Has anyone done Grad Dip of Psychology Advanced( 4th year program )with Edith Cowan? I've got an offer for the forth year. But also have an offer from Uni of Adelaide and not sure which one would be better. I want to do well enough so I can move on to Masters. Have heard ECU is great with online and support. But unsure of psych credibility. Or does it not matter where one would Do 4th year?Thank you
I graduated from a Business background, majoring in Marketing & HRM, and I'm willing to pursue Masters in MIS at ECU as an international student.
Are there any issues regarding offer letters, scholarships, or visas if I make the jump from Business to IT?
Note: I have good academic records & IELTS results.
Thank you!
Hi guys,
I've been accepted to ECU uni (Master of Engineering - with Computer System major) and trying to understand the system of ECU to enroll my units (or courses), if you have experience in enrolling units or advice for these, I would very much appreciate. In additional, do you know what the requirements to graduate for this course? Do we will have thesis or project to wrap all of knowledge we learned? Or do we just have exams and grades to graduate from school?
Besides, I would like to make friends with all you guys who have been or is new at this uni, so that we can discuss more about ideas and projects which we can work or develop together.
I would share a bit about my background first, I have been in Embedded Software field for few years in Finland and looking for a fresh start in Australia as I want to get into Industrial IoT. I am not super in programming but a bit of everything, I mean through my work I've learned about a bit of electronics and programming (mostly C and little of Python). If there is anything I can help, don't hesitate to get in touch. :D
Looking forward to all your comments.
hello everyone! i (22F) am currently in my third year of psychology at Curtin and wanting to go into Masters of Psychology in Western Australia. For those who have been offered and or received interviews, what experiences did you have and what volunteering did you do to increase your likelihood of being offered a position. i am stressed at the moment because i have never wanted more than to become a psychologist but i know it is super competitive to get into it and feel like i have no hope. my next option would be to apply for Industrial Psychology at UWA (as i am currently doing a double degree in HR/IR). for anyone that has taken that route and changed into clinical work what has that been like for you? any advice and recommendations is highly valued, thank you in advance!
I'm looking to move into ECU village (Mt Lawley) for semester 1, 2025, and am trying to work out how I'll store my mountain bike (or preferably, bikes). Is there sufficient space to keep it in a studio apartment? I'd definitely rather not leave it locked up in a regular bike rack somewhere, where it could be prone to pretty expensive damage etc. Thanks!
Hi, is anyone studying nursing and wants to practise for the Simulated Clinical Assessment stage 1/ or any stage that has the time and is kind enough to let me practice getting their vital signs etc. Thank you in advance.
I’ve just been offered a place in the GDPA online. Anyone in this course currently? Can you share your thoughts on any pros/cons especially for online delivery?
I’ve seen a lot of reviews about this course online at other institutions (Monash etc) but can’t find much on ECU.
Grateful for any info!
Anyone applied and got an offer yet? I applied a few weeks ago and my application status is showing reassess. How long does the process usually take before they give out offers or not?
Hi there,
I just moved out of my studio apartment in building A3 at the ECU Mt Lawley student village. I found private accommodation so my studio apartment is sitting empty if anyone is interested.
Rent is 295 per week. A bond payment of $1180 is required.
Clean, comfortable & affordable.
Close to the CBD.
I found Mt Lawley to be a safe & quiet suburb to live in.
You don't have to be an ECU student to be eligible to live here - just currently enrolled at uni.
Reply below if interested.
So I'm going into paramedical science and need to get into shape, I need to get more muscle and up my cardio (a lot) so I would love to know you guy's opinion on the $99 a year gym. Is it worth it?
Since I haven’t found accommodation in the village, I would like to stay in a Homestay. I already found the perfect one; however, is there any way I can surely know it’s for real, and I am not being lied to?
If I just got on the waitlist for accommodation at the ECU village, and my studies start in october, what are the chances of me getting the accommodation? Are there any problems with it? I am a first year student btw.
Are there anyone who will be having there first class at ecu tomorrow?

Hello there! My name is Svetlana, and I am currently completing research for my psychology honours thesis project at Curtin University, Western Australia. As a passionate gamer and student myself, I have always been curious about how video gaming may influence our daily lives, especially among university students.
If you are over the age of 18 and completing an undergraduate degree at a university in Western Australia your participation would be greatly appreciated!
Playing video games is an increasingly popular activity, often accompanied by irregular dietary and lifestyle choices. This study aims to investigate how video gaming may influence psychosocial stress, lifestyle, and diet among Australian undergraduate university students.
Participation involves completing an anonymous online survey that takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. By completing the survey, you can win one of x3 $50 (AUD) online gift vouchers! 🎁
More information can be found in the study's information sheet upon opening the link, followed by a consent form.
Please share this with any undergraduate students in Western Australia who might be interested in participating 🫶
Thank you so much for your valuable participation!🌟
Hi anyone is doing the course from tomorrow?
Has anyone applied for Master of Business Administration for this July intake?
Hey, I’m taking this exam is there any tips anyone has or what I need to memorise? I’ve already done a large chunk I just want to make sure I’ve done enough. Any help with literally helps thanks
to the people in this sub,
I have some questions about the bachelor of technology regarding its maths.
it says Mathematics methods is helpful, but you can take a bridging unit. Can anyone doing the degree or with similar experience comment on their experience with the degree regarding this?
I have not viewed my maths as the best, but I believe I can still undertake the course. I know it will be hard but would greatly benefit me If I got another persons experience with the course
Hey all
Just wanted to know if the IELTS validity for ECU with regard to international students have to be valid at time of course commencement or at the time of course application?
Your Inputs would be highly valuable.
Thank you
I handed my last assignment in very late due to being sick/change of ADHD meds not being super effective. I’m on a Learning Access Plan and I’m really worried I’ve failed this unit by literally 1% due to late penalties on an assignment… am I doomed to repeat or has anyone had any luck with leniency because of a LAP?
Hi! I’d like to ask what are the well known courses at ECU? Thank you!
Hello,
If you're looking to get into the course mentioned in the title, how would you do so?
I am doing a Cert IV In business, but that will only get me a 70 ATAR. What can I do to get that extra bit?
Good Morning everyone,
I'm currently working in cyber security but don't have much of a programming background (self-taught and not very good). I was interested in doing a part-time Bachelor of Comp Sci (Software Eng) online over the next six years or so to facilitate a medium term shift into application security/DevSecOps.
For those who've recently completed the Comp Sci - Soft Eng bachelors -- how was the coding component? Reading some reviews from the past said the degree didn't cover many advanced coding concepts. I'd be interested to know if that's changed at all.
