Wondering if it’s possible to do so without it being depicted like every other movie scene
I'm from Delhi Technological University. We've built a startup aimed at creating a platform for artists (actors, writers, directors, dubbing artists, etc.), where they can create their profiles, upload their skills, and showcase their work. Casting agencies or studios can then hire them from our platform
However, we lack firsthand knowledge of the struggles artists face. We're seeking information about struggling artists or what they really need.
So we are conducting a survey via Google form (attached link below) for ground research. If you or your fellow artists could spare some time to fill out this Google form, it will really helpful for us.

Currently 17 and going into Senior Year. How'd I do?
Wrote and directed this, been out for a month now. Hope you enjoy :)
Hi Everyone - I am a filmmaker from the CT area, currently working on a horror-comedy short in a couple of weeks, and we are still figuring out a couple of DP & production details. We are trying to create a fake fireworks scenario in which both actors, in a medium-wide, look up at the sky to observe fireworks (that's the easy part, as the sky will be pitch black, and we can CG-add the fireworks), however, in terms of shooting, how would one go about lighting their faces as if the fireworks flash and fill the shadows of the shot?
We have a couple of RGB-LED panels. Perhaps program them to strobe?
Any ideas are welcome, and thanks a bunch in advance!
Here’s a student film I made for my highschool. It took 7 days to shoot and a semester to write. It’s dedicated to my aunt who passed away filming. We played it in a theatre and we plan to put it in film festivals. Please give it a view and like, hopefully this is inspiration that anyone at any age, even 17 can make a great film!
I'm working on a basic slasher and I need to find a cool mask ( I want something goofy but slightly uncanny like those bad president masks) should I design jt myself or buy one
I'm watching a movie where every character is made purposefully ugly with closeups and I was wondering if there was a specific technique of making characters as naturally ugly as possible.
Dear All, don’t know where to ask. I was walking late evening along the filmmaking set trucks and one caught my attention. There was “construction”, “props”, “catering”, but what is “candy truck”? Is it some kind of slang? Thank you!
Sorry if this has been posted here before, but I'm just trying to figure this out. Last year I made three short films that I'm proud of and one that was thrown together (not to mention two that have been in post production limbo and one I'm currently filming). I posted them on YouTube, got them on IMDB, put them on my website, made trailers that I used to advertise them on Instagram, posted on reddit, and submitted them to film festivals. Is there anything else I can be/should be doing to get my stuff out there? Tips on distribution and marketing and whatever else I should be doing after finishing the movies. Really any and all feedback would be great.
