Not sure of time period so I may be in the wrong place. These were left by my grandfather who recently passed. I believe he purchased thinking he would restore them but never got around to it. Any advice on best way to sell if even worth anything? Thanks
Hi.
I just acquired this Frank Wesson pistol. As far as I can gather, there should be a shoulder stock for it. Are there any sites worth keeping an eye on if I want to get a stock for it?
I added a pic at the bottom of what seems to be one of these pistols with the stock installed.
Hi All,
I just inherited (to my best estimation) a Ward's western field 93m-491a. It's missing some parts, but it doesn't seem to be in the worst of shape (pictures attached). Is it worth taking to a gun smith to try and have it fixed up? Or is it better to just hang it on my wall as decoration? I would love to have it functional, but not if it would be more than a couple hundred bucks.
I have sent pics in to auction houses for identification but wanted to post them here as well. The words on the barrel are : GUSS, STAHL on the sides and on top are: D. BAUERNFEIND HEIDELBERG. I can see no other markings besides decorative designs but maybe I am not looking in the right place. I have added additional pictures for the communities help. Thanks
I don’t even know what this type of trust is called. It’s like the opposite of pitting. It is raised. Is it possible to remove this rust?
Recently, I was given a 1819 Harpers Ferry Musket and told to research. Does anyone know about these and can you tell from the pictures if there is any significant features? I am trying to build history on this particular one and assign some value to it based on what it is and condition. Thanks for any and all help!
My dad recently passed away and we’re trying to identify gems amongst the clutter. Any idea what this is?
