuzanna Wuzyk. Thanks to u/jg379 !
