tried to use a vhs player for the first time in years, and it ate my favorite tape
i had a weird gut feeling and anxiety about it and i was right. thought i was just nervous since i hadn't used one in a long time. after this one of my friends advised me to eject the tape, but its got ahold of it.
it's partially stuck out, but it has the tape itself. is there a way to free it? is it salvageable if we get it out?

Trying to find a title to an NAT GEO vhs?
I’m trying to find a title to a specific National Geographic vhs from the 1990s. I use to watch it all the time as a kid. I haven’t seen it since that time. Should be between 1997-2000 or so. But it was a snake segment. Not sure if it was reptiles in general but want to say specifically snakes. But the beginning is what I remember very vividly. These people had this woman hooked up with wires, like for monitoring her heart rate or something and they were like testing her fear of snakes and I remember she was crying while they did it. It was kinda crazy lol. Does anyone remember this?

Help needed for Sony SLV-N50 VCR error
I recently was attempting to clean some VHS tapes I acquired that had grown mold, and found that my VCR suddenly appears to have issues with any tape I put into it, with the error code 21508 being displayed.
The tape in this video I am testing is one that I know works fine, and after 3 different tapes tested, I found that none of them work.
If there is any additional info I can provide that may help with troubleshooting, please let me know. I really appreciate any advice or help!!

A Couple of Grails
I have been looking for a copy of Army of Darkness since I started collecting VHS. Yesterday I snagged it with the OG Evil Dead, the entire LOTR trilogy, and 10-15 other tapes, a couple of them sealed, all for $10 from an AWESOME collector in my area who was trying to downsize. I'm a happy camper!

Hi been getting into VHS tapes lately and wanted to know if it’s like a sin to tape over random movies tapes i find. In my local goodwills they sell tapes in fine condition for 99 cents, and debating whether to just tape over them since blanks are hard to come by in my thrift stores.

Any way to "block" the heads?
I have a funcional VCR but I want to use it to clean moldy tapes (just rewind and fastforward tapes). I was wondering if theres a way to cover the heads, like with paper or plastic or something, so I just have to clean up the pines and all the mecanism after I clean a tape. Any tip?

Hey. I want to create a custom VHS sleeve and have it printed on an actual cardboard sleeve. Has anyone tried this site, offtrackoutlet.com? Or are there any other pages that will print on cardboard? I design it myself of course, but I don't have a printer that can print on cardboard.
