Hey everyone ! I go to Laurier as well, Waterloo campus. Iāve been trying to make friends here on res and itās been challenging to say the least. Hello all,
I go to a private school (de-semestered) in Ontario with low(er) inflation, and my marks to be submitted to OUAC are as follows: Calc 86, Adv Functions 89, English 91, IB 93, Data (Summer) 95, and Law 98 = Average of approx. 92
I heard that Laurier makes a decision 2-4 weeks after getting February marks, so I was wondering if it's possible at all for me to get an offer late February. I'm nervous because Ive heard of people being rejected with my marks, so some peace of mind in February would be nice :)
Thanks!
Hey everyone, I am looking to take some light courses in the spring term to help boost my GPA. Does anyone have any recommendations for bird courses at Laurier? Preferably ones that are not too heavy on assignments or exams?
Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!

It was light writing but looking back at the answer keyā¦ Iām genuinely curious how everyone did
Thereās a midterm on February 12th, is that enough time to study fourish topics? It feels like I know nothing, Iām overwhelmed and stressed
Hey guys! I'm holding a donation/raffle drive in the next month or so and need ideas for a prize. Every donation of $5 will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win.
What would be a good prize idea?
I'm in second year BBA but want to minor in economics, I have already finished EC-229(Economics of China) and am currently in EC-260(Micro 2) but will need to complete 2 more courses after those. If anyone has any experience with any other second-year economics courses I would love to hear it.

I have an extreme fever and can get doctors notes. Would this be possible?
Can somebody share their resume template that helped them get a part time job in the uni, I have no past experiences but I was leader of some clubs and events back in my home country.
Planning on minoring in history. When I look on the Laurier website, the only requirements that it shows is a total of 6 credits, 4 at the senior level, and 2 are recommended to be Canadian history. Are there no specific courses that are required to obtain a history minor? That would be great if you can take pretty much any courses, just found it odd since the major/minor requirements for other programs that I have looked at always have at least one specific course you have to take.
Side note, if this is the case and you can take any courses for this minor, does anyone know if taking courses at UW through the cross-registration would be valid credits towards a minor? TYIA, wanted to save myself going in to arts advising if possible.
Do we have screenings like this, trying to make friends with similar interests
Midterm coming up, upper years how do i do well? Very scared rn
How hard is the course online for bu111 as im retaking it and aiming for a higher grade?
I need help with a petition. I had an A+ in a BU288 from last term but couldnāt write the final as I was sick and submitted a deferral. My deferral got denied and I now have an F on my transcript. I wanted to ask if itās still possible to submit a late withdrawal petition for the course? I really donāt want an F on my transcript and the school will not let me take a deferred exam.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Anyone has today's lab questions ? If so please do share
Hi, I graduated highschool last year short of two credits that I completed through OVS. I will be getting my OSSD hopefully in another 3-4 weeks. Can I still apply for Fall 2025 Admission? I'm hoping for Laurier Brantford Policing combo BA. I have an honestly low "65" english grade. Any help would be appreciated I have no one I can ask

Hey everyone!
I'm coming to Laurier from QuƩbec and was wondering if there are any other French-speaking students around.
Are there any student groups, meetups, or places on campus where French speakers tend to hang out? Would love to hear from you!
Thanks in advance!
I have my EC140 Midterm this Saturday and wonāt be able to make it due to sickness. Was wondering if all I have to do is fill out the reason as ācouldnāt come due to extreme sicknessā on the missed midterm thing under the quizzes tab, and if I should do it day before or day of?
Is it just me or did they decide to put all midterms before reading week? Am I supposed to attend the lecture that is 1 hour before my midterm? '-'
Have any of you gotten your podcast proposal approved yet? Its due in about a week can i start without approval?
I recently got accepted into the BBA and Fin math dual degree program and I wanted to know if it is better to accept that over the BBA. With the BBA I feel like I could have a higher GPA but then again the Fin math one has guaranteed co-op and itās overall a more prestigious program. Any thought?
Hello everyone, so I have been at laurier brantford for quite a while now, and am starting to feel like the campus is quiet and lacking in energy. im not sure if its just me or if others are feeling the same way about that campus.
I am also planning to transfer to the waterloo campus and wondering if things are different there. has anyone ever transferred from brantford to waterloo? how did you find the campus and your overall experience?
Has anyone found ways to make things feel a bit more lively or connected at brantford? as someone with a long commute, i am curious about how can i get easily involved or make the most of my time there before transferring. any tips?
