Does anyone know a lipstick in a shade similar to the one Gwendoline Christie’s wearing in Severance? It’pulling a little warm on the photo, but in the series it was like a mid tone reddish brown. Doesn’t matter what the finish is, but preferably matte.
I just found out that one of my makeup sponges have mold on it, so i threw it out. However, i store all of my makeup brushes and sponges together in one bag, and that sponge that has mold on it was also stored there.
Does this mean that all my makeup tools are contaminated too? Will i have to throw out all of my makeup tools? Thanks!
I recently discovered their Fixing Tint and have been obsessed so I wanted to try their other formulas as well. I wanted a rich red for Valentine's Day so I got shade RD302 the color was perfect when I first applied it, but it only stained the inner rim of my lips.
The first time I tried letting it sit 5 minutes before blotting, then 10, and this time I tried waiting an hour and it still only stained the inside of my lips! I exfoliated my lips and slept with the Laneige lip mask, my lips were in excellent condition today!
Am I just going to have to bin this one? It looks like I've been biting my lips, and not in a cute/sexy way but violently.
I am looking for the absolute best brow pencil- not pomade, not gel, not marker- pencil.
Qualities the WBBP (worlds best brow pencil) should match:
accurate colors (blonde is not green or yellow, taupe is not orange, brown is not grey, black is not auburn, etc).
fine stroke compatible for those who want to draw hair strokes, soft enough to glide across skin without creating too think of a line
lasting (meets a reasonable expectation for longevity with average use).
Did I miss anything? Do you know of a pencil that meets these requirements?
MAC In Extreme Dimension Mascara is my absolutely holy grail mascara, BUT it transfers to my upper lid throughout the day.... Tubing mascara solves this problem, but I cannot find one that replicates the formula of MAC -- I love the bulk/thickness it provides, and the length. The wand is perfect. Any leads for me? Thanks!
I recently just got the $100 Sephora Rouge store credit and I want to spend it on some long wearing lip products, since nothing seems to be staying for me. So far, I've had the most success with the Clarins Intense lip oils (I kind of use it as a stain) and the NYX Shine Loud, but both of them will fade by the time I'm done with work, especially the middle of my lips. I have some lipsticks that I like, but I only wear those occasionally since I know that they come off pretty fast once I eat or drink. I've tried liquid lip stains too (like Etude), but they always clump up and only stain the lip part towards my mouth.
I'm looking for something low maintenance that I can just throw on at the start of my day and will still have color by the end without me touching it up except maybe with lip balm just to hydrate. I want to try to stay away from super matte stuff since my lips do get very dry sometimes so matte things can get pretty patchy. If you have any recommendations for really long lasting lip liner too, that would be so helpful. Thank you!
I am not someone that uses make up on daily bases even when i do it's very basic: concealer, mascara, lipliner. I have never ever had any other colour on my eyes besides black and nudes. I bought a cheap drugstore eyeshadow palette and decided to give it a try. I struggled to keep the colour of the eyeshadow on the eye since it's cheaper.
Which palettes do you recommend?
Products i used: kubiss eye liner (blue) Fenty bright fix (under the eyes) Essence inner eye brightening pen
I've been doing some research and finally decided to try makeup once more, and so far l've only heard good things about both of them. Huda beauty easy bake loose baking and setting powder. And Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Blurring Under Eye Powder which would you say would be the best? Or should both of them be layered? I'm trying to go for a "pore-less" look In your opinion which do you think works better?
I’m trying to get into wearing makeup (concealer especially & maybe foundation) I am struggling to find a shade match. I’ve tried maybelline superstay in shade 330 and it makes me look like an orange cheeto. Morphe filter effect foundation is almost perfect but it makes my skin look patchy/weird. I also don’t really know my undertone. I think I’m warm… not too sure. I’ve also gone into ulta and we tried shade matching but had a hard time finding a shade that actually matched. Any shade recommendations? I’m looking into just purchasing different shades and hoping one ends up matching. I have dry skin, and looking for medium to full coverage.
Alright, I don't put on makeup that much but I'm just curious: what do you all think about those (incredibly unhinged) criticism that makeup receives from people? I've heard many times that the culture surrounding make-up has a pretty negative perception, like "women put on makeup because they're insecure" or the classic "because they want to please men". But when you actually open a makeup blog you can find, besides women, men, nonbinary folks, trans folks etc. and many makeup are also non-conventional. So what's your point on those criticisms? Which one you heard is incredibly unhinged and what makes actually sense?
My question comes at the intersection of makeup and kittens. I have always stored my makeup brushes in a open top glass canister in my vanity. Enter a snoopy playful kitten, Duchess.
I was out of town and my spouse told me Duchess was taking my makeup brushes and playing with them, leaving them strewn around the house.
I've invested a bit in some of these brushes. Does anyone have a recommended container for brushes that is completely encased? I had moved them to a drawer, but that isn't safe from her either.
The hard part is finding something that is secure, but accessible for brushes from 4 inches to 10 inches.
Any recommendations are welcome.
I think I received these, along with a few makeup up brushes a few years ago as a gift. I’m starting to get more into makeup now and for the life of me, I can’t remember what these little tools are supposed to be used for. Anyone have any idea?
I've lost my fav red Mac lipstick and I don't know what colour it was so I'm hoping (but not really expecting that) someone can help so I can try to replace it!
It's a lovely clear warm bright red which is unhelpful as they have lots but it was in a dark red metallic case which they don't seem to have anymore and might narrow it down to at least a range. It was purchased in 2020/21 in Australia. Thank you!
Hello all. I’m looking for some recommendations for a inexpensive matte drugstore setting spray. I currently use Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray but because of the price and currently being out of work right now I need to find a doupe for a much cheaper price.
Anyone have any they would recommend?
Thank you in advance 😁
I have this problem and I wanna know if it's because I don't search good enough or something like that. I wanted to buy that pretty luminescent eyeshadow in the shade Elephant but it looks like in all online store in europe there's no sight of it, besides their official UK website. Is tge shade being that well bought? Do they have to reformulate becahse of EU or something? I simkme cannot comprehend.
Hello everyone,
Every time I put makeup on, it separates within 2 hours of wear…it’s really frustrating because it makes my face look cakey even though I don’t put that much on. my routine is concealer under my eyes and around my nose, spot conceal pimples, and then powder. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
As a girl with small lid space this step is really necessary, but I only find it causes more trouble when it goes to the bottom part. It ruins the whole purpose and makes my eyes look small! I’m looking more for technique rather than product since I prefer grey eyeliner heavily, but if you have a suggestion please list!
I have an oily T zone and have been using Estee Lauder double wear foundation then setting it with a translucent powder.
The problem is i dislike how dry and powdery it looks!
Should I switch to a non matte foundation?
Try a setting spray instead of the translucent powder?
Hydrate with a moisturizer before applying the foundation and setting powder?
