Been looking for a functional player for years now. Got it hooked up and it works like a charm. Anyone else have issues with the sound though? It seems to be an issue with every disc. Just very quiet and full of hiss. Any tips for getting it dialed? Running to a receiver maybe?
I have communication access to an estate that has over a hundred CED and at least 2 players, working as to my knowledge. I am not profiting from this, just trying to connect people.
I don't know the actual model, but it has stereo. Bought off ebay for $121 and came with 16 movies. It works fine but needs replacement belts (I'm literally using rubber bands because I didn't have anything else)
Just got my First Ever CED in the mail today. I don't own a CED Player yet mainly because my goal was to secure a copy of the content I wanted first and then I would purchase a Player.
Hopefully in November or December I can buy a Player.
Got any suggestions how how I can keep my CED safe while I want to buy a player?
Thanks in advance.
How would one go about connecting a CED Player to a modern TV?
Can I connect a CED Player to a VCR from the CED's Antenna Out to the VCR's Antenna In and then connect the VCR to an Elgato Video Capture and or a AV to USB and record using OBS and or Elgato?
Hey all, I recently acquired my aunts collection of CED'S and I can't find any information on this film or what it could possibly be worth. Any ideas or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I bought a crate of CEDs two years ago thinking it was going to be my “new thing” but it turns out I was just going through a manic episode. I found them in my closet while cleaning up and I’m thinking of selling them. There’s 29 of them in total (some are repeated titles). Wanted to see if anyone is interested or knew where I could post them for sale? (I’ll go to EBay as a last resort)
Titles: -Singing in the rain -War games -Elvis in blue hawaii -True grit -She wore a yellow ribbon -Old yeller -Planet of the apes -The blue lagoon -The ten commandments -The quiet man -The bridge on the river kwai -High noon -Witness for the prosecution -The green berets -The horse soldiers -The comancheros -Elvis in ( fun in acalpulco) -The alamo -The birds -The songs of Katie Elder -Sands of iwo jima -Rio lobo -Chariots of fire
Anyone know of some places -- videostores, thriftshops, record stores -- that occasionally (or better yet, frequently) carry CEDs, Laserdiscs, or betamax tapes, or CEDs in New York City? I'm visiting for awhile and looking to hit some good spots to dig.
I have a zenith vp2000 and the belt for the arm is shot and I have no idea what size it is or where to get it does anyone know what to look for ?? I've looked on some forums and got no clear answer
I’m hoping someone can help me or point me in the right direction.
I found these among my dad’s records from living in England in the 80s. What piece of equipment do I need to be able to play these? I can’t find much information online and it seems to be system specific (PAL?) but I’m unsure where to go from here? Any help would be appreciated. I am not even sure what to Google.
Any idea what this issue is? Disk seems to be playing at the right speed but the image black and white and has an offset ghosting image. Very new to CED so I’d love some help, thanks so much!
Some zenith unit, I don't know the model because it came in the box for an unrelated RCA unit. As you can see in the video, there is some color distortion and even flickers black and white sometimes as well as some weird wobbling on the screen. It came with 27 movies and I want to watch them. Please help me fix this issue
I acquired some disks and a VIP1000 device that isn’t working. I took it apart the belts were mush and almost liquid. Fuses look good but it isn’t powering on. I have been unable to find much information on the devices and was wondering if anyone had recommendations to get it working. Thanks in advance.
A really simple fix this time. One if the RCA plugs had its end sheared off somehow and got stuck in the port in the back. A simple pair of pliers did the trick, now I can get to watching Earth, Wind and Fire IN CONCERT!
So I work at an antique store and a gentleman brought in a zenith video disc player with a ton of discs and I wanted it for myself and I told him I would test it this week and get back to him well I plugged it in it worked for a few moments then skipped so I removed the disc and inserted it again and now it will only play very slow stuttered the colors aren't in line and the audio is extra quiet and it skips every few seconds I was curious if anyone here had an answer if it's a simple solution or if it would be as in depth as a cartridge replacement which from what I find online is not an easy thing to come by I love this thing I would love to keep it but if it doesn't work I can't see buying it any help would be appreciated thank you !
So I've had a videodisc player for awhile and have never been able to get it to fully work. My problem is I have very quiet audio and completely black video. I think it's some sort of electrical problem because the only way the signal can reach a TV is being pplugged in directly, if I try to use vcr pass thru I get no signal. The player is a SJT - 090 by RCA, any help would be appreciated:)
