Maybe I’m somehow out of the loop here, but I just got back from the city and was greeted with a $40 ticket at my parking spot in Tarrytown train station. It’s been free on saturdays for as long as I can remember. Saw tickets on other peoples windshields as well. Wtf happened?
Edit: Yeah, I had a brain fart
Thinking raymour and flanigan, Bob's, or IKEA. Any others ?
Looking for personal trainers in Westchester. I'm 24F looking to grow glutes. Please include rates if you can.
Pretty much the title. Need a car wash and want to entertain my kids at the same time. Ideally close to the river towns or lower westchester
Fairly new to area (upper Westchester) but I am looking for community and queer friendly spaces where people love to nerd out and game etc. also, if they garden it’s a plus too!
Am I cooked? Seriously, I am getting out the Army relatively soon and moving back home, what the hell why am I looking at $2175 apartments that arent nice at all? Out of curiosity I checked on Homes in PC for sale, then I looked at homes sold in the last 2 years. Have ALL homes in PC just gone up $200,000 more than what they should be? My grandpa before he passed could not BELIEVE that homes were going for $600,000 in PC he literally could not wrap his head around it. NOW its homes going for over a million!
Am I forever cooked? Im going to be going to Law school when Im back but Jesus, I really dont believe ill be able to even afford PC for a couple months before I save up money. The thing is that I dont want to live anywhere else.
I usually get my monthly Con Ed bill for electric on the 13th of the month. Never got one for January. I called and the person I spoke said that they only see $0 owed. They seemed clueless. Anyone else missing January bill?
Not sure if this would lead to anything but figured I would share here. It’s better than taking no actions!
Please sign if you are experiencing outrageous ConEd bills
It's time to gut and replace everything in our full bath. I have a handle on material costs, but what are fair prices contractors are charging these days so I can brace my wallet?
Question. The PO exam recently opened up n as someone that lives in NewYork city area are we not allowed to take their examination?
Looking for safe, commuter-friendly apartments near St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers! I’d like to be in a good area with an easy commute to Manhattan and the hospital. Any recommendations on neighborhoods or buildings?
SAFETY A HUGE PRIORITY!!
My husband, our almost 3 y/o boy, and I just moved to Westchester this week for my husband’s Job in NYC. We came from Los Angeles so we had a pretty good line up of outdoor activities all year round.
This week I took my son to sky zone in Mt Kisco and also the mall in White plains. I’m signing him up for My Gym which we had back in LA. Wanted to see what else are some good indoor spots to hit when there is seasonal weather!
My husband is actually from Westchester, I’m born and raised Los Angeles County so trying to get a solid routine over the next couple of months!
Power went out in West Harrison!!! Anyone else experiencing this??
Appx 1300 sf townhome. Does not include the cost of flooring, tile, vanity, mirror, and railing. I feel like this is absurd but I could be wrong.
Preferably in southern Westchester! But looking for great customer service and results overall!
We'll be visiting Ardsley this Sunday for a brief meeting and wanted to throw in some light walk/hike in the park afterwards. We have two kids: 7 and 1 year olds, so rough terrain is not an option.
We've visited Rockefeller state park a few years ago and we liked it, but it was during the summer. How is it this time of year? Walkable or not do much?
Or maybe there are better options for a nature walk? Or even something closer to Ardsley? Thank you.
How much is everyone's utility bill in the winter month here in Westchester? Mine is 1000 this month for 3000sqft house. Is this too high? My gas alone is 680.
Hey! As title says i’m looking for bars where the crowd is typically people in their early to mid 20s. Any suggestions would be helpful. Please specific places if possible.
ConEd just filed their latest "Rate Case" earlier today and they are requesting that the PSC allow them to increase their delivery rates by $1.6 billion for electric and $440 million for gas. According to their filing letter, this would raise electric bills by 11.4% and gas bills by 13.3%.
Hi all,
I moved to the town not too long ago and live fairly close to the Larchmont train station. I know the parking on streets is metered, only 2 hours, and not between 2am-6am. With that begin said, is there anyone who’s had experience with having guests come over and potentially stay overnight? If I wanted to let a friend who visited from out of state stay overnight before heading back home in the morning is there a process to go through that would let them park without worrying about a ticket?
I have a few friends who live in northern Westchester and one of them who lives in an apartment in Briarcliff Manor right near the Chillmark shopping center told me the owner is only letting affordable housing applicants in now. Another friend who lives in Croton on Hudson mentioned the same. They live near the food town.
I am not connected to this business in anyway, I just live in the area, and am annoyed by what I saw.
DJ & C Deli, 839 Mile Sq Road Needs Your Support
For those of you who live around the Dunwoodie area of Yonkers, our little bodega has lost most of his business for the last 3 days due to ConEd doing work and taking up all the street parking around his shop. And they aren't near done working yet.
3 days of lost business for a little store could be a catastrophic loss of revenue for a business that relies on us locals and small purchases to stay afloat. ConEd is taking up all the parking his business relies on for customers, as well as a couple of the closest side streets. And they've still got work to do, so it will likely be at least a few days more. And as per usual, all these trucks and ConEd employees on site, and most of them are just standing around chatting without a care in the world.
So go show our little Deli some love and get an egg sandwich or some chips and drink, or whatever. Park a little further away and support him. He's a really nice guy, and to me a staple part of our neighborhood.
I'm looking for a cheaper vet to get my dog spayed. The one I've been going to will cost over $700 and my pet insurance doesn't cover it (hence canceled). Any suggestions welcome . I live in the Scarsdale are.
I am from New England and the standard at bagel shops/delis is white cheddar or American cheese, not this gross orange/yellow crap. Is there anywhere in westchester I can get a BEC with white cheese??? 😭
I would love make a professional meetups and networking and Have a suggestion that if we decide a place somewhere in Westchester where we can sit and exchange professional experiences along with the lots of other stuff relates to personality and professional development. Is a monthly ticket good for 30 days or a month? It’s Jan 29 and my monthly ticket says February. What if I bought a monthly on the 15th? Is it good for 30 days or a specific month?
Any evening job available,

- Electric delivery @ 18.227¢/kWh
- Gas supply @ 62.648¢/therm
- Gas delivery @ 141.415¢/therm

- Also, has anyone done any research on the most economical ESCO?
