I could use some help in determining if this Evatek -Brembo front brake kit will work on a JA48 Super Cub with ABS. The product details I have been able to find are a bit limited and don’t speak to ABS Cubs. Thanks in advance!
Well…. I am in the snowiest city in America and fun time is coming to an end soon. Any tips for storing until spring? My garage is unheated and as you can see I have a tender installed
I have a 2019 C125 US market Super Cub. It has recently developed surging at higher rpms in any gear. Pretty constant in 4th gear at 45mph or higher.
Took it to the local dealer and they adjusted the clutch but only reduced the surge. Has anyone else experienced this and/or have ideas on a possible cause? Honda doesn’t seem to know a this time.
So, I've recently noticed the ABS light is no longer turning off and the speedometer has stopped working as well.
What I've done so far:
Checked the sensor, from outside it looks good and is mounted solid.
Checked both fuses related to the ABS system. Both good.
Checked the connectors you can access. They're well ... connected and the cables look good.
So far nothing has worked and I'm out of ideas what could be causing this issue.
The bike has been sitting for a few months because of a paperwork nightmare.
Oil level was low so I refilled it but I noticed that when it runs its blowing a decent amount of air from the refill hole.
I don't know if it did that in the past and I don't know if it's normal. Is it safe to drive for a bit?
Model is a 1980s round headlight C50c
Unlike the standard versions in other countries, I am in Vietnam and everything is fine, but this motorcycle is not equipped with ABS brakes, it is a cut-down. But I want to add this equipment after purchase, is it possible and can they work normally?
Hello y'all, due to some circumstances, I have to sell my prized Super Cub 50cc 1970 and I am wondering how much I could sell it for. Slight issues with the flashers but overall works great and I have the papers about 8kms and the paint is not original but I resprayed it the same color as it originally was. Could someone be kind enough to give me their opinions?
Have checked the carb and all is fine even with a new one.
Neutral light comes on when kickstarting but nothing happens
Fuel coming out fine and spark is there as if I easy start direct into it, it starts fine but then dies
Battery also fine
Sharing the trick that FINALLY let me remove the special nut holding the forks to the frame:
Hot-glue a ball-bearing into one of the slots, and then a 35mm socket can grip the whole thing.
No need to buy or make a special tool
Sorry if it's not a SUPER cub but I need help So the 3 major problems right now are the solenoid, kick start, and magneto. Where do I go for parts?
Hey all, it's getting cold and wondering if anyone has experience with Hippo Hands or similar (and the associated hand guards) that fit on the US C125. The turn signals, mirror mounts, etc have me questioning what's going to work. The hippo hands look like they'll go on nice and easy but wondering about clearance around the protruding turn signals mainly.
Anyone in Nashville that can rebuild an engine?
Hi all,
I am looking to get a tailbag for my Super Cub 2023. I've removed the pillion seat and plan to secure the bag on the rack that is beneath the seat.
Does anyone have any recommendations for decent bags? I don't wanna spend upwards of £100 on something that's not gonna do the job very well ya know.
I'm UK based.
Are there big differences between each year of super cub? Is there one you particularly want more than others?
Just doing some super cub research before I buy one.
I have a beautiful, flawless 2020 supercub with only 621 miles in pristine condition.
Unfortunately I have to sell. I have it listed on both Facebook marketplace and Craigslist and have only gotten scams and extreme low ball offers.
Any recommendations on how to sell? Are there better sites to post on? I thought she would fly into a new owners arms…
I’m in the Denver area if anyone is interested around here.
Thank you!
So I’ve been fighting with my 1981 Honda C70 Passport for a month now trying to get it running smooth and reliably, and I’m having trouble making consistent progress. Most of the lights and electrical systems have had problems since day one, but I did recently get the headlight and rear light to start working after replacing and switching some wires around. The fuel system has been iffy as well but for the most part, the bike usually has been able to run after fiddling with the carb or spark plug.
I’m honestly getting a little tired of the back and forth of partially fixing one thing and having another go wrong and I was just wondering how good an idea it would be to simply pull out the wiring harness (and possibly the engine?) to do a full diagnostic on everything at once. Ideally this would let me know exactly what parts work and which ones don’t so that I can repair or replace and then put everything back together again.
I’ve never done anything this hands on with any sort of circuit (or engine) outside of projects in science class a decade ago, and I’m just wondering how much worse a position I would be in going about fixing the bike this way?
Hey guys, I've been working on repairing my new 1981 Passport for about a month now and most recently I've been trying to get the electrical parts on and working.
Yesterday, I realized that I had the connecters for the headlight backwards (which I believe resulted in some of the wires shorting and emitting white smoke for a moment...), but once I switched the two connectors, not only did the smoke cease, but the Headlight and Rearlight came on as well. Something I've been struggling to make happen for about a week.
But almost immediately afterward I ran into the new issue of my bike running fine at idle but turning off as soon as I switch it into first gear.
Like it gives a small lurch forward initially, but the engine turns off as soon as I hit the pedal. I tried doing some googling on the issue but most of what I've seen tries placing the blame on the kickstand switch, which I don't believe my bike has.
I haven't had this problem at all in the last month, so I'm almost inclined to believe that the smoking wires I noticed yesterday might have something to do with it.
Any ideas? Engine literally just kills out as soon as I switch into first (Lights still on). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: I also am pretty sure the choke is not the issue. I've tried it in multiple positions, and it does not appear to be slipping or stuck.
Is anyone else confused about the available colors for the 2024 Super Cub? The official Honda website shows Pearl Gray and Niltava Blue as options, but I'm getting conflicting information about what's available. I found a few for sale online that claim they are 2024 models in the Niltava Blue, but when I talked to a Honda dealer, they said it's only the 2019 model.
I really want the Niltava Blue but am not seeing much for sale online despite their website saying it’s an option for 2024. Does anyone know what the deal is with this? Are the 2024 Niltava Blues I’m seeing online not really 2024?
I'm in Ohio, US. https://powersports.honda.com/motorcycle/minimoto/super-cub-c125
Picked up 2 more 81’s this week to go with my 300 mile 81, after owning more than 20 passports I finally got my yellow one!!!
Here’s the original C100 front brake lever, part number C1005205. It is pointy and sharp and attractive and i like it very much. It is called a ‘suicide’ lever because it can cause additional wounds in an accident. Others think it is called suicide because it is not effective in its operation. Nah, it is great.
