Im aware there are lots of these safety type threads but i wanted to ask more specifically about FM and DAB.
Peoples opinions on what Kw is 'safe' per say varies massively. I know this is because things like gain also affect how safe a climb is. But how does one find out the gain (or whatever else affects it)? The DAB and FM radio wattage is publicly available on the transmitter I know about (1 Channel at ~5kw for VHF FM and 2 channels each at ~2kw VHF FM - so realistically not too high) so what else do I need to work out or calculate? Also does one add those up, so total is 9kw?
Also, if there are FM dipoles, can I go past them on the tower provided I don't hang around them? Some say you can, and others say steer very clear of them.

I only have myself
I've had my eyes on this water tank for a few weeks now, as my first climb. I've already climbed halfway up the ladder, and have a quick route up the ladder guard. I plan on fully committing soon, but the exposed nature freaks me out. Any tips on overcoming fear? I'm not worried that much about getting caught, it's rather secluded, but it's still a possibility. Any tips on that front as well?
Specifically, those ones that look like extra unfortunate pine trees. Just curious what they look like up close/from inside.
