Hi everyone! Could I please get some help on the questions below?
the draw phase being only 2 cards (unless I’m missing something) makes the game drag too much. My wife and I agreed to house rule this and always draw up to 7 cards after the taxation + plot phases end. Does this have game breaking potential in the long run or is it fine? We found that the game picked up much more after doing that
the wall - is it allowed to stack 3 walls for NW? I just find it quite broken that I can have 3 walls and defend everything with all the spammable characters that the NW has and essentially get free 6 power at the end of the challenge phase. Am I missing something there as well?
cersei lions of casterly rock version - does she get power whenever a card is discarded (including the deck) or only from the player’s hand? There’s unclear info about this
Thanks a lot!
I'm talking about the 2nd edition.
Also, how's the game at 2 players? BGG says it's best at 2, would you agree?
Hi, so basically the title spills my dilemma. I have only 3x core (and a friend of mine also owns 3x core) and we would like to add some more variety and deckbuilding options to our decks. But we don't want to chase the oop FFG packs, but get the readily available fan made expansions.
Is it a good idea? I'm under the impression that they were designed with a larger FFG collection in mind.
What would you advise us getting?
Hi everyone, looking to join the GoT lcg ranks :) I bought the core set in 2017 and haven’t played since, but I would like to restart. Could anyone provide a quick summary on what I should buy, and what I can get away with not getting?
If possible, I would like to avoid buying 2 extra core sets and focus on deluxe expansions, 4-5 intro decks (maybe the 3 world championship decks as well) and some chapter packs. I saw the intro decks have a bunch of copies of kingsroad, rose road and milk of the poppy which I understood to be the staples of the core set and the main reason to own 3. Could this be a good way to start playing (casually and from a card collecting perspective)?
Thanks a lot!
For players in the US, where are you having the fan-made content professionally printed?
Hey there! I was wondering, and trying to find an answer for it, if there is, or there will be a printable version of the game?
I saw Fantasy Flight Games that are interesting, mainly their lcg games, but buying them all would be pricey, so I was wondering what should I do? If there are sets that are no longer available to purchase will them ba available as printable versions in the future?
Thank you for the help!
Title
I was in a pretty bad financial situation during the last cycle and when the game was ended. I’m now in a position to be able to try and track down what I missed because I would like to have a complete copy of the game just to keep around for playing casually.
These three I have been unable to find in stock anywhere that ships to the United States.
If anyone has these available or knows somewhere they can find them and ship to me, it would be most appreciated
Hey folks-
I've been playing and collecting FFG games for many years. I exclusively play Star Wars Unlimited these days so it's time to purge older titles. A few preliminary disclaimers/caveats/comments:
I am not looking to maximize value. If you are willing to pick up one (or more!) collections, reasonable offers will be accepted. In my ideal world, someone will offer me ~2-3k for everything. But I realize that's a longshot. These games gave me an incalculable amount of joy; I hope they can do the same for someone else.
Please speak up if you have any questions.
A Game of Thrones: The Card Game (Second Edition)
I played this game extensively for its entire lifetime. I had a Team Covenant subscription for two of every item. So I have two complete playsets (yes, that means six Core sets). Everything is stored in UltraPro binders. I attended many competitive events so have a metric ton of promos, alt arts, playmats, OP tokens, etc. I have all the starter decks, a couple sets of deluxe power tokens and metal coins in addition to 20-25 (?) Faceless Man coins (~$10-12 ea). I believe I have a playmat for every faction, including the 2016 Store Championship winner Ned mat. There's probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting too.
Legend of the Five Rings
After Thrones died, I played L5R until it was killed. I have a complete playset stored in card boxes (one per faction) and sleeved in Dragon Shield Matte sleeves (included). Exceptions are the Fu Leng box and the last cycle which are sealed. Also included are the four official hardcover novellas along with their corresponding promo cards. Once again, I have many playmats, promos, and various OP items. I have the lovely official 2-player mat and my personal favorite (unofficial) Borderlands Defender mat (Crab4lyfe). I will also include beautiful Luxury Playstyle rings, fate tokens, and honor tokens. These alone are worth quite a bit.
Marvel Champions
Like Thrones, I've had a Team Covenant subscription since this game hit the market. I played it a ton for its first couple years but haven't touched it in ages. But the TC subscription is still active. So I have everything that is currently released. The base game and first wave or two are stored in a black Tesseract box with an Ironman helmet decal, organized with Tesseract tabs. The rest is sealed. I have the base game promos, official multiplayer mat, the early Team Covenant tokens and card trays, and a set (maybe 2 sets?) of Burger tokens.
Keyforge
I played Keyforge until FFG killed it. According to the KeyForge Master Vault, I have 82 Legacy (pre-Ghost Galaxy) decks though I may have missed inputting a few. They span all FFG releases (including at least one box of Worlds Collide and Dark Tidings). I have one Four Horseman deck. Included are the official 2-player playmat and at least one more (maybe two more?) playmats I picked up along the way. I'll also include the Burger tokens, deck boxes, and (high quality) card quiver I used to travel to events with.
I need

I always thought Game of Thrones LCG 2nd edition had some of my most favourite mechanics but I got into it way too late. Do you think the major mechanics of this game could ever be remade with a different IP in mind or be made using it's own fictional world?
Just a thought really.
I’m looking for a spare 2.0 ‘Motley‘ single if anyone has one. I’m willing to pay a premium for this card.
Looking to buy Pit of Snakes and The Blackwater from the last cycle and Dragons of the East expansions. Bonus points for The Things we do for Love.
Stopped buying these right at the end of its life and regretted it.
Hi! Where’s a good place to find players? I live in Portland OR. Thanks!
Hi there, I'm looking for high res proxies of AGoT cards. Does anyone some tips on where to find something like this? Thanks for the help!
Hello!
Does anybody know the total number of cards in a complete collection?
Looking for expansions, cards in English, located in Germany
Hello,
if you are looking to sell your complete collection or know someone who does, please let me know. I am based in Germany, looking to get a full set. Thank you for any offers!
Now let me first say I only played with two of the core sets, so I'm curious how well the expansions will add to the game given I'm already not very sold on it.
I'm open to buying a couple if anyone thinks these can turn the game around for me, or if anyone has had similar experiences I'd be curious to know.
There's very little variety coming out of the core set. I'm just doing the same things over and over again with very little difference happening.
I appreciate some bits of it though. The challenge phase is interesting. Some cards are useful. But that's about it.
With game being more and more scarce, i an wondering if there's a source for high DPI images of cards to make some good quality proxies.
I used to play 1st edition regularly. By the time I bought the 2nd edition core box, all my gaming friends had moved away!
Found a site where you can play against each other online, and I’m wondering if anyone (or even multiple people perchance) would be willing to join me in a little friendly tournament?
Starting off with core box only and picking a single faction each, then kinda building from there with the House-specific expansions etc.
It is such a brilliant game and I would love to find someone who, like me, is willing to have some fun friendly games online “from square one”…
We can set it up via DMs if necessary. I’m in the UK but also a night owl so time zones aren’t a big issue.
Basically just want an opponent who enjoys going back to basics and, unlike the players on IronThrone, doesn’t just spam crazy tournament synergy decks (or rage at me when I start a game with the humble “can we play Core Box only decks to start with?”) request!
Hey GoTLCG community. I've recently set up a podcast with a friend called Twenty Minute Tabletop which is all about board gaming.
This week, I've spent a lot of time editing and working on our podcast themed around 'when games die', so would be really pleased if one or two of you took the time to have a listen. It covers GoT and some others. Would be keen to hear your thoughts.
Anyways, this is just a hobby for me so I get nothing from sharing this apart from the fact that a few hours editing might get the odd listen! I hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you do. If you don't enjoy it, well, you can keep that to yourself 😂

Once I've purchased and enjoyed the eight starter decks, the deluxe expansions, and 3 core sets, what deck or decks do you recommend that could be fun? I'm primarily interested in strategies and playstyles that do not repeat those of the starter decks. The idea would be to buy only the packs necessary to build those decks. Thank you very much in advance.
Anyone interested In a complete 2nd edition set, nearly unplayed, all cards stored in card boxes.
Hey there! I'm looking for the Kings of the Isles and Dragons of the East expansions. I know it's a long shot, but definitely interested to buy
Hello! I'm basically looking for english versions of Dragons of the East and Kings of the Isles. Any help will be greatly appreciated
It's one of those questions I should have asked but never did. I bought a complete collection and when it showed up at my door it's in a bunch of white long boxes and 90% of the card packs are in the shrink wrap and 10% are just loose and not sorted. I don't even know where or how to begin to look at these cards and figure out how best to sort organize them. I know there's tiny icons at the bottom of the cards but not sure what maps to what.
How would you recommend I attack this?
I also got all 8 "intro" decks and they are still in their clamshells. Should I keep them together when I store them or should I break them out and sort with the other cards?
Thanks in advance for the help!!
Hi all! I've been following the game from a distance a long while, couldn't find a play group that would play for fun on the kitchen table... (there was only a small competitive scene where I live). I still think the game looks great, it's thematically spot on and has great mechanics.
I have the opportunity to get all 8 intro decks.
Do you think playing these decks against each other casually would make for a fun board game of sorts?
