A friend has experience as a videographer, but is finding it hard to find work in America. Any suggestions for agencies to apply to or how to tap into freelance opportunities? I’m not in this field at all so my suggestions might be unrealistic. Thanks!

I have created a YouTube Channel before which posted copyright-free music videos, monetized it for a while, and then sold it on.
I am now looking to start a new YouTube Channel along the lines of the Top 10 channels, that bring in a good number of views.
Looking for someone who would be interested in being a partner on the channel and would have experience in video editing/content creation.
I'd be looking to hopefully monetize the channel in a number of months (or shorter) and then the revenue would be split even etc.
Comment below or send me a pm if you would be interested.
we can talk in discord for more info
you can do whatever you want with the video

Hello fellow videographers! I would like to ask if is it really safe to use dummy batteries?
I have a 6D Mark 1, I use it as a back up coverage camera on standby. Changing the batteries are really tedious.
I found one brand that might be good. any thoughts and suggestions?

Not a professional, however I enjoy making videos during our vacations. I got A6600 last year during pandemic, so this will be my first test, 3 weeks long trip. Videos I did shoot at home, all seem pretty heavy compared to my old camera, feel like I will be running out of space pretty quickly. Right now I have 126GB SD SunDisk Extreme, so I was thinking of picking up 256GB one. However can't decide if it is enough of not...
Curious how you guys handle planning like that?
Hey guys,
I'm new to this group. There seems to be so many passionate videographers.
Have any of you guys used camera transmitter much before?
Me and two other people and trying to develop a WiFi based cheap video transmitter for cameras.
If any one is interested in the prospect of this idea, id love to talk or chat and get some opinions and expertise on this.
Would really enjoy and appreciate the feedback and interest.
Looking for videographers who are able to shoot acoustic sessions
Hello everyone! I recently got a Canon C100 Mk2. I see that the EVF image is always jittery, though the recorded video and the video on the flip screen seem to be fine.
I've tried all kinds of adjustments, but still the same. Video is clear, contrast and colours seem to be fine, but video jitters (only) in the viewfinder. It gets better with adjustments, but it's never smooth like the recorded video or the video on the flip screen.
Is this a normal thing for this camera? Does it need service? Or is there something I'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am a videographer for a startup called SEQL (stands for Sports Equality) that is changing the college recruiting landscape. We are currently looking to recruit more videographers to film high school athletes’ workout sessions and some games. Every session you do, they will pay you $100. It is strictly workout clips, no editing. You can work from anywhere in the United States, filming whenever fits your schedule. If you are interested, DM me on Instagram @ timmykern
Please let me know if this is not allowed.
We're looking to hire an on-call videographer in the Washington, DC area. Would love to consider you if you're local. Take a read through our description below.

Hey fellow entrepreneurs, camera guys and gals. Has anyone come across a file sharing platform that allows others to upload footage from their phone without having to create an account or be added via invite?
Usage example: I’m covering a large event and the business owner wants his audience to have the ability to scan a QR code from a projector, which links to an upload page. The audience would be able to upload the uncompressed video to this landing page/folder, and I would have access to this page after the event to download usable footage. It would contain 100+ videos of the event from 100+ audience members.
I’ve looked into google drive and Dropbox but it seems like you can’t upload without being invited for either service. Not sure if an FTP or FileZilla type thing would work for this as I have very little experience with it... thank you in advance for any knowledge sharing!
We will be filming in the Scarborough area.
Hello Everyone,
I'm an amateur freelance photographer and recently went through the pain of fixing a 4tb HDD which corrupted 3 times while my sd cards began to fill up. Since then, while not fully necessary I learned I'll be using an SSD for now on.
While now fixed, since then, for peace of mind, I've been looking into online backup services, and thankfully there are plenty of good options - but noticed cons in features and accessibility. This has lead me to the idea of creating a new backup service tailored for photographers and videographers that ticks off annoyances in other services.
My question for the community here is what are your biggest struggles with data backup services if you have any?
What are you looking for in an optimized online solution for data backup and accessibility, what would that look like to you?
Would you be looking for a package that isn't just solely based on data backup? If so what would that look like?
If you do use a service, what is it and why do you use it?
Thank you everyone for your feedback.
edit: Haha nevermind lol
