Dada is not art; Dada is anti-art. For everything that art stands for, Dada is to represent the opposite. Where art is concerned with æsthetics, Dada ignores them. If art is to have at least an implicit or latent message, Dada strives to have no meaning: interpretation of Dada is dependent entirely on the viewer. If art is to appeal to sensibilities, Dada offends them.

Who's In Your Tribe

It is a serious divide Once you make up your mind Who's in your tribe And see the truth before you And all that befalls you Who is left standing with you

Grandma got off her rocker and follows a bulldog to the prairie. A whole olive fills the field and the pit falls between the puppy’s eyesight, slightly falling on the ground. Grandma sees a horses mirror in the distance, whose shadow shone across the trees. 5 dancing small men clambered over the hillside running into a ballet of office pedestrians, a sight for sore eyes! Grandpa left the homestead and sighted the majesty of a twelve course meal awaiting at the party, all attendants performing a jig. A tear ran down his cheek as a faltering heart healed and his breath drew again a feeling of relief. Reintroductions were had, and - all gave sacrifices to the children.

That’s when the bulldog, most famous for the water he drew welled a shout for the people! “A time has come!” the little bully begat. And the people came to a closure, leaving each and every grasshopper to the quiet grounds of green once more.

The fulsome bunch had vanquished the prostrator.

A new image arose.

Ideas for short clip

so im looking for some ideas i can use in a school project i have where i need to create a short clip (at least 1 minute long) that is inspired by dada. My initial project was a parody of a political activity where i mocked my country's government through speech, did it in an abandoned space we have. however my lecturer said it needs to be enhanced mainly through editing. How could i do this if i reshoot the clip and add stuff in post?

I have a question about the Dadaist position today

I know this sub has been a bit inactive lately, but if possible, I would like to know if anyone knows if any type of thinker or movement has emerged in recent years that aligns with Dadaist ideas (anti-art, irrationalism , lack of meaning), not necessarily in the plastic but also in the philosophical.

"I'm Duchamp"

Dear Dadaism Fans,

Writing about an artwork I'd like to sell, it was made whilst at university, and a stand out work. Please find a link in comments with some images, and let me know of any further information needed. The work is signed and will be sold with certificate of authenticity.

Best regards,

Simon
