Snoo thought he heard a subliminal message on the latest cassette he was playing. He eagerly unscrewed the screws on each corner of the tape. It didn't take long to put the reels on backwards. When he finished it wasn't much of a surprise it was telling him to share pictures of his cassette tapes, cassette players, analog equipment on Reddit. It also wanted him to promote tape labels, make tape compilations, and share the love of the format. The tape self destructs. Snoo eats the magnetic tape!

The sky isn't theirs to see. Ir's what they have always believe. The only sound they heard. Never meant much to her.
She never listened to their words. They all hated her and was ignored. When she tried talking to them. They turned their backs and walked away.
All day she had time to think, And was beginning to believe everything was a lie. Being alone was OK. As she listed to her Judas Priest cassette on her WALKMAN!

Ive gotten the basics down pretty good, but i just want to check so the tape im going to record onto tonight comes out great. ;)
I looked up who martha labagh is and it was some lady who was born in like the late 1800s and lived till the 70s and told stories about stuff
So ive had this in my family for a long time and i recently replaced the speaker however it seems as if this thingy is not spinning when playing and its causing my cassette tape to be unwinded without being respooled (best way i can explain). Is this supposed to spin while playing also is it an easy fix to get this thing spinning?
I am going through a lot of my old cassettes and finding I have some pretty good ones. For those who are in the know about this stuff, how much less is a ~20$ cassette worth if it is cassette only (no album sleeve or whatever it's called)? And another question, for really valuable tapes, are people interested in buying the cover only? I can't find the cassette at this time for my Jeff Buckley tape 😢 afraid it's lost forever. Thanks!
I have limited space on my shelf and needed to put my speaker on tip of the cassette player. The vibrations from the speaker are minimal even at full volume. Thought? Anyone have a similar setup?
I think I've flipped them 3 times at this point to no avail, and every time the tape gets all twisted so I have to spend 15 minutes unraveling tape salad to get it all in place again to test it and listen to demonic Chopin again
Hi! I got my second casette player in my life itt schaub-lorenz stereo recorder 85 and it sound and looks amazing. But i would love to record music on it straight from my phone. It has (i assume) 7 pinn din port on the front. Could someone walk me trough how could i make it possible? And also can i just re recors on old casettes straight or do i need blanks?
Now I have three tape players and a CD player. I need to get more tapes.
Sony MHC-RG40. System flashes "NO TAPE" when I try to play a tape in either deck. Cleaned the heads, recording head on tape B (right), rollers, and capstans on both decks with 70% isopropyl alcohol/water, nothing. The unit doesn't have any mechanical switches to move the transport but I don't even think it's trying to do what it need to in an attempt to play because somehow... can't figure out how, it's not detecting a tape in either deck. All the latches and things look to be in place. Manual doesn't have anything about this error code or what to do to troubleshoot it. Any ideas how an early 2000s system "detects" a tape? Is there a switch somewhere? Tried the top/middle "arm", nothing. The B side (right has 3 top arms vs. 1 on left) but I think those are for detecting the record holes on a tape (B/right can only record).
I've been collecting cassette since May, the ones on the bottom right with no cover art are (starting from the top left) Ramones- Ramones-mania New York Dolls- Too Much too soon Black Flag- First Four Years Nirvana - Incesticide Nirvana - MTV Unplugged Sublime - Greatest Hits
Favorite tape: RMFC - Club Hits, if you can find a copy get it, thank me later.
Hey all, looking for a couple tips on what I should get…
I was recently offered a box of old Dead bootleg cassettes by my buddy’s dad who feels he has no use for them anymore. This has had me going down the rabbit hole of where the cassette world can take me and I now have two main functions I’m looking for.
I already have a killer sound system with a Pioneer receiver so I’d like to find a tape deck that can easily plug and play through that. Ideally it’d be a smaller handheld one that can also record/playback when not hooked into my system.
I’d also like for there to be a digitizing option as I would like to convert the tapes and gift them back to my friend’s dad as a gift in mp3 form.
I’ve seen a bunch of larger tape decks in the $400 range which I’m not really looking to pay, and I’ve seen some much cheaper handheld ones with usb inputs for conversion. I probably need something in between but if anyone knows if there’s a version of the smaller old school looking ones that can also plug into the aux input or another channel in my receiver, that’d be ideal. Anyone have any hot tips? Thanks!
I Have A 1995 aiwa NSX-4000 Stereo that i had ever since I was a Kid and now when i insert a cassette it plays but eats the tape. if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!
Hi everyone!
