Hi! Going with my boyfriend to Sleepy Hollow for the first time on Saturday Oct 26. Out of these three, which would you recommend?
thanks!
Hi all! I recently purchased a dress at Goodwill that is about a size too small. Does anyone have any recommendations for a tailor that would be able to help with this? (The dress is long, so there’s lots of extra fabric at play.) Preferably on the lower budget side ($-$$) anywhere in lower Westchester! (New Rochelle, Pelham, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye, etc)
Thank you!
Just wanna get in the Halloween spirit🎃 The only thing I know is before Ridgehill was built, there was a bunch of Native Americans buried on that land (which I know sounds ridiculous and I don’t know if I believe it) and I know about son of Sam.
Anyone have a handyman recommendation for Southern Westchester? Looking at doing a basement reno and regrouting my kitchen tiles.
I moved to mid/upper Westchester a few years ago from Southern California where there was a pretty thriving music scene. I constantly went to DIY shows, played in bands, and almost every mid-sized band would play the venues nearby.
As far as DIY shows (pop punk, punk, emo, etc.) I don’t think I’ve seen much of any. There’s a few bars where there’s shows but the music is just not what I’m into (kind of like dad rock or cover bands) and there’s like at most 7 people in the room. As far as medium sized artists, their tour always stops in Brooklyn or deeper in Long Island. Which is just a pain to get to, I don’t wanna drive or do a multi stop public transit for 2 hours at midnight after a show.
I really love it here otherwise. It’s a lovely area but my only complaint is the music scene. Am I missing something or is this just how it is?
I went to a festival today and boy did they not make us feel welcomed.
They knew we weren't from there I'm guessing.
No one talked to us or my 14 month old.
We wound up leaving because my toddler is very friendly and I just couldn't stand there and allow people to snatch their kids away from mine.
For more context:
My 14 month old was approaching other families with their babies and he was ignored.
They also would grab their children and pull away when my toddler offered the other children pumpkins or hay. The hay was for the petting zoo and the pumpkins were just decorations.
My toddler is very social and he kept looking up at me with confusion every time the PARENT would take the kid away.
Did this a while ago.
Sorry, this is probably a bit of a weird question. I recently received a new cartridge for my Neo Geo MVS Arcade Cabinet and I'm having terrible audio and video corruption. The cart will load but its unplayable. After several long testing sessions with the developer's help he believes its an electrical issue on my motherboard/daughterboard. He asked me to test the cartridge in another Neo Geo arcade cabinet as a last step to rule out the cart as being faulty.
Ergo my question. Any members own, or know someone who owns a Neo Geo arcade willing to let me try this cartridge in their arcade?
Greetings all- Another school year upon us...
I teach either in your home (depending on distance from Tarrytown train station) or at my studio on Route 9 in Irvington. You can visit it here- www.cosmicdebrisstudios.com
All ages welcome. I'm awesome with kids. Loads of references if desired...
We can discuss group drumming/drum circles too (there's 5 drum sets in the room)...

Any questions- write me thru the site or at dave991@gmail.com...
Thanks!

Moved here recently, where are some good social groups, activities, or places to meet single people (women) in the area? Late 20s early 30s.
I already go to the gym in white plains regularly, and have made some men/women friends. But looking for other places. Like paint nights, or even just a location where people gather besides randomly going into town and meandering around.
Or a website that lists stuff like this?
Seems odd that X20 closed so quietly after many years of success and always landing on “best of” lists. Anyone have insight ? I know Peter Kelly closed his other spot which had an even longer tenure not that long ago too. But I thought Mayors comments about a “5 star seafood restaurant” moving in by summer 2025 was interesting- made me think perhaps a lease agreement issue
I have two little kids that we'd like to send to an outdoors educational program, like a forest school or something similar where they're learning in nature. Are there any programs like that in the area? Thanks!
wtf goin on in rye☠️
Hi does anyone work in a staffing office like manpower, loughlin personnel, madison staffing or any other similar recruiting office to help people find jobs. I know these agencies post jobs but I am looking to work in one of these offices as admin assistant/ office receptionist. How can i get job here or does anyone have any resources or recommendations of what I should do
Does anyone know or have any idea? Specifically for Westchester obvi
Ideally in the White Plains area, but anywhere works!
I have a guest visiting who loves cars. I remember a big car show in Putnam Valley up by Pawling a few years back this time of year.
Anybody know of anything happening?
Anyone been here? How are the food n drinks?
Hi all - I moved to the river towns somewhat recently and was looking for people to jam with. I just set up my electric drums so that I can play in headphones with other people, but all my music friends are still in the city. Any good forums or places to meet up with others looking to play around? Not trying to start a band necessarily, more like grab a few hours randomly in the morning to jam on a non-busy work day while the kids are at daycare. Thanks!
Hello! We are currently fostering Casper and are looking for his forever home. We are based in Brooklyn, NY but are willing to drive him anywhere on the east coast to find him the perfect home.
I’m posting here because Casper would do best with a fenced in yard and a quieter area. Casper LOVES people, anyone he meets is his instant BFF. He’s a go with the flow cuddle bug and his fav thing to do is snuggling under blankets.
He is, however, reactive on leash - particularly to other dogs, but once he’s over stimulated he has lunged at bikes, scooters, etc. We have had him for 5 months and feel this is barrier frustration - he has never been aggressive. His past foster home noted that off leash he was friendly and playful with another dog.
Casper is 6 years old, crate trained, and house trained. He’s low to medium energy - would love a hike but also is more than happy to chill on the couch. We did doggy DNA and he’s a true mutt - 15% lab, 15% Great Pyrenees, 15% staffy, 10% boxer, 10% golden retriever, and the rest a bunch of randomness!
We would be keeping this sweet boy if I didn’t feel like our busy area was stressing him out. It hurts my heart because he is truly SO special. Check out more pics of Casper on his Instagram @parkslopefosters and if you’re interested follow this link: https://nycacc.app/browse/191926 or by searching this name or animal ID (191926) on the NYC ACC website.
NOT looking for a fade.
Looking for a solid, mostly scissor traditional men’s haircut.
Thanks!
