I think I lost an ID card in the cab. I just raised a complaint in the Abu Dhabi app but is there any way that I can get it back asap? How long does it take to hear from them?
I'm an international student here (22F), have been here for 4 years almost? I'm really sick of my university bubble and would love to meet people outside my circle.
I'm Muslim (not into the whole drinking/clubbing/smoking lifestyle), I like gaming (BG3, Zelda, Splatoon, Witcher 3 , plot-driven/indie games I'm not gonna name them all lol, trying to get into LoL), anime, animated media in general, reading (fantasy/history/politics), art, among other things. I'm a Biology student and really passionate about what I do :).
I love trying new food, generally study/work/coffee and sports hangouts.
I will say I'd prefer to meet other girls my age just to avoid creeps in my dms 😭.
Hello everyone,
I am new to Abu Dhabi city and looking for places where I can see reselling home appliances like fridge, washing machine, stove and home furnitures like bed, sofa, cupboard. Near Abu Dhabi city or Al zahiyah. Thanks for help.
Looking to Meet New People
Hey everyone!
We’re a newly married Egyptian couple living in Dubai, and we’re looking to meet new people from different cultures to share experiences, have fun, and make some social connections. Living in a big city can sometimes feel a bit isolating, so we thought—why not reach out and build a little community?
We’re open to all sorts of activities—whether it’s casual meetups, watching movies, cooking together (we can introduce you to some delicious Egyptian dishes!), or just hanging out and talking about life. We’d love to connect with like-minded people who are also looking for good company on weekends.
Hello everyone, my fiance and I are both residents in Qatar, We are both christians, Filipina (F) and British (M) couple. We are looking into getting married in Abu Dhabi as we've read the process seems to be a lot more straightforward and quicker rather than doing it in the UK or Philippines.
Is there anyway for us to confirm this or has any tourists experienced getting married in Abu Dhabi if so, what is the process? Thank you really appreciate your help.
Hello, I’m a 25 old Arab living and working in Abu Dhabi. I’m ambitious and always looking to improve myself, whether personally or professionally. Right now, I’m also working on improving my English skills. I believe that life is a continuous learning journey, and I enjoy exploring new places and trying different experiences that broaden my perspective.
I appreciate deep conversations and honest communication, as I believe that respect and understanding are the foundation of any successful relationship. I’m looking for a serious and genuine connection with someone who shares similar values and a positive outlook on life. Age is not a concern for me—what truly matters is mutual understanding and compatibility. My goal is to build a stable relationship based on trust, respect, and genuine support for each other’s aspirations.
Hey folks, Im in AD for a few days, mostly working but looking for nice cafes to work out of, restaurants, things to do/shop? Any recommendations?
Fellow Abu Dhabians, I have 10+ years old Mazda CX9 black color. I bought it new and have been servicing it regularly so mechanically it does not have any issues (touch the wood). But in these years the car collected several cosmetic imperfections with parking dings, the bumper become loose after small accident. I'm looking to repair these imperfections without any excessive paint work (better if can be avoided) so continue using this car but to maintain its decent look. Any recommended good auto body shop for that? Thank you
Looking for reccomendations for good buffets in AD. Hopefully within the hour? 🙈🙈🙈
Preferences for hotels with restaurants on the beach or have a place to keep kids engaged aswell!!
Thankyou!
Hi all,
I'll be moving to Abu Dhabi soon to start work. I'll work near the airport, I expect to stay nearby there as well. I'm looking for a tennis partner to hit (I'm a 4.0) ! or maybe friends to hang around! Excited to meet you all!
Im planning to travel to Abu Dhabi within the next couple of months and would love some tips and tricks regarding travel. I'll be coming from the US.
Some of the things I'm looking for information on •When is the best time to travel? Season? Are there any cultural things going on that I need to be aware of like Ramadan or anything like that? •What is the best airline to fly? •What are the best days to fly into the country? •What is the culture like? Strict? (I'm not trying to wind up in jail here 😅) •What are some of the best things to do / visit while I'm there?
Etc etc.
I've never traveled internationally so please give me all the tips and tricks.
Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well. I'm planning to send my Electronic Products from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi. I'm looking to transport my Monitor, My Speakers, Piano and Guitars. These are not new and are all things that I've been using.
Can any one advice me on the process because I have no idea.
Thank you in advance.
Hi , is there any free parking available near airport? Actually I have to come from Dubai to take flight from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait n return next day. Airport parking is too expensive for 24 hours of period so I m looking for a space where I can park my car free for 24 hours ,
Good evening. Need an urgent help. I just moved tonight to a partitioned apartment. Then the owner (not sure if owner or just a tenant who sublet it) wanted me to move to an opposite partition as someone rented it first yet not officially moves in. This is clearly a poor planning of the owner as he agreed to rent that space to me.
Now, the owner wanted me to move out now or til tomorrow morning or else he will drag my things outside the apartment. I told him if he touch my things I will call the police and I am asking him to give me some time to manage everything.
I know it’s illegal to sublet (as I am working in property management and knows stuff regarding the ADM and thawteeq stuff). This is what I can afford now. Please let me know your insight so I could move out in peace.
Anyone wanna meet up and hangout in galleria mall? All my friends are busy

Hi, I'm going to travel to Abu Dhabi for about two days in March. This is my first visit. I like art galleries and museums and traditional markets, but I'm not very interested in shopping malls. I like to experience culture. Do you have any places you can recommend in Abu Dhabi? And do you have any good tips? Tips like you can only use cash in some places! Thanks!
I am looking to rent a studio near Dusit Thani hotel. How do I go about this as it's my first time house hunting and Dubizzle hasn't been very useful.
Hi everyone,
My girlfriend and I have already purchased our tickets from Vancouver to Abu Dhabi with Turkish Airlines. We’ve been trying to make reservations to bring our cats with us, but we’ve encountered a lot of issues.
We called the call center more than 10 times, and every agent gave us different information. Eventually, one agent helped us submit the request. However, during our follow-up calls, we were told that our request had been rejected. No one could give us a clear explanation why.
Some agents said our request was rejected because there were already pets booked on the flight, while others checked and found no pet reservations at all. Another agent told us that we needed to email Turkish Airlines first before they could process the request.
Our cats are extremely important to us, and we have tried everything possible to bring them with us. Has anyone else faced a similar situation with Turkish Airlines? How can we secure a pet reservation to ensure that our pets can fly with us? Any advice on what we can do next would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Since moving to Abu Dhabi I’ve been contemplating the idea of a book club but not just any book club, one where the members meet to discuss ideas, philosophies and connect over the love for knowledge.
I’m now keen on starting this book club and hoping it will be a community that will grow into something meaningful in each of our lives. If you’re a reader, (or want to read more) and you’re into classic literature, Russian literature, Japanese literature, authors like Steinbeck, Murakami, Orwell, Kafka and many more. Drop me a dm!
Been looking for a 1BHK to buy in Reem Island for 2 months now. Budget is around 900K cash. What do you guys think about Marina Square, the prices there are not as high as other towers but I read that the community and facilities are not the best.
I'm relatively new to the city and want to find mosques that align with how I like to pray (1 chapter, 8 rakaas)
For those who enjoy praying taraweeh, what are your favorite mosques to pray at? Also how do they pray (# rakaas and amount of Quran covered per day)?
Also please share if there are specificities..aka they start late or have amazing reciters or doaa etc..

I’m looking to hire a couple of developers (typescript with some experience in interacting with browser wallets like Phantom and Solana chain + has experience with contributing to open source projects).
I want to hire them on a freelance basis, where do you recommend is the best place to advertise for it?
I’m new to Abu Dhabi and ideally they’d be based here or close by so we can meet often to discuss.
Hey everyone,
I used to live in the UAE, but I can't go back since my Emirates ID got canceled. However, my bank account is still active, and I'm looking for ways to invest my money in the UAE remotely.
Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any good investment opportunities (stocks, real estate, startups, etc.) that I can manage online without being physically present? Also, are there any legal restrictions I should be aware of?
Would appreciate any insights or advice! Thanks in advance.
In October/November 2024, the company | work for applied for an employment visa for me through a freezone in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, it was initially rejected, so they applied for an appeal for reconsideration.
Fast forward to January 2025: I needed to attend some meetings, so l applied for a Dubai visit visa on January 13, 2025, and it was approved instantly. I booked my flight and accommodations, and everything was going smoothly until Thursday, when the freezone informed me that my employment visa in Abu Dhabi was accepted and activated on January 17, 2025. However, they only told me about this at the end of January.
The issue is that when I check the ICP system, only my Dubai visit visa appears, not the Abu Dhabi employment visa. I have tried contacting Amer and other UAE immigration authorities, but no one has been able to confirm whether canceling one visa will leave the other valid.
I'm traveling in 10 days, with my flight landing at Abu Dhabi Airport, and I'm worried about potential issues at immigration. What if having two active visas causes problems, such as being denied entry or banned from the UAE? On top of that, the company is in the process of securing residency for me once I get there .
I'm unsure what to do because canceling one visa might risk canceling the other, or it might trigger complications, I don't want to take any risks with this situation.
Could you advise on what steps I should take to resolve this and ensure smooth entry into the UAE?
Say hypothetically if i have millions to spend, how can I acquire a 3 digit or 2 digit fancy number ? Or say XXX XXXX XXXXX Number plates?
I mean without going through auctions like emirates auction. Is there any shop or website selling fancy number plates ?
I scoured this sub for answers but didn't find anything useful. How is the public transport system now since I'll be coming for work soon?
Hello everyone, I’m new here in ahu dhabi and I was invited for a Spa Receptionist training at Japanese Sports Centre, Fairmont Hotel. Is the place legit or safe?. I got curious about what kind of spa they are offering and I can’t seem to find it on google. Thank you very much.
