Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is my first Z project car. I’m working on reassembling the frontend and I noticed there is nothing behind the headlight to protect it from the wheel. Surely there is supposed to be some sort of inner fender or that headlight is going to be quickly destroyed by road debris. What would you call that part and where can I find one?

I have a friend that's dumping some datsun parts and he asked me if I wanted them. Not for free but would it be worth selling off so it ends up to people that need it and I don't sit on it forever.

Already have enough of a project with my Z.

Its 2 complete 280zx turbo motors a fuel tank, uncracked zx dash with instruments clusters gauges ect. 4 rims, ECU, wiring. Rear difs and a manual transmission 5 speed.

In my recent part searching it seems like things are getting hard to source and expensive but that might just be my area.

Can anyone give me their thoughts?

Going to Japan in a few weeks and have a significant baggage allowance. Want to use the opportunity to bring some parts back.

Looking for smaller rust repair panels, interior panels/trim pieces and reproduce parts. All my searches are being up places in North America but having difficulty finding places in Japan.

I am looking to finally plan put my winter updates to my efi system in my 77 280z with a fresh rebuild, around 1500 miles on it in essentially a stock state. I want to ditch the stock efi because mine has become quite sketchy and unreliable. I have a few ideas but i want to hear from others about where they have gotten parts and their reviews of them.

1. I want to get a megasquirt 3 from Godzilla and go with coils

2. upgrade the fuel rail from stock to something cleaner. I am open to suggestions on this.

3. New injectors, also open to suggestions.

4. Anything else anyone would recommend that i havent thought about or where i may be overthinking it.

Are there Anny Websites from other countries Like sweden or Finnland that are good to find Classic Cars?

I dont Care If the Car is LHD or RHD btw

Note:i would ideally Need an Automatic one because of an disabilaty and yes i know those are rare (its Not an Need tho i could Work somthing Out i think)

Has anyone had to go through the process of cleaning out the gas tank. Mine was full of crud and kept sucking up old tank sealer (previous owner). Don’t have any radiator shops that still clean around me.

I have a 280z with a L28ET that's running but rough. Anyone know of any shops that work on them? I've called around 30 of ones listed and no luck.

Did some searches for trying to get a guide or checklist to start diagnosing myself. Have all the required tools but I'm not as familiar with turbo engines and the required tuning required.

Also, anyone down here that's even just a garage mechanic that could help I'd happily pay for your time.
