Advise on Issues

I drive a 1987 Honda Accord LXI. Well the 5th gear exploded on the freeway the other day.

It's also been leaking oil for a while now, over heating randomly while driving slow and idling, and the rpm has been jumping between 1 and 2 rpm. Had an appointment to get that fixed but my mechanic is really booked out.

All in all why I'm asking here is knowing I assume some of you guys have had issues before, is my car done for or is it worth putting the money in to fix it? 140hr rate for my local best vintage japanese auto mechanic. Usually I go to someone cheaper though.

1973 celica 18r-c stater motor help

Hello all, I have a 1973 celica ra21 with a 18r-c motor and I need a new starter motor. I'm looking at autozone/O'Reillys/rockauto and this is the style that comes up, but when I look at diagrams, I see it without that cone shape over the gears. Would this even work? Also some of the starters come with a R terminal. Do I actually need that or not?

My ex-s13

Was pretty undrivable in wet conditions, not to mention in winter. Loud as hell. Output was around 280HP. This was back in 2008

Clean old Toyota at a park

Plus a less clean, less old Toyota behind it. The owner of the truck looked like he probably bought it new.

Starting up a reproduction parts company!

Hi guys!

I've decided to start my own company that 3D prints reproduction car parts for things that are no longer available. I got pretty frustrated when I couldn't find any parts available for my car. Think interior clips, plastic screws, trim fasteners, etc etc. Buying old new stock can be expensive and those products can break easily due to age and wear.

Basically anything that fits on my 220x220x300mm printer is something that can be designed and printed.

Currently, Vixloi Inc. only offers support for 1984-1989 Nissan 300zx, which is my car, but i’m looking to expand!

Are there any other cars besides the S12 & Lexus LC Series (already planned expansion) I should expand and offer support for?

What product suggestions do you guys have for NLA or new aftermarket parts that are 3D printable, break easily, and are not already reproduced (or an aftermarket part that doesn't exist for old cars)?

I’m looking for product suggestions: if you've got a good idea, please submit your idea here. Any person who’s design gets approved will receive the final product for free!

Let's keep these cars running!
