You can soon expect to see an updated wiki introduced, high quality posts, frequent stickies on interesting weekly or monthly topics, and perhaps even AMAs.
The possibility to allow links to sites where purchases has been considered. The outcome is that post titles must not contain promotional language, but may be added in the post comments. This doesn't mean self-promotion is spam, but this subreddit is primarily intended for educational purposes- a virtual museum- where learning about art comes first. Please also consider trying /r/artmarket for simple links to sell your work.
During this time a moderation queue will be in place so please be patient if you wish to submit items. A stickied megathread will be in place to discuss rules, allowed submissions, and general inquiries in the interim.
Thank you for your support!
Basic rules:
1) Titles must contain artwork name (if any), dimensions, medium, and year of creation. This is to ensure a consistent experience. If your post is removed it may be due to not having a proper title.
2) Select the appropriate flair to add to posts, and user set flairs must be sensible.
3) No advertising within the titles; this may be added in the comment section.
4) It is preferable to upload images to Imgur or another trusted image hosting site.
5) Be excellent to one another.

Did a fantasy architectural landscape , trying new techniques. Feel free to share your thoughts.
Not my usual work. Tried experimenting with new subjects. Feel free to share any advice.
This is a freeform i experimented with. I liked the idea of something tearing through/out of the canvas, so I tore into and through the canvas, then applied black paint to the most exposed area surrounding the hole. Then i modeled and cut some clay on the canvas, and cut/scraped it off to leave that rough sort of finish. I sanded down the painting afterward to get areas more textured.
Any and all feedback or ideas or thoughts are welcome and appreciated

Hi everyone. New artist from Providence RI USA, I really don't know if this is abstract espresso nism or not... it's a face. Not a real face, a painting of a face.
If you like this, you can see more things I have made on my Instagram: @tdav.artworks
Thank you for your time goodbye
What's working here? What's not? I would appreciate feedback in this post or message me.
I have been developing a style that intends to be “AI-proof”, i.e. art that AI platforms cannot consistently (if at all) identify the subject/content therein.
This one has proven pretty successful. I am not identifying the subject in this post as LLM train on this stuff, and I’m sure someone at openAI has learned how to attach comments to posts for ML already.
Feel free to review my other pieces, which should allow anyone to identify this if they aren’t able already.

I've been making abstract art for years now and have never thought to document my pieces I usually just give my art away to friends or put it in my closet and forget about it and just create new pieces. I love taking old comics and pieces of wood furniture and gluing them down and just going to town with paints. I use a lot of non paint materials like olive oil bike lube and t9 fluid bike lube and dish soap.
started out with a figure and just played with shapes and contrast
