I have the actual film trailer from the studio, still with the sticker on the end as it’s never been used, for the 2003 Remake for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I have had this since the film was released but kind of need to money. What would something like this be worth? Anyone?
I am currently bidding for a FYC screenplay signed by Martin Scorcese and Steven Zaillian. FYC screenplays are screenplays send to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (Golden Globes people). The ebay seller claims it was given to him by someone in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The signatures do seem to match up with pictures and do seem somewhat legitimate, so I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a somewhat common practice?
Hey just wondering about what this thing is worth. Any input would be appreciated!
Would anyone have any idea what this is worth? I worked as a projectionist at Cineplex and I use to make up the film reels along with the trailer packages.
Recently someone remastered this trailer and posted it online, it reminded me that I still have this somewhere in a cupboard.
Hey all,
I had a quick question and this looks like the best place for it. I was going through my dad's attic and came across a huge number of original 35mm movie reels from various well known films. A lot of deleted scenes/test footage as well as original masters. He worked in the film industry all his life and has collected a huge amount of stuff (including scripts, story boards etc. - anything relating to the actual making of a movie back in the day.)
The problem is, I have no idea what to do with it all and just wondered if you guys had any ideas?
All the best, MixingWizard
Hello,
I have a bunch of trailers and some are kind of worthless (Spy Kids and The Matrix video game come to mind) but I don't know what to do with the Titanic trailer. I think it could be worth more than a $10 Spiderman 2 trailer. It is a historically significant movie in the movie world and I have seen listings from $35-$95 around (sounds like perhaps $50-$75 would be a sweet point there).
Is this the kind of thing that I would be better off holding on to and let it increase value? I have no idea how this world of movie memorabilia works and how digital technology has affected the value of trailers.
I've got some Lord of the Rings, Hellboy, Spiderman 2, Star Wars 2, Aliens, Alien vs. Predator, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Napoleon Dynamite, Elf... those all could be worth I would bet $5-$20 but they aren't sealed like the Titanic one, nor are they as long or enduring to collectors. I know the comic ones will always have a small audience. I'm planning to just throw away stuff like Brother Bear but I'm not sure if there is an audience there being one of the last hand-drawn Disney movies (it didn't fare well in the box office though).
Thanks!
Edit: I also have the trailer for Alien... could be worth something.
Does anyone have any good sources for 35mm Hollywood slides other than eBay? I'm looking in particular for slides and larger transparencies from the Christopher Reeve Superman film series. Please let me know if you can help. I'm willing to pay a commission if necessary. Thanks!
I need help trying to remember two old 80s or 90s movies, but one being an action movie, the other I think a thriller.
The thriller started off with a firefighter and his son, the son road in the truck with his dad as the answered a call about a fire, the movie made it seem as the fire was alive, his father never made it, the title looked like flames with a picture of a man in the middle.
Anyway, years later the son became a firefighter as well, last part of the movie looked like it was a west house, the bottom was completely engulfed in flames, and the firefighters where one bridges, scuffles? Anyway, one of them slipped as the platform broke underneath him, the other guy had to decide, either leave him, or save him, he decided to same him.
The Action one, I saw it start around the middle, this guy looked like he was covered it 3ed degree burns, he dies laying against a brick wall, school or something? He had some type of watch, or bracelet, it started up, dropping a yellow liquid, the guy’s body was recovering, regeneration, he came back to life.
Crooks where going back a woman, girlfriend, wife, he was going after them, and he just came back to life, he goes and lours one of them to a shed, he opens it to see the guy with those TNT Detonator, he blows himself up along with the crook, body parts flying everyone, then they start dragging and reforming like the Iron Giant meets T-1000.
At the end, his girl dies, so he puts another bracelet on her, and he dies from his injuries too, police and ambulance came, they get put into body bags, near the end, they wake up, I think there where paramedics near by as they both got up, and walked away.
Does anyone know the names of these two movies?
I have a vast collection featuring original prints from the 1950s-1970s. The prints are from pictures taken on the sets of various films filmed in the italian-hollywood era. A few celebrities pictured are Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Sean Connery and Frank Sinatra among others. We are talking about beatiful well maintained pieces of art, some of them were sold around 1k-3k$ at auctions in Italy. Now I have the opportunity to bring them to the american market and have idea where to start or who to contact. I'm thinking about emailing Christie's and Sotheby's which are both famous auction houses. Does anyone have any clue what steps to take besides blindly emailing giant auction houses? Would ebay be a good option?
Who would be intetested in a contest? Or what about a entry fee contest? Please let me know in the comments below!
So, My late uncle loved movie stuff!!! He left them to me, I have no use for collectables (Movie Busts). It includes: STAR WARS, ALIEN, MUPPETS,LORD OF THE RINGS, STARTREK, ETC.. most from early 2000's (GENTLE GIANT). Don't know what to do with it and EBAY is too much work for all of these. Not all of them are in Mint condition but most are. I am willing to sell all of them, I do know what they are worth, just looking for an easier platform that won't cost too much to post. Will upload link to pictures, if interest in a particular one i will send detailed image.
