Snoo thought he heard a subliminal message on the latest cassette he was playing. He eagerly unscrewed the screws on each corner of the tape. It didn't take long to put the reels on backwards. When he finished it wasn't much of a surprise it was telling him to share pictures of his cassette tapes, cassette players, analog equipment on Reddit. It also wanted him to promote tape labels, make tape compilations, and share the love of the format. The tape self destructs. Snoo eats the magnetic tape!

The sky isn't theirs to see. Ir's what they have always believe. The only sound they heard. Never meant much to her.
She never listened to their words. They all hated her and was ignored. When she tried talking to them. They turned their backs and walked away.
All day she had time to think, And was beginning to believe everything was a lie. Being alone was OK. As she listed to her Judas Priest cassette on her WALKMAN!

Been waiting for this guy to show up and it finally did! It’s in decent shape as well, tapes play a little slower however I have a new belt on order. Also FF/Rew are not working either hopefully that’s not to much of a pain to fix, worse case scenario there is a local guy that fixes vintage audio equipment. Either way I’m super happy with it and damn it looks good.
I’ll listen to it when I get home from work today and post the playlist tomorrow.
Recently got a Sony Walkman wm-af48 and replaced the belt, it’s working but the audio sounds slow and warped, what’s the best way to go about fixing that?
A few days ago I brought my first walkman - used Sony WM-FX12 (and a few tapes). While listening to music on it, the right side is visibly louder than left, and i wanted to ask if there is something i could do with that. My headphones are working properly for sure, and they don't have a mic so there shouldn't be any problem with the Jack. I'm relatively new to walkmans and tapes so i hope i'll get some insight here
Hello everyone! My Walkman was working beautifully but then all audio stopped coming through. I sent it to a friend and he replaced a capacitor and got it working again. Now it’s started to make this static sound during playback. I don’t know where to look to try and fix it. Video of the sound is attached. I appreciate any help!
Hello everyone, my grandpa just gave me his portable cassette player and i want to burn my music into it but i dont know how. It looks like a new modern player with a USB C cable and AUX cable, i tried to search youtube but they only shown how to do on the player with the mic in port. Anyone knows how to? Please help
some walkmans that i don't need , belt's are replaced ,i ship in europe only.
I've got some old tapes, and a couple of audiobooks I'd like to part with for cheap.
I have some KOSS Porta Pro's coming in next week and I'm worried it won't work. Basically my tape player works just fine when I plug in my sound bar, but then when I plug in my white earphones they don't play at all. I tried another pair I had with me and only the right ear played (although this might just be a problem with the earphones themselves). I then tried plugging in the earphones to an AudioComm cassette player I had lying around. This time, the white earphones WORKED.
Anyone know what might be causing this?
A cassette storage rack. Preferably vintage wood with felt. 50-100 capacity.
Hi everyone, I have a large box of cassette recordings of local sports games that I would like to digitize. They are on medium to low quality cassettes so the original source audio is not high quality. Is it possible to take advantage of high speed dubbing on a cassette deck and send the audio out to a computer to capture, then slow it down later using software? Or does high speed dubbing only send the audio to the internal second cassette deck to record? Alternately is there any dedicated vintage hardware made for this purpose? Thanks!
Recently restored a walkman that worked and sounded perfectly with an old tape I had on hand. I was trying a lot of old tapes I found with some sounding extremely muffled and distorted. I was going through all of them and they all sounded like a huge muffled mess. Then I played the tape that was in perfect condition and it also began sounding muffled and awful :(. I don't know what happened or how to fix this.
Another gem from the depths of our legendary “unsorted box”! ✨ This thing is a never-ending treasure chest of cassette surprises! 🙂

Hi! I'm looking for recommendations on a good (but reasonably priced) portable tape recorder with an external mic jack. I have two right now, one who's motor is dying and the other is unfortunately mono not stereo. Any recommendations/personal experiences are useful and welcome. Thanks in advance!
Brashs was an Australian store.
What are you guys reaching for first out of this rack?
I am trying to record some music onto a cassette, however I don't have any spare blank cassettes at the moment, the only tape I am able to use is a "phantom of the opera" cassette which I don't want to listen to, however it is a type II tape. My boombox does not have the ability to record in type II so I am only able to record in type 1, will that distort the sound noticeably or will it be not very different from a type 1 tape?
Thank you :)
I just bought this pioneer CT-W310 and I'm planning on recording a lot of mix tapes and I've never had a deck this "nice" So it's kinda got me confused with what the recording level is and what I should set it to. Does it very depending on the type of cassette?
I decided to post since I’ve seen these cassettes being mentioned here recently. Has anyone else noticed these are very hit or miss? I’ve bought them a few times, and some of the recordings turned out very good. Other times the tapes came out sounding a little dull, but still good enough. For $2/tape I couldn’t complain.
Just a few days ago I made a recording from a 5 pack I recently bought. The tape shed like crazy in my deck, which I’ve never had happen before with a UR. The tape also looked different than what I’m used to… normally the tape is shiny. This tape was very dull, and I could see where the oxide was coming off. I opened a 2nd tape from that 5 pack and it was the same. Not surprisingly, the recordings sounded awful. Very muffled, and high wow and flutter from all the oxide building up on the pinch roller.
Honestly I don’t think I’ll buy these again if the quality is this inconsistent. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
