For the affluent Qataris and businessmen out there: imagine this, in all of Qatar, there isn’t a single 24/7 study zone/coffee shop/cafe with a work-friendly environment
This is your chance to seize an untapped opportunity
The ROI is practically guaranteed and gonna be worth it, even without marketing efforts, word of mouth will spread naturally because I’ll be telling everyone about it just make it happen lol
I have noticed this in the middle east that men and women alike leave a perfume trail. Which smells sooo good. I want to smell like that. Maybe in too poor for it. But go ahead throw it at me. How to smell so fresh and good always. How to use the perfumes/attar/bakhoor or how to use it so that it lasts the whole day. Product suggestions. How to guides. Where to get them. How to find the right note. Go ahead and please help me out. I just cant stop smelling these arabs 😝

I have a friend, whose father is very toxic. After years of mental abuse during her university, he has now told her she can’t go to work. Same for her mom. He has threatened to cancel their QIDs if they go to work. They pay for themselves. Bought their own cars, take care of the house needs. The father is only restricts them from things again and again.
My question is, if the father decides to cancel their QIDs and my friend and her mom decide to stay still, do they get fined or the sponsor?
I feel like it is sponsor’s responsibility to make sure that his family’s/employees’ QID are valid.
Can anyone give me a definitive answer on this?

I happen to have vouchers for free delivery on snoonu which gets applied every time i select it. But as soon as i get ready to pay it adds the delivery fee out of nowhere. This has happened multiple times. At first i thought the voucher isn’t applicable for this particular place, but i soon realized that it gets applied and it shows delivery free for that particular order and surprises me after payment that they’ve deducted delivery fee as well. Let me know if this has happened to anyone else & how to complain about it?
A couple of my colleagues want to go for a night camp excursion somewhere along the sea coast.
Any recommendation for a permissable place/beach with water/washroom nearby where we can camp?
Hello, anyone knows a bar which streams euroleague basketball games?
Hi everyone. Can someone please recommend a good football academy for my kids. They are teenagers and I would like to enroll them in an academy with a good coach who can give individualised attention or proper training.
Except for playing at home, they have no prior experience of playing football. Someone at office referred Al-sadd academy but that place is over loaded and I doubt the coaches would have time to worry too much individually.

Hi everyone. I’m applying for my immigration overseas and need a police clearance certificate for Qatar as I lived there from 2011 to 2022. Since I’m overseas, what’s the best and fastest way to get the certificate? I tried to do it through the Metrash2 app but I can’t login as I don’t have a Qatar mobile number and my QID has expired.
I have a clearance certificate for the years I lived in Qatar but because the certificate only has a validity of 6 months, it has already expired. And I don’t want to waste time if I’m asked to submit a valid one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance xx
Hello people I want to to do an online masters at a well known university world wide, but I am not sure if it will be credible here cuz I work at a government sector
Hey, so I wanted to come visit my family in Qatar for Christmas/new year this month so was reapplying for my Hayya.
However, Ive gotten a new passport since I last entered Qatar (January 2024, got my new one in April) I noticed that i can't update the passport number when reapplying.
Is there something specific I need to do or do I have to open a completely new account with a different email?
I just bought a 2008 Land Cruiser GXR about a month ago and just discovered that the odometer was rolled back. Is there any way to report the seller, or is it too late?
I met a guy wearing exactly the kind of Jilbab I was looking for. I asked him and he told me he got it from Saudi Arabia... Like for real there's got to be someone selling them here?
Wearing a jacket on top of the Jilbab is doing the trick so far but I feel like a hobo.
Hi all,
I'm a law graduate with experience in litigation in India. I'm looking to move to Qatar and i was wondering if anyone could help me with getting an internship at a law firm or at any corporate offices, to understand how the legal system in qatar works. I'd be greatful if anybody could help me in someway. Thank you.
Dear All,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am reaching out to share my professional journey and the challenges I have faced along the way.
In 2019, I graduated with a Master's degree in Physics of Condensed Materials. Since then, I have been striving to establish my career in research and development (R&D). However, most opportunities in this domain require 5–6 years of experience, creating a significant barrier for entry-level professionals like me.
As a result, I pivoted to teaching, working in both high schools and middle schools. While this role was fulfilling initially, I eventually sought a change and moved to Qatar in 2022 in search of better opportunities. Unfortunately. The only position I could secure was as a parking supervisor, where I faced significant challenges, including instances of workplace discrimination. Despite these obstacles, I worked diligently, using the income to pay off my debts.
Once I cleared my financial obligations, the company lost its project, leaving me unemployed. For the past three months, I have been actively seeking opportunities, applying for various positions, and even completing professional development courses in customer service, feasibility studies, and more. However, I have noticed that many job opportunities seem inaccessible, and the lack of responses to my applications has been disheartening.
I am now at a crossroads, unsure of how to move forward. Despite my efforts and willingness to start at entry-level positions, I feel stuck and disheartened.
If you have any advice, insights, or opportunities to share, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
I need to vent because this situation is driving me crazy.
I applied for a position at QR, and after months of effort, I made it through everything. I completed the interviews, the assessments, and the endless waiting. My application status finally changed to “Offer in Progress,” and I couldn’t have been more excited. I’ve been dreaming of returning to QR for so long, and it finally felt like all my hard work was paying off.
Then, out of nowhere, I got an email saying I had withdrawn my application. I was absolutely stunned. QR’s system makes it impossible to withdraw accidentally because you need to go through two steps and provide a reason. This was not a mistake on my part.
I went from excitement to shock and pure anger. In my frustration, I actually broke my device when I saw that email. Fixing it cost me 500 QAR, which just added to the stress of this whole situation. I immediately contacted the coordinator, who said they would check and get back to me. But it has been weeks now, and I have not heard a single update.
I do not know if this was a system glitch, a recruiter error, or just bad luck, but it feels like everything is falling apart. I was so close to starting a new chapter in my life. I have not received a rejection letter yet, so part of me is still holding onto hope. At the same time, the uncertainty is exhausting.
If there is one thing this experience has taught me, it is that life can be cruelly unpredictable. You can put in all the effort and get so close, only for things to unravel at the last minute. I have learned not to celebrate too early, even when it feels like the finish line is right there.
I decided to share this here because it is about more than just my career. It is about life, challenges, and how we deal with setbacks. Has anyone else been through something similar? Is there still hope, or should I start letting go?
P.S. I’m already based in Qatar,
Honestly, life feels so overwhelming right now, and I’m not sure if things will get better eventually. If anyone has some words of motivation or inspiration to share, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance.
Any idea how long does it take to get the approval?
Last thing I did was filling the QCB Sandbox agreement and I haven’t heard from them since.
Hello i have question in concern of hayya visa if anyone can help me. What the difference between the two visa mentioned before because they got the same fees, same timestay in doha. And can i get a multiple entry with hayya visa Thank you in advance.
I lent a big amount of money (450k) to a friend without contract ( yes I know I’m stupid )
All I have is bank transaction and WhatsApp conversation.
WHAT CAN I DO TO GET IT BACK? 🫣
Can I do anything without a written agreement?
Hi! There will be upcoming application for these companies for positions. I have an engineering background and I have a decade of experience. Which is better in terms of company overall quality?
I got my license in 2015 and I have been driving around Qatar ever since.Recently I have shifted to a location where Metro stands superior in terms of accessibility & travel time. However I have a major concern and it’s that why do a lot of people stink early morning ? I had to get up from my place multiples times because I could not bare the smell anymore.
Is it so hard to wash your clothes ? Is it so hard to apply a 8-10QR deodorant which usually lasts a month or use a soap maybe ?
The fact that some ( Men ) who stand at the women( Family) part section at metro is outrageous.
I had to fight an indian dude to move him out of there and he is saying he has the right to stand where ever he wants.
I’m not targeting anyone but the least as an expat you should respect the rules not act as you own them 😂😅
Good morning guys/girls,
I've been offered a better job at another entity that does not conflict with my current job (different projects).
I'm just thinking ahead here and need some advice regarding who to contact at the ministry of labor in order to (if needed) guarantee the signature of my NOC to move companies. (Please note that this is worst case scenario if they want to play hard ball with me so I don't get a better job).
I know it is no longer required to have an NOC to shift jobs, but unfortunately some companies do require it and it is still a thing to change your QID credentials.
Would very much appreciate your input and guidance on this as I need to know what my rights are as an expat in Qatar.
Many many thanks in advance!
