Exactly what the title says. The only reason I'm going for a screener copy is because this movie has yet to gain an official physical release, and since it's one of my all time favorites, my physical collection feels empty without it. But because it's a screener copy, it costs a pretty penny, and I don't want to pay that much if it ends up that it won't even play in my blu ray player. Will a screener copy work just fine on any ol regular blu ray player? And is there anything else I should know about screener copies? I appreciate the advice.
What did you watch during the last week?

Found this at one of my regular Thrift stores 'pop-up' Christmas Markets where they had a bunch of other Christmas DVD's. Its been on my list for a long time but has proved elusive. More Daniel Bruhl is always a good add to the collection!
My local Walmart got rid of their $5 DVD bin btw :(
Got a little bit of everything here. Also finally cracking the seal on Candyman.
Now I have my own copy of Ninja Scroll that isn't my father's, and another adition to my Anime/OVA pile.
Also, Hoodwinked sux.
Iโd like to buy the full series on DVD, but I want to be sure I donโt accidentally get the slim packaging where all of the discs are stacked on top of one another.
Amazon has one listing that is clearly labeled โslim packagingโ, and then another set that does not say slim packaging, but when I sent a message to one of the sellers asking about it, they said that thereโs is also the slim packaging design.
Walmart.com also has it listed, with no mention of slim packaging, but some of the reviews indicate that it is in fact the slim packaging design.
Target.com does not specify, but I can only assume itโs also slim packaging.
New flea market finds tonight!!!!
I Am Legend was missing, but still had Omega Man. Rather have that one anyway.
Finally found this one been looking years
I've been eyeballing the X-Men movies lately and the Wolverine movies in particular. Went browsing Fandango to check prices there, as I've read the digital codes for Origins and The Wolverine may be expired in new copies or unused codes. I knew The Wolverine had an extended edition, but didn't realize Origins did as well. Along with different endings for each cut of the film.

SPOILER ALERT FOR DECADES OLD MOVIE IN CASE YOUR PLANNING TO PURCHASE THEM AND STILL WANT IT TO REMAIN A SURPRISE!!!
(heavy breathing)
Sounds like one ending sequence gives viewers a spoiler to Deadpool's subsequent release, while the other hints towards the release of The Wolverine instead.
Just thought that was a super cool cinema factoid and wanted to share!
I'm guessing the Origins Ultimate Edition blu ray release would be the extended edition with the The Wolverine teaser...?
Does anyone know why found footage movies in the US don't get the 4k treatment even though the technology has been there a while? I mean, this is *literally* the best use for it, to clear up scenes that even in theaters was a bit dodgy. At least at home you can hit pause or go slo-motion. I'm talking Blair Witch Project, As Above, So Below, Phoenix Forgotten, 4th Kind, Quarantine, etc. I know a lot on this list isn't "popular" enough to make the cut, but still it would be nice.
Unfortunately there was only one person selling DVDs I was interested in, but they were 50p each, Withnail and I, and both of the Simpsons christmas specials were still in the package, which was very nostalgic to open because its been years since I've got a brand new DVD.
Also I was looking for of Withnail and I because I was reccomend to study one of the characters for my exam project at college, and of course I had to find it after I left college. Just my luck lmao.
I love the first one and own the soundtrack on cd, but I never saw this. I hope itโs just as strange as the RHPS.
