[Chrome] When clicking on a thread/post, multiple tabs getting address box updated.

When I click a thread, it opens in a new tab. This is good and expected.

The problem is, since the recent update, both the new tab and the current tab address boxes are updated with the new tab address.

This is an annoyance, and as a dev would consider a bug.

Is this by design?

[Chrome] Editing a comment deletes last paragraph of quoted text block.

This issue seems to have started since the recent visual update. I'm using www.reddit.com rather than old.reddit.com or new.reddit.com

I'm trying to edit this comment. It contains the following content (sorry it's a bit graphic - I was demonstrating 'show' vs 'tell' in r/writers):

With a casual flick of the wrist Dave's saber whipped through the flesh of Bob's throat.

Bob's sword dropped as he clutched both hands to his neck, struggling to stem pulsing spurts of blood. He fell to his knees.

When I go to edit the comment - or even when I use 'Back to Rich Text Editor' here in composing this comment - it deletes all the quoted text except:

With a casual flick of the wrist Dave's saber whipped through the flesh of Bob's throat.

A similar thing happened earlier with a different comment. Based on that I think it's specifically deleting the last paragraph of a block of quoted text?

Any help would be appreciated since this is obviously a bug that could potentially result in quite a bit of content loss.

Thanks.

Chrome version: 123.0.6312.123

The stream and my histories are messed up [firefox] on [windows]

I have no access to the stream that you normally access by clicking on the 'reddit' button. It just gives the notification that "There is no content to display". Unless I select 'new' and then I get a list of posts from up to 3 years ago from " ADMIN"

My replies history isn't highlighting all new replies so I am missing a lot of them but that only goes back 10 or 20 now before it stops.

My comments history only goes back maybe 8 comments if it is showing anything at all. Just as often as not it will show something like "You have no activity yet" with nothing listed.

That is with this latest design iteration. Ever since I have been on the site I occasionally get some kind of crash when I click comment to upload what I have written with the only solution to ignore the sites retry button which usually does nothing and instead hit the browsers back button which takes me to a random place after possibly or possibly not taking my comment. I have learned to tolerate this though as the quirk of reddit.

The top problem is the latest and biggest issue. It started when I tried the option to go back to the previous style that took me back years rather than weeks hoping that the other two more intermittent issues would be resolved. When I opted back to the newest version the feeds were gone as described.

I can still use reddit if I know the name of the subs or what I am specifically looking for but predictability in a small bubble and no reliable way to go back to see how conversations evolved has made it all a bit pointless.

[desktop web] r/popular broken on new.reddit.com

It doesn't load any posts and just shows "Reddit gets better when you join communities, so find some that you’ll love!" with a link to the broken r/popular page.

I'm using new.reddit.com instead of just reddit.com as a workaround for the Global content view setting bug that has been broken for FOUR MONTHS. This bug just started today though.

[Android] Swipe / drag to close image post is too sticky

Swiping on images in general is tuned badly. When I try to close an image post by swiping/ dragging down it takes a lot of effort and is way too sticky. This should be an effortless swipe so I can go back to the feed quickly. Now I have to be super careful and intentional about it and it's annoying.

Block isn’t working and neither is mute notifications [ios]

I tried blocking an account but I’m still getting notifications from them when they reply to my comments on a specific post, I also tried muting the post to stop getting notifications from the post specifically and that didn’t work either. The account still pops up and I have tried blocking them twice closing the app in between.

[desktop web] Profile has been saying "u/Ok_Sleep8579 hasn't posted yet" and "u/Ok_Sleep8579 hasn't commented yet" for about a month

The title states the issue. It started happening a month or so ago with a new type of screen layout. Happens regardless of browser on MacBook Pro. At one point things went back to the older (not Old Reddit) screen layout for a few hours and everything worked, then back to the new screen layout where it doesn't work.

It makes Reddit unusable, basically, as you can't follow up on anything you post. I've barely posted or used reddit since it started happening.

Old Reddit works.

Any help is appreciated!

[Android] Posts on Reddit app jumping to top/best comment instead of showing content posted by OP.

So, I noticed today that any time I click on a post via the Reddit app it's taking me right to the top/best comment and not automatically showing me what the OP posted.

For instance if it's an image that OP posted, Reddit is not showing me the image and instead takes me down to the top/best comment. I have to scroll up to see the actual post content.

Is this a new feature? And if so, is there a way to disable it?

[ios] new swipe left is out of sync

On iOS I'm used to swipe left to go out of a post back to the main feed. It used to be that the post was a layer, and you would swipe away the layer. Now the post minimizes back to the main UI feed. Very jarring experience. But the worst part is that it doesn't track my finger correctly so the feedback mechanism is broken.
