does anyone know a drugstore dupe for this doe lash in the style bambi? i really like the style of this lash but $14.50 is way out of my budget 😥
Hi all! I have my first ever Bobbi brown colour corrector coming tomorrow to cover my really prominent genetic dark circles under my eyes. Just wanted to see if anyone had any concealer reccs that fit over this corrector nicely?
I also ordered the Huda corrector too, was planning to wear them together if possible but unsure that is a wise idea! I’m just a bit clueless.
searching for a waterproof colored mascara, preferably blue or purple but open to almost any colors. the only way my lashes will hold a curl is with waterproof mascara but i cannot seem to find any colored varieties — i did a google search but it just turned up ALL colored mascaras not specifically waterproof so im hoping yall will have some suggestions for me! thanks in advance!
I love this eyeliner so much and it’s discontinued!! I’ve tried to buy a new one from BeautyWest and they cancelled my order. Any leads or dupes for this eyeliner? I want a gel liner with a copper colored shimmer. Potted with brush is preferred, but anything close would be amazing! Thanks so much!
Hello everyone!
I missed out on the Meteorites craze from way back when but now I'm kind of eyeing them. Are they still great? Have they been surpassed? What is everyone's experience? Is there another blurring powder that you think is better / looks more natural?
I really don't want TOO much of a radiant look. I want to look glowy but naturally so, if that makes any sense. No disco-ball duochrome stuff (and I'm a little concerned from looking at the meteorites online that that's how they behave). My skin is dry but I take very good care of it so I don't need to worry about dryness PER SE.
What’s your HOLY GRAIL spot treatment ? Like when you pop your pimples/ do some extractions what’s the best product to put on after???
I was using dermalogicas age bright spot fader but its is now discontinued. A app that compares ingredients told me that TULA spot treatment was a “DUPE” but it definitely DOES NOT compare !!!! Dermalogica healed my inflamed /broken skin so quick like whole face clear In 2-3 days of use
As a POC, my lips are naturally:
I've always wanted to 'wear a different kind of lip color' than my regular lip, but any product with color looks extremely worse when I put it on. It looks like I'm a kid that put paint all over their mouth, and it simply highlights my wrinkles in a very weird way (as in naturally my lip wrinkles aren't even noticeable, but with the colored lip products, it gets highlighted).
I avoid Browns and Reds in my lip products because they highlight hyperpigemntation & roseca in my face, but then any shade that isn't brown or red simply looks 'off' on me. Putting concealer first also doesn't do anything for the wrinkly nature of my lips and still doesn't fix how 'off' the color looks layered on my lips.
So I am more of a natural makeup look.
I have combo skin but I tend to go a little towards normal/dry during the cold months.
I use Givenchy concealer and I use eye cream by eminence organics as my eye cream.
I set it with Bare Minerals powder.
What can I do to prevent the under eye from looking dry?
I am pretty sure the eyecream is hydrating.
Also just went on a walk and it is like in the 40s here and windy. Got back and my face feels more dry.
Maybe I shouldn’t set the concealer? I spot conceal and I don’t use foundation.
Face cream is Vanicream.
Any tips are highly appreciated.
Hey everyone! I constantly apply chapstick or gloss on my lips but I noticed no matter what my lips tend to go pale/blueish after just a bit of time. I am staying hydrated, my lips are on the pink side but when really moisturized they are a darker pink. I believe I would need a lip tint but I’m open to any suggestions!
Also to mention, I don’t really like using gloss because of the stickiness but use the elf lip pumping gloss because it’s one of the only things that have worked. Ideally anything that will make my lips smooth and darker, thank you :)
EDIT: I understand many ppl are concerned that it’s a health issue but I’ve gotten full work ups and my blood tested a lot the past few months, including a week ago and I have no issues with oxygen, anemia, and blood circulation. Everything is perfect on that end so I would greatly appreciate if people can just suggest something I can use for now. Thank you so much for everyone that has already suggested any products <3
Hi everyone! I've had this dry flakey skin around my nose for over a year now, recently it has migrated around the side of my mouth. Everytime I put concealer on it just settles into the cracks and looks worse then it does without it on. What products could I use to try to even out the makeup. I use [ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS 1 MAGIC TOUCH CONCEALER ] Before I put the concealer on I just started using SEPHORA soothing moisturizer green color corrector. Thanks 😊
For the past two years or so, I've been doing eyeliner using eyeshadow and an angle brush because I like the control the brush gives me, but I've been having issues because the eyeshadow always smudges after like 2 hours. Because of this, I've been thinking about getting a gel pot liner since I want an actual long-lasting eyeliner but with the control that comes with using a brush.
My main problem is no one really talks about gel pot liners so I don't really know the pros and cons, which ones are good, or if they're even a good solution to my problem.
So basically, my questions are:
i’ve been using the anastasia beverly hills brow pomade for over a year now and i really like it but i’ve been wanting to try out a new eyebrow pencil without breaking the bank. i used to use the basic elf eyebrow pencil but i’ve been looking for something different! any suggestions help!!
Apparently they don’t sell it anymore (at least not in my country) and I don’t know what to buy next. It workes wounders with my thin and short lashes. I loved the natural look. I really liked the small brush.
hi! i don’t live near a sephora so I don’t have the opportunity to test these in person, but skin tone is olive and i think i found my shade match in both of those ranges. but i’m wondering what formula is better. i have combination skin (oily nose and center of the cheeks, dry undereyes and sides of the nose, “normal” everything else) and i live in a very hot climate. i am looking for a concealer that i can use for spot concealing and for the undereyes that’s long lasting but not drying. do you guys have any experience with both the hourglass and the nars concealer? thanks!
Hi! Im late to the reddit party so pardon if im not doing this correctly. Im searching for a contoured brush to apply cream, liquid or powdered blushes. Previous ones werent satisfactory- they were firm but too dense which feels stiff. Prefer something firm yet soft that deposits color and blends smoothly. Already have Rare beauty's blush brush so hoping to hear any other brushes that worked for you. Thank yoü
So, a few of my friends/coworkers eavesdropped on me on my break and saw me looking on YesStyle for new make-up. They recommended me some brands that are popular in the Philippines and with their friends/family in China. After buying from a few of these brands over the past year, I read recently that a lot of brands (not just the ones they listed) have PFAs and large traces of heavy metals.
The brands I regularly buy include:
TD;DR, I don’t want to poison myself but I’m also poor, what are some affordable K/P/C/J-beauty products are known to be safe to use?
Hey guys! I have combination skin and my usual make up routine is very simple:
Sunscreen
Foundation
ABH dewy setting spray
ABH setting powder
But after 1-2 hours, my face looks super oily again, even the areas where I applied the setting powder.
What am I doing wrong? I dont mind some oil, but it doesnt look very aesthtical around my nose and forehead 😭
Hi guys my girlfriend is conducting a research on marketing of cosmetics brand on tiktok, if you are a social media manager for any cosmetics brand it would be very very helpful to contribute to some statistics that could set a foundation for newer marketing models.
Personally, I hate when people use TONS of bronzer (or too dark of a shade), and then they also pair it with a slick backed hair. You can SEE where the bronzer and the hairline do not go together, and sometimes yes it works, but other times it just looks super drastic because it isn't blended properly and the scalp is much lighter.
I have a dilema. Whenever I wear strip Lashes I have some sort of reaction to the glue the day after. The skin on my eyelids goes puffy and red and my eyes are super watery for days.
I have never had a reaction to the glue my lash tech uses when I have extensions and I also definitely don’t have a latex allergy.
If anyone has any ideas what it could be or any suggestions for glues I can try (I’m UK based) I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
I'm 14f and I need help I struggle what acne and I don't wear a lot of makeup I need advice on what Brown mascara is best I want one that will like keep the attention away from my acne and also just nice looking in good quality and won't give me an allergic reaction I'm going to a bigger city in a couple weeks so I'm gonna go to all the big makeup shops if there's any advice I'd love it and I'd say the budget is £40 max in the UK.
By this I mean like me adding eyeliner to my routine was a game changer for me. It really elevated my look even though it was just a little touch/add on. Or brown/burgundy lip liner made my look pop even more.
i haven’t touched mascara in years because it’s a sensory nightmare and i already have long dark lashes, but i’m interested again because my lashes tend to get my other makeup on them and look lighter. usually i clean them off with a bit of spit, but i always lose one or two and i kind of don’t want to do that. so what do you recommend? all i want is something that will make my lashes dark, not stick or tube or lengthen or any of that extra stuff
Has anyone used the L’Oreal Infallible 3- second setting mist and compared it to the One Size setting spray? L’Oreal says it’s transfer resistant and smudge resistant but I have not had that experience. Is One Size legit transfer and smudge resistant?
Hi :) Does anyone have a lipstick dupe for Romand‘s lip tint in the shade Bare grape? I really like the color but nowadays I prefer a solid lipstick instead of a lip tint. I haven’t been able to find a dupe yet. I would prefer a western brand as I they are more accessible for me, but asian brands are also ok. Thank your for your help! :)
Shade Deauville In Nars. What am I in Charlotte Tilbury?
I wear the shade deauville in the nars light reflecting foundation. What shade would I Be in the Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin foundation?
I’ve ordered shade 2N and 3N but wanted to hear from anyone who wears the same nars shade :)
I once found the goodapple foundation by kvd at Marshall's for $15 vs the sale price $40 in my shade. I fell in love with it but I do my makeup enough that I can't justify spending that much on a foundation . I am almost out of it. Is there anyone who knows a good dupe for the foundation with a lower price tag. I still am having a hard time finding the right foundation on me that gives me enough coverage without making my skin look dry and cakey except for this foundation. I currently use the shade light 004 which is also the only foundation I've found woth a perfect shade match to me.
I was obsessed with my moms Ripe Raisin lipstick by Clinique but it’s been discontinued for years. It was a beautiful berry brown nude color and was perfect. Does anyone have any idea as to similar shades?
hi y’all, i have some concerns about the tarte cosmetics tubing mascara, or just tubing mascara in general. i’ve been using it almost every day for the past 2-3 months, and i was wondering if it clogs up sinks? i feel like it’s reasonable to think that it can build up in the drain and clog, so should i start using a napkin to take it off instead? idk
Hi!
I have a Hourglass Trio Palette with Luminous Light (finishing powder), Luminous Flush (blush), Iridescent Strobe Light (highlighter).
From my research, finishing powder is at the very last step to blend in all your makeup? And highlight is to highlight certain area like the nose or the cheekbone. My questions are:
-Do you dust the finishing powder all over the face? Or just the cheek area with the blush and the contour?
-The highlight is very subtle and not super brightening so it does not show up vividly on my nose, think it is created for a more natural look, in this case, any tips on how do I optimize this shade? Under the eyes area? Layering it on top of blush/contour and not just cheek bone? On the forehead temple area as well?
I’m kind of new to makeup, thanks in advanced!
