I’ve seen 3x items I have previously bought from Peter Alexander at Target for 1/3 of the cost.
Do you think they are the same items?
Has anyone else noticed this?
I’ve been searching f
Recommendations wanted for statement costume jewellery - especially earrings - that don't tarnish, don't produce reactions and are colourful and bold.

Hello, as the title says, I'm a 4th year Textile Design student currently undertaking a Business Skills unit. Part of my primary research involves a survey - I originally intended it to be for brands to fill out, but none have gotten back to me!
So I'm changing things around to instead ask consumers their thoughts on sustainability, Australian-made products, and their experiences with purchasing fashion generally.
I thought it might be good to post here and see if anyone is interested! It will take about 10 minutes or less to fill out, and all results will be anonymous and purely for my assignment purposes. Drop me a DM and I can send the link through! Thanks
EDIT: since people have suggested dropping the link directly, please find it here. Thanks for your participation!!
Hi there! So I'm helping my friend look for a pair of jeans. She doesn't really wear anything but skinny jeans but she wants to venture into some nice relaxed straight or even wide leg jeans.
Any recommendations? She's around 5 ft tall as well so some alteration might be needed if theyre not cropped or for petites. She gyms and wants it to be more shaping, especially on the 🍑🤣. Oh and yes, shes looking into those as she is quad/thigh dominant from all the gymming she does haha
Would appreciate some reccos! ❤️
I have a pair of Levi Ribcage straight jeans which I love, except for the button fly. I find it adds unflattering bulk on me.
Can anyone reccomend similar jeans, but with a zip fly? Thanks!
Does anyone know this brand? Found it on the Iconic, currently with 30% discount: https://www.theiconic.com.au/piper-tan-tote-bag-2327933.html
ETA: what about Belle & Bloom? https://www.theiconic.com.au/twilight-leather-cross-body-bag-2020523.html
Basically the title. I work in an office and have a very masculine sense of dress. I don't think I've worn a skirt since puberty. I know that its acceptable to wear trainers, as long as they're clean, but I find that they make me feel like I'm not put together enough to be at work. I had a pair of loafers from Kmart that I quite liked, other than being super cheap and poorly made. They lasted me a few months and are now falling apart. https://www.kmart.com.au/product/shoe-saddle-chunky-loafers-s164476/ I'm still a teenager and getting used to having a job, and I'm worried about what is and isn't acceptable. I worry about some shoe styles being too close to school shoes (is toe roundness important??) and am unfamiliar with most brands, as I live in a rural area and was raised by a single father with little disposable income. I guess my price range would be up to about $200 if they're good shoes that will last a while. Loafers are probably the most feminine shoe I would consider wearing, however that also depends on the individual shoe.
i found a pair of earrings on lovisa that i liked, then found them on shein. the material/metal used is not listed in the description on lovisa's site. on shein, the earrings are listed as being made of lead alloy which is said to be dangerous. how are lovisa getting away with not disclosing such materials?
Hi Reddit, just wanted to share my experience with a small Melbourne-based business called Nineteenninety. I purchased a zip-up hoodie from them to support local businesses and because I liked the design. While I was aware it might be overpriced, I was happy to support their drop. However, the experience has been incredibly disappointing.
First, the product hasn't shipped, and there’s been virtually no communication. I’ve reached out via all their social media channels and emailed them multiple times, but I’ve barely received any responses. Their "social media manager," Bryce Lim, claims to only handle social media. Yet, he’s been posting about traveling to Japan to check out samples and new pieces. Meanwhile, orders aren’t being fulfilled.
If delays are due to the product being dropshipped from China, fine—but at least let customers know! Instead, there’s been no transparency, no updates, and no acknowledgement of the situation. On top of that, they’ve been deleting comments on TikTok, which makes it seem like they’re trying to hide these issues rather than address them.
It would honestly be faster for me to go to their address than wait any longer. This lack of professionalism is frustrating, and as of now, I still haven’t received the hoodie or any communication about its shipment.
Just writing this to warn others to be cautious when buying from this label. It’s been an unsatisfactory experience all around.
Hi everyone, I tried google searching the dress from this ad and came up with nothing close. Would anyone have any idea where it's from? (And no, it's not from the company she's advertising).
Hi there, I'd love some recommendations for short sleeved shirts that won't feel like they're choking me.
I live in the tropics and am in desperate need of some new short sleeve shirts with lower necklines. Most shirts I find these days have high crew necklines and they make me sweat so bad. Buttoned or not is fine. Nice lighter material is preferable. Where do you find such items? I've been surprisingly struggling to find things that tick these boxes. Thank you!!! ☺️
Anyone seen any actual short dresses around? I'm not talking micros, but I'm 5'2 on a good day and all the short dresses are going to my knee this season. I look like I'm cos-playing a tall person.
I'm glad the tall girlies are getting to have some length for a change, but I can't even hem most of the dresses due to the styles.
Hi all! I’ve been looking adding some higher quality pieces to my wardrobe, mainly focusing on nicer natural more breathable materials. However I still get some sticker price shock so have been looking out for sales and taking note of some of the brands held in high regard here and on similar subs.
One is Bassike and i am keen to get a new trench - I just wanted to see how people would assess the quality of a couple of pieces
Stretch Twill Trench Coat https://www.theiconic.com.au/stretch-twill-trench-coat-2315227.html
Cotton twill trench https://www.theiconic.com.au/cotton-twill-longerline-trench-coat-2244956.html
I would have thought cotton and the lined second coat would be the better option vs an unlined nylon option but why is the nylon one more exxy? Just wondering if I’m missing something! And which would be your preference and why? Thanks!
I am returning 2 pairs of swimwear to a smaller company from Nz to Australia, for a refund. I’m tracking the return parcel to see that delivery was attempted twice yesterday morning but was unsuccessful due to the addressee not available at the time. ( the store/warehouse should have been opened at this time) I have since sent an email to the company but am wondering what will happen now with the parcel and if there’s anything I can do on my side. I am slightly panicking as really need this refund and don’t want it shipped back to me. Any help much appreciated! :)
I saw a woman in a pair yesterday, and silly thing that I am, I didn't think to ask!
I've never seen them sold outside of online menswear, which would be fine, except I'm not sure what my size would be in men's or if the fit is significantly different to women's.
Anybody have a clue? Thanks!
I'm going to buy the Sony XM4 and I am debating between black or gray/silver colour.
My heart belongs to the gray/silver but my mind is saying be practical and get the black.
Is the gray/silver easily stained?
Posting this in AusFashion because I like the gray because of how stylish it looks!
I dye my hair black.
I work as a behaviour specialist/teacher at a school and they’re bringing out a dress code. Usually I’m very skirts, Birkenstocks, fun earrings etc and we’re changing to have mandatory PE teacher style polos as of next year. We must now wear active shoes.
I really enjoy dressing nicely and a lot of the times I’m meeting with parents, external providers, other key stakeholders and like to be well dressed.
How would you guys go about these polos? Just deal with it and wear them with work shorts and work pants or do I find a way to wear them in a midi skirt, or get some cute shorts, big earrings?
I’m lost. Theyre just so…. Teachery 😂
Hey I’m D I’m hosting a mob where people dress up as stormtroopers and do a mob at Bondi beach We will basically walk around and film If you think this sounds fun let me know and I’ll let you know more info
everywhere i go the shortest shorts i can find go to around mid thigh and are baggy in a sort of ugly way 😭 does anyone know where i can find short ones, either tan or denim or cargo literally anything, that fit nicely??
I’m in the market for a nice dressing gown/robe in a summer weight material (satin, bamboo etc).
I’m usually an AUS size 4-6 and short (155cm), so hoping to get something made for smaller sizes that won’t swim on me.
Has anyone seen anything on their travels?
Instant red flag imo
