Im looking for a diagram to make the pillion footpegs for the honda supercub C125 since I have plate steel and steel stock to make them I just need to know the bolt size and distance between them or if someone knows where I can find a sub 30$ pair that would be nice!
Hi, I have a 2002 press cub 50 which is 95.000 k's young. Recently, I've been noticing that she's losing a bit of power here and there, which isn't that surprising considering her age. Considering this, with the possibility of years of neglect (I bought her at 78k from an importer), what would be possible ailments to take care of on a large overhaul?
Had this bike for a year now, bought it brand new. Mostly use it for weekend rides with friends. Threw on a Puig windshield, a generic box with a lock from Amazon Japan, a Kitaco center carrier, and an SP Takegawa shock absorber, feels perfect now.
Thinking about swapping the exhaust for a Yoshimura next year.
I have been having issues with my cub, it is a 2021 with 4k miles. The battery is new, but it wont start with the electric start OR bump starting. The electric start sounds like it is trying for a second then clicks, and bump starting just makes it sound like its running at really low rpm but it dies as soon as I stop pushing.
It has gas, no check engine lights or anything like that.
Where do I start troubleshooting? I have almost no experience with maintenance but I want to figure this out myself.
replaced the chinese carb with an oem one from a slightly newer model and it starts easy and idles smooth
(Assuming you skip most days Jan-early March)
Finally, I purchased the Super Cub C125 for US$2,400 and the odometer is currently at 15,450km. I have few things which I want to take out: 1- Rims( I don’t like matte grey, I want the sliver one like the other version) 2- Should I get the new tires? Could anyone recommend the tires size for both & front ? 3- New Battery? 4- Front and Rare brakes? Anyone can help me about the spare parts number? 5- engine oil filter and air filter ? Please help me about oil filter number part. Note: The Previous owner purchased the bike since June-2023.
Hey there, I got a 1965 Honda Cub and I need a longer front brake arm, however my bike has a 10mm spline on the brake for the arm to connect to since it's older. What should I get? any compatible brake arms from other bikes? Or should I just get a different spline and install it? Thanks!
I've got some rattling going on with my Super Cub that's been present for about 12,000 of the 16,000 miles I've ridden it, and I'm finally sick enough of it to ask how to fix it.
This sound isn't present on either my CT125 or my wife's Super Cub.The rattle is most present when slowing down, towards the lower end of the RPM, before the centrifugal clutch releases due to low RPM, but is also present when accelerating. I can't seem to replicate the rattle when I'm at a standstill, only when there's some actual load or movement on the bike, so no video. But it sounds like a "rattle". Not like a knock or ping.
If I think of the RPM range as a "percentage" (no tachometer lol) the rattle is present from about 20% to 50% or so.
I've made sure it's not the license plate. It's present even after adjusting the chain, the clutch screw on the side of the engine, and changing the oil. Shifting feels right, and it feels like it rides right, it's just got an annoying rattle.
If I try and visualize what I know of the engine, it feels like maybe part of the centrifugal clutch is not, I don't know, under tension? until it speeds up fast enough. Like, when it releases there's no noise, and when it's going fast enough there's no noise, but in that middle range where it's engaged but not spinning fast, something is loose enough to rattle?
What do I need to check/replace? I feel like if someone points me in the right spot I can fix it but I don't know what to check.
I could use some help in determining if this Evatek -Brembo front brake kit will work on a JA48 Super Cub with ABS. The product details I have been able to find are a bit limited and don’t speak to ABS Cubs. Thanks in advance!
Well…. I am in the snowiest city in America and fun time is coming to an end soon. Any tips for storing until spring? My garage is unheated and as you can see I have a tender installed
I have a 2019 C125 US market Super Cub. It has recently developed surging at higher rpms in any gear. Pretty constant in 4th gear at 45mph or higher.
Took it to the local dealer and they adjusted the clutch but only reduced the surge. Has anyone else experienced this and/or have ideas on a possible cause? Honda doesn’t seem to know a this time.
So, I've recently noticed the ABS light is no longer turning off and the speedometer has stopped working as well.
What I've done so far:
Checked the sensor, from outside it looks good and is mounted solid.
Checked both fuses related to the ABS system. Both good.
Checked the connectors you can access. They're well ... connected and the cables look good.
So far nothing has worked and I'm out of ideas what could be causing this issue.
Edit: For anyone that might have the same issue in the future, for me, it was the abs sensor that for whatever reason decided it was not working anymore.
The bike has been sitting for a few months because of a paperwork nightmare.
Oil level was low so I refilled it but I noticed that when it runs its blowing a decent amount of air from the refill hole.
I don't know if it did that in the past and I don't know if it's normal. Is it safe to drive for a bit?
Model is a 1980s round headlight C50c
