Please give some suggestions to perform good in this course.
I don't know how to study for this course as the text book is pretty shitty and prof does not post any slides (there are students notes tho).
I think this course was first offered in spring/summer.
For any former student reading this they changed the language to go lang from C.
I AM LOST bruhhh
Anyone take Samuel Goldstein’s COMM 304 last year? If so, what type of questions did he ask (essay, multiple, short answers, etc) for the midterms?
So there has been maintenance checking the kitchenette, bathrooms, plumbing, etc. They’re not sure of the source of the smell yet. The girls think it’s in the carpet. Which it very well could be. Anyway they are now doing room checks 😭. So I hope everyone is ready for that. I’ve already done garbage and moved food around. I just need to worry about surfaces. But anyway what do you guys think?
Did anyone see a wireless Logitech mouse left on Murray 2nd floor by any chance? I think I left it there on Thursday, it should look something like this
I am a student from UManitoba but am posting here because the b schools of both unis have almost the same reputation (good enough for the province but you cant expect the high finance jobs in the other provinces) and found something interesting about one of your alumnis. So i was recently going through the linkedin profile of Josh Simair and found that he completed his BComm from Usask in 2010 and founded skip the dishes in 2012 with his brother. The part that got me intrigued was:
-He had an internship in investment banking in CIBC in 2008 (during uni) in calgary
-His first full time job was investment banker in RBC in London, UK
What im intrigued about is how did he manage to pull this off with a degree from Usask? People keep saying that companies dont recruit for such positions from Usask and go with the big b schools like ivey, queens etc. but what did Josh Simair do different to land such roles?? I wanna follow his footsteps if possible.
I'm running a study for a prof in Ag econ that involves an experiment using game theory to see how people make decisions on whether to follow government regulations. It takes roughly 45 mins. and pays, on average, $20 (actual compensation is based on performance in the experiment). If you're interested, you can sign up here: https://ca1se.voxco.com/SE/90/Signup/
If those times don't work, you can indicate on the sign-up and I'll let you know when I have more timeslots.
Tell me why one of the umi sushi express workers was in the washroom and proceeded to use the toilet WITH her gloves on and then went to wash her hands with the gloves as well. Not sure if she got new gloves when she went back but i’m praying to god she did bcuz wth😭
I got accepted to a computer science for fall 2025 semester and would like to double major and do applied mathematics, do I just wait until next year to look into this or do I decide this now?
Midterm 2 is on Nov 07 and I was wondering if there is any group chat I could join?
The university has got to have dozens of these starting this year.
The club car Carryall 700 STARTS at more than 21 thousand Canadian dollars for the most basic model. Adding on the accessories including the back enclosed thing instead of a “truck bed”, the EV system and custom livery, these thing probably EACH could have cost $30 000 or more….
Looking at this one, it’s named EV15, suggesting there are at least 15 of these in the fleet.
They fly around on pedestrian sidewalks, and can’t carry anything that doesn’t fit in the little box. And I bet $5 these things will get parked indoors for 6 months of the year because they probably don’t have cabin heat etc.
Seems like such an insane waste of student dollars, considering this fleet could have easily cost between 1/4 and 1/2 a million dollars.
What do y’all think? Good investment?
Hi,
I just got an offer for an interview for Post Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Has anyone done the interview before, if so how was it? Any tips would be much appreciated!
Every time I go to Murray there are always people watching lectures or on the phone on the fourth floor. There are signs everywhere that this is a low volume area, which I understand, but it also says to be mindful of others and wear earbuds. This is stated everywhere across Murray, even in the elevator. I try to complain to the library staff and we chat for 10 mins about how they can’t control people and how people do what they want. Like, can you politely ask them to go to another floor that has louder volumes like 1st or ground?
66% aw man 😭 i used to get at least like 85s in High School this looks bad help 😭
There’s a couple of my professors that I’d like to leave thank you notes for at the end of the term! Do students have access to their campus mailboxes? Or is it best to leave it at their office?? Thanks!
I am in my AgBussiness diploma and I have to take a course that needs 90 credit to be fulfilled or request from the department. As I only have to do 60 credit, how do I request ? Do I have to mail the faculty advisor? Thanks in advance.
Hello! I am just wondering if anyone knows what college to communicate with about taking physics 90.
Any info would be lovely! Thank you :) Happy Halloween 🎃
I know this isnt at usask but for Ag night, whats the cover charge at Long branch? I know if you are an ag student you will get in free. But what if you arnt?
Same for outlaws
Hello, everyone!
I’m currently having issues with registration. This has been occurring all day, whenever I click “Register for Classes” on paws. Whether I select the Fall or Winter term, the loading page freezes and the message “An error has occurred and your registration cannot be processed” prompt pops up. Has anybody encountered this issue, or does anyone know how to fix it?
For more context, I do not have any academic holds that prevent me from registering, and I do have the tickets for both fall and winter to register. I wanted to check and change my schedule for next term when this “glitch” occurred.
Is it just me, or is the method of booking an academic advisor unbelievably inefficient? I've been trying for 3 weeks and they are always booked. There needs to be a better was than this hail Mary rush to book in the morning right?
thank you for making my day :D u guys are awesome
Do we have dental insurance provided by the university as full-time students? If so, how can I access that?
I hope you're ok and you didn't break your leg. You should probably see someone just in case.
Is there a way for us to check rcc balance without going to the uni shops?
Who are you gonna be this halloween?
As the title says, I need some mental prep lol. I was not able to study much for this midterm at all due to some external factors and am essentially going into it with little prep. For people who had this class with Shannon, just how hard was it? Doable? Tricky? Or straightforward?
Does anyone know what was going on in Edwards/Law last night? The fire alarm went off and campus security went running into the law building.
Hey! I am wondering if you are an educations student when you found out that you were offered admissions? Just trying to figure out a ball park.
Where is the good food on campus!?!?
First year here, dont attack me please 😂 im just wondering if id look ridiculous wearing my halloween costume tomorrow? Trying to decide if i should wear it or not tomorrow.
