I saw this dress on St Frock (and the exact same one on Vine Apparel…) and LOVE it but I am very worried about the quality as I’ve heard mixed reviews for both brands, and would prefer to avoid fast fashion if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations for dresses in this style (elastic top, long skirt, short sleeves, pockets are a bonus)? Thank you :)
I'm interested in their workwear, activewear or casual fits for the most part
👋🏼 do you have these sandals? Are they comfy?
I am wanting a work backpack for the daily commute. Finding it hard to find a professional yet practical bag. I am short so nothing too big otherwise I look like a little turtle. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone! :)

I placed an order for the Ruby Maxi Set (XS) on January 22nd with the expectation that it would be shipped on time (Their shipping, as compromised on their website takes approx 5-8 business days for Australia, today, marks the 9th day). In their own email, they assured me it would be sent out this week. Guess what? It’s now the end of the week, and my order is still stuck at “preparing shipment” on the Shop app. It has always been "preparing shipment" after I finished purchasing it. No tracking number, no update, nothing.
I made it crystal clear that I needed this dress before next week, since my event is literally next Friday and I NEED it urgently, (plus i need some extra time to tailor it and stuff...) and yet they have completely ignored that urgency. If a brand promises a shipping timeline, they should be able to stick to it. Otherwise, don’t make false promises to customers who are trusting you with their money!
At this point, if I don’t receive my dress by Wednesday next week, I will have no choice but to file a complaint and demand a forced return. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of accountability. A brand that cannot even communicate properly or keep up with basic shipping expectations does not deserve anyone’s business.
For anyone considering ordering from Emelia the Label—don’t. If my experience is anything to go by, you’ll be left in the dark wondering when (or if) you’ll ever get what you paid for. Terrible service, false promises, and zero respect for their customers.
Learn from my mistakes and don't fall into their loophole !!!
PS: I don't even know why i purchased ANYTHING from them at all, at the start, i just thought i needed a dress, saw this one and just bought it without checking or anything. They STEAL pictures from people's Instagrams, other ACTUAL brands such as House of CB, and post it as if it were their picture. THE AUDACITY!!!
And I should've just never trusted any fake HoCB replicas 😭
I keep hearing people say they want to move away from fast fashion—prioritising slow, quality fashion over cheap, mass-produced clothes. But then, new stats state that, Shein and Temu are dominating in Australia, and it feels like a complete contradiction.
Even more interesting (and kinda depressing), I’ve been reading that fashion brands and even Australian ones —especially ones that could offer affordable, stylish options with local returns—don’t even want to launch in Australia. They see it as a waste of time because the market is just obsessed with fast, cheap fashion.
And to make it worse, I came across this brutal take: “Australians are obsessed with Shein and Temu. Fashion brands shouldn’t even bother with Australia—people there won’t buy. They just want cheap, fast fashion, and they aren’t fashionable or concerned with quality.”
Ouch. But… is it wrong?
Honestly, I’d love to see more options here as I would love some more diverse fashion , and don’t even get me started on returns when you buy online from some of these cheap sites—it's like pulling teeth, juts had an experience with BabyBoo , I personally would love to see some more brands or local stores with more diverse fashion. Just a rant xxxx
Hello all,
I'm looking to purchase a bracelet for my girlfriend for Valentine's and am looking for recommendations. I'm based in Melbourne (ordering online is fine as well). My budget is around $200 - $350. She doesn't like anything too flashy and is into simple but sleek designs.
Thanks in advance!
PSA! Catch is clearing their stock as they close in a couple months. They have a few Coach bags that are currently 40% off, including this gorgeous green saddle bag: https://m.catch.com.au/product/coach-beat-glove-tanned-leather-saddle-bag-amazon-green-29815748?pid=29815748&sid=Coach%20amazon%20green&st=133&sp=1&oid=109980992
Am I looking for a unicorn? I’m sick of the strap tan lines haha.
In a moment of weakness I ordered for the first time from skims which is very unlike me. I typically stick to second hand and ethical brands, but I needed work out gear, and they had a 50% sale on.
I'm genuinely shocked at the quality of the products. It is no different to anything you can grab at Kmart for a fraction of the price.
The sizing is allover the place. I'm a 14 to 16 and measured, the XL track pants are absolutely swimming on me yet the XL bodysuit is more like a size 10 and I can't even do it up.
After one wash the top I bought has already colour faded.
Even at 50% off there is zero value for money. Don't make my mistake!
Is it just me or is ally fashion clothing designed for women with smaller chests? They often have a 'cup' design sewn into the dresses and shirts, and it never fits me, of course it could be my body, but the way the cup sits makes me think it's not designed to accommodate more than an A or B, which, there is nothing wrong with and I by no means have a large chest, personally I'm B or C depending on where I go. So is it meant to sit the way it does for a reason? Or is it design specifically that way?
Have you also noticed this ?
Hi all! I'm flying over to NZ next Wednesday for a wedding and am desperately seeking a wedding guest dress. I ordered a beautiful dress from Runaway the Label (I'll put a link/photo in the comments) but unfortunately, with warehouse delays, it won't arrive in time.
Does anyone have suggestions of where I could go to buy a wedding guest dress?
In terms of what I'm looking for:
Thank you so much for any help, I really appreciate it!
I’ve got slightly wider than usual but not exceptionally wide feet, but I also have super mega fugly ballet toes thanks to years of doing pointe (my toenails don’t really grow anymore and I’ve got a few light scars on the tops of my feet) but I cannot for the life of me find any sandals that don’t show them off 😂
I don’t mind them being visible, but would love something that maybe has other features/straps/buckles/whatever that might draw someone’s eye before they zero in on my toes.
My ugly toes and I thank you in advance 🤍
sorry if this is an inappropriate sub but are there any in-person jewellery stores that sell high-quality nose studs/ rings that look like these? Skin Kandy has always disappointed me though. or redirect me to more appropriate subs. tysm <3
Does anyone know if Veronica Maine is having a sale soon? I’ve fallen in love with one of their tops but can’t justify the full price ☹️
I’m 50 and the girls are not as perky as they once were. Recs for sports bras that help define shape and don’t squish into a ‘uniboob’ please? Don’t need super supportive as I don’t do much running or jumping etc. Cup C-D
Hi all, I need the zipper repaired/ replaced on a Coach bag, unfortunately it's a very unique colour,.it's basically fluro pink.
One place has told me they can't do it because of the colour. And a couple of others haven't responded to me. One wants $15 for a quote but I don't want to pay for a quote just to find out that they can't do it.
Do you have any suggestions for bag repair around Melbourne, at this point I'm happy to travel or even post it in if far away.
Thank you 🥰

Hi all, I generally have a relaxed kind of minimalist style. I love the shape of a tshirt, but am hunting for one that isn’t a tshirt. I want a fancier more formal option, maybe more structured, but in the shape of a tshirt, anyone seen anything? Thanks 😊
Any recs for orthotic friendly shoes aside from Frankie4 & Bared? I quite like both these brands but before I spend some serious dollars on new shoes I’d like to see what else is out there.
I need to be able to use my own orthotics in the shoes - unfortunately my arches are too high even for the inserts Frankie4 provides 🥹
Hi ladies,
Has anyone purchased a Stitch & Hide handbag before? I have a few Status Anxiety handbags and I’m wondering if the quality is comparable and if it’s worth the money. Thanks in advance.
I’ve got a wedding to go to in April, looove my dress but it has a lower back & i want to show off my boobs lol. I was looking at the bras that stick on to your sides but don’t know if there any good. So I’d love some opinions / experiences or even recs for a strapless bra that you can lower the back on.
Hi everyone!
I've just landed my first adult job (exciting but a little overwhelming!), and I need help building a business casual wardrobe on a budget. Right now, I'm unemployed and using my savings, so I’m looking for affordable options.
I’ll also be going on a week-long training trip to QLD, so I need hot-weather-friendly workwear. My usual style is the complete opposite of business casual—I live in denim/ fabric shorts, graphic tees, and black Converse. In winter, I’m all about oversized hoodies and skinny jeans. I’d love to dress better, but I have no clue where to start!
A few things I need help with:
Any recommendations would be so appreciated! Happy to provide body measurements if that helps too. Thanks! 😊
A beautiful pair of pants just arrived, but unfortunately, they don’t fit me! I’m usually a size 8 and have never had an issue with sizing before, but these Assembly pants are way too big.
Sadly, they were a final sale item, so I’m really frustrated! Has anyone else had a similar experience with this brand’s sizing?
I guess I’ve got myself a pair of pregnancy pants now! 😅
Good morning! I want a nice, current summer knitted vest - budget is AUD$200 or less, about 55-60cm long. If there's something that comes to mind, please let me know!
Also, what do you think of these ones?
