I do not like the appearance of tubing mascara. I’m looking for a primer or powder that will ensure that my mascara does not end up on my eyelids.
Has anyone tried or swatched both the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation and the Sheer Glow in shade Mont Blanc that can attest to if there’s any different in lightness or tone?
Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc is my perfect shade but wanting to try to LRF formula, so hoping they’re almost identical.
I’ve been using the Anastasia brow gel for years and today it’s like dried out but still works kinda with water lol. The rest I fill in with pencil.
Is there an easier product to use for brows? Mine are pretty normal except they don’t grow as much anymore so they are thinning out.
I need easy brows and something that holds up in this heat 🥵
Thank you 😊
Are you still able to collect your birthday gift at Sephora in store, or is it online only?
Went into store yesterday and the girl at the counter looked in the cupboard for a second, turned back around, and then told me they don’t give them in store anymore and I have to order it online. She was acting strange and I have a hunch she was lying (if they were out of stock, she could have just told me??) so I wanted to double check if it’s true before I go to another store to check so I don’t have to do an online order.
What makeup Xmas gift sets do we have our eye on! I’m looking at the benefit and charlotte tilbury ones. I might buy one as a Christmas present to myself.
Do you think the sets are worth the price for the mini sizes? I kind of just want to get it so I can try a couple products before purchasing a full size. I also don’t go through makeup very quickly so minis are fine for me. Do you think the mini sets are better value for money opposed to buying the individual full size products?
Apologies, I'm going to get terminology or the sub wrong. This is way outside my lane hence asking here.
I'm after any suggestions here for a consult for both my wife and teenage daughter to help them pick a makeup brands and colours that match their complexion and style. My wife has complained a heap of times over a few years she never knows.
Is there a specific name for this kind of service for me to Google? And any advice I need to know when booking one?
Or is it something I need to just give as cash in a card?
How much should I expect to pay for this?
I'm looking at the sensible come ethical budget (ie as cheap as I can be, while still getting a decent result)
CBD / inner north of Melbourne suggestions also welcome.
In an attempt to refresh my makeup look, I splurged on a Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette and am now thinking about getting an eyeshadow primer as a base.
I have sensitive and oily skin and am currently considering the Morphe eyelid primer in translucent ($15).
Wondering if anyone has used this specific product and if so, if you would recommend?
Any other eye primers you would recommend? Willing to spend up to $20 for a first try.
Thank you 😊
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes nothing: I’m travelling back to my home country soon, and would like to bring back some Australian made products or anything that’s harder to find back in SEA. I’ve seen ethique and anihana recced as great shampoo bars but personally never tried them- are they worth getting as potential gifts? They both have prices reduced at woolies now so I figured why not? TIA
Has anyone had problems with this? It doesn't hold my brow hairs at all? I usually use Ardell brow glue, but thought I'd try this but severely disappointed. What am I doing wrong?!
Thanks 🥰
It has been lightly used, I tried it on once 🥰
I really wanted the 🐉 palette from Hourglass and noticed that Cult Beauty are the only ones who still have it in stock. The problem is, their reviews were shockingly horrible. I would really love this palette, but I’m scared to make such a pricey purchase just to potentially not end up receiving the product… I also noticed that they don’t do afterpay which is also a bit of a red-flag because if they did, I could dispute the issue with afterpay if I didn’t end up receiving my item.
Has anyone purchased anything from them, and how was your experience?
I’ve never used eye cream before but feel it’s about time as I can see a few lines forming. I am looking for an “anti-ageing” hydrating type eye cream for under my makeup during the day and obviously at night as well.
Preferably something you can get at chemist warehouse. The Roc creams look interesting but I can’t find many reviews on them. Anything else you love?
I have the got2b one and it's really really good. But I can't stand the smell (headaches and such) and I have sensitive skin.
I've had my eyes the vanicream strong hold hairspray but that is impossible to get into australia.
Anyone have any suggestions for fragrance-free and sensitive skin friendly hairsprays (preferably strong hold but I'll take what I can get at this point)?
Hi all!
On the hunt for a new foundation, I have dry skin with some blemishes. I prefer glowy foundations but not too glowy so maybe a semi matte or satin finish would be better, wouldn’t mind spending a bit more money on it and I have fair skin! Also after concealer recommendations.
Hey everyone,
I have long, straight and thick hair. I don’t have much volume and my hair gets pretty oily, usually within the first 2 days of washing. I also have a dry scalp and get dandruff and an itchy scalp. Does anyone have any recommendations for products sold at chemist warehouse or supermarkets? I want to change my Haircare routine and try a new product/brand. I’ve been using various L’Oréal elvive combos over the years but recently I’ve found that after drying my hair it looks oily already and looks like my hair is stuck together. Any recommendations that result in shiny hair, moisturised scalp and volume is highly appreciated!!
Thank you:)
Anyone have a moisturiser that doubles as a primer?
I know, I know - a proper primer would be better. But my thirsty skin still gets dry, despite various 'hydrating' primers. I usually need to wear moisturiser directly underneath.
Kiehls and Kit lotions have both worked for me in the past, but I'm hoping for a pharmacy buy.
Hi All,
Has anyone had any experience with Victoria Beckham Beauty and shipping with Asendia?
Decided to do a first order last weekend but shipping has been incredibly slow and the last tracking update was 3 days ago. To note, I couldn't locate any shipping timeframes on the Victoria Beckham Beauty website...
If you've ordered previously, did it take long to arrive? Who was the delivery partner in Australia (Aramex, DHL, AusPost, etc)?
Many thanks!
I skipped the last few, but this time I'm planning on getting the Ole Henrikson lip balm.
What about y'all?
I need help! I ordered some things off Cult Beauty on 18 Oct. All went smoothly until it got passed onto who I suspect is Aus Post.
Now this is the weird part - I got an Aus Post email saying to collect a parcel on 6 Nov which lines up roughly to this pic. The post office said it wasn’t under my name or my address and refused to give it to me. No one left one of those “we missed you” things at my door and my door bell didn’t pick up anyone so it definitely could’ve been a mistake.
BUT, the tracking I got sent with this pic uploaded said 0.3kg and the Aus post one also said 0.3kg as well.. Am I crazy to think it is this parcel or did Aus Post really eff up and sent me this email incorrectly? I emailed Cult Beauty and they can’t open a missing parcel until 12 Nov. I’m so confused, I just want my Saie products 😭
Does anyone know if I can return a mecca product without packaging? I purchased a morphe palette a month ago and have since decided the shades aren’t right for me (unused) but I didn’t keep the box it came in. I know opened and lightly used products are eligible for store credit within 90 days but does that mean I still must have the packaging?
does anyone know why sephora australia rarely ever has stock of any of the kayali fragrances and if so when are they restocking? holidays are coming up and i want to buy a couple but all the fragrances are showing "available in no stores nationwide"
Hi All,
I barely wear make up as most of it feels too heavy on my skin and I tend to be quite reactive. However if I can find options that work, I wouldn't mind looking slightly more polished for work
My workaround historically is to go for natural/organic brands, but I'd like options that last/work, suit more nature skin (doesnt go cakey as it settles into the cracks), and are reasonably priced.
I'm aware Im probably after a unicorn, but just in case can anyone suggest:
Bb cream with spf or foundation and spf I can mix with moisturiser;
Pencil eyeliner that won't end up halfway down my face (I blink excessively apparently);
Mascara with the same.
Possible lip, but usually lean to a tinted lip balm as the stickiness doesnt drive me mad.
Preference as I mentioned is natural, but even sensitive skin options would be great.
Thanks in advance 😊
I'm in my early 40s and think I've got my skincare game on point, but I've been doing my makeup the same basic way for the past 15 years. I've got all the products and tools, but I don't feel confident that I can utilise it all to my full potential.
Ideally I'd love someone who can look at my stash and current routine and help me improve on it.Has anyone utilised a personal makeup coach? If you have, do they come to your home like a wardrobe consultant or was it just in a store/studio environment? Did you find it actually helped without having to buy even more products?
Trying to find perfect transition eyeshadow shade for fair/light skin. What are your favourites? Thanks in advance.
Was looking at some products and found them cheaper on this website called Alabuu. It's a .com.au. Wondering if it's legit because I'm always wary when things are cheaper than all the other legit websites...
Hi! I am looking for some advice on nourishing/repairing hair masks or oils for heat damaged hair. I have relatively thick, straight hair and am looking for something nourishing. I do have fine strands of hair though, so not something too heavy. I was looking into the Redken acidic bonding mask/range but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money, so I’d love to know if anyone’s tried it. Thank you! ☺️☺️
Hello beauties!
Wondering if anyone has tried the Chantecaille Lip Chic lipstick and can provide their thoughts?
It seems like a glorified lip balm/lipstick hybrid but the amazing reviews have got me tempted to try it 😂
Please help 😂
