i need help with a ced player i got, i got some rca stereo ced player and for some reason, it doesn't accept ced discs even when i put it in and pull it out. any help?
I have a decent collection of CEDs that a friend gave to me but its hard to find a working player. I'm open to get some for parts. What's are the challenges of repairing one that you have come across?
Edit: Forgot to add the word "player" in the title. Sorry about that
Pulled these discs and the player from my grandma's house. After 40 years of the elements they still work great!
Both belts are good, motors work. It has a stylus. But it just never starts. I kinda felt like there was too much of a gap between the stylus and the disc, but even when I disabled the off lever and got it close, it did the same. CEDmagic only suggests it either is missing the stylus or it's damaged. But it isn't. So I'm out of ideas. Getting a stylus is more than buying another player, so I don't want to just throw money at it. Any ideas?
Some new movies I got that I can't wait to start watching. Already opened and watched one of them. Can you tell which one? Which movie(s) are one your list to watch?
While on vacation with my family in new Orleans, I came across two CED players tucked away in the back of a local store! I’ve always been intrigued by the history of CEDs, so it was an exciting find. Since I can’t take one back with me on a plane, I’m wondering if anyone nearby would be interested in them. I’m not sure about their rarity or condition, but I can revisit the store and take pictures if anyone wants more details.
Hello. This is my very first CED player that I have ever bought (and seen). I have this issue above going on. The colors flicker and it seems to be skipping horribly. It can sometimes go a little further but it just loops back. The store I bought it from is reputable and said it was working. I am wondering if something got damaged during the 2.5 hour drive. Maybe it’s the stylus cartridge? Any help would be appreciated
Hi, I’m about to buy my first ced in the city my parents live in but won’t be able to bring it home with me until January (if not later), so I need to know how to store it safely until then. Thanks
I've been tinkering with several broken CED players for the past several days, and I am finally SO close to having one work! All the buttons function properly and it even plays the disc (as the indicator on-player shows, that is; I have yet to connect it to a TV to test a disc's output), but the disc actually doesn't get rejected/ejected put of the player. What's the problem that causes this? Is it as easy as greasing up some of the gears to make this work, or is it something else?
Been looking for a functional player for years now. Got it hooked up and it works like a charm. Anyone else have issues with the sound though? It seems to be an issue with every disc. Just very quiet and full of hiss. Any tips for getting it dialed? Running to a receiver maybe?
I have communication access to an estate that has over a hundred CED and at least 2 players, working as to my knowledge. I am not profiting from this, just trying to connect people.
I don't know the actual model, but it has stereo. Bought off ebay for $121 and came with 16 movies. It works fine but needs replacement belts (I'm literally using rubber bands because I didn't have anything else)
Just got my First Ever CED in the mail today. I don't own a CED Player yet mainly because my goal was to secure a copy of the content I wanted first and then I would purchase a Player.
Hopefully in November or December I can buy a Player.
Got any suggestions how how I can keep my CED safe while I want to buy a player?
Thanks in advance.
How would one go about connecting a CED Player to a modern TV?
Can I connect a CED Player to a VCR from the CED's Antenna Out to the VCR's Antenna In and then connect the VCR to an Elgato Video Capture and or a AV to USB and record using OBS and or Elgato?
Hey all, I recently acquired my aunts collection of CED'S and I can't find any information on this film or what it could possibly be worth. Any ideas or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I bought a crate of CEDs two years ago thinking it was going to be my “new thing” but it turns out I was just going through a manic episode. I found them in my closet while cleaning up and I’m thinking of selling them. There’s 29 of them in total (some are repeated titles). Wanted to see if anyone is interested or knew where I could post them for sale? (I’ll go to EBay as a last resort)
