I've read the wiki and I see that for TV towers it says you can't go within 300 feet of the antenna without dying in a matter of minutes, and even greater of a range than that and you may become infertile. However, I've seen many people, including on this subreddit, climbing what I assume are TV towers (as indicated by the batwing antennas). I would further assume that these towers must be decommissioned but how do you come to understand that? Are there particular tools you can get and use at the sites that would tell you if antennas/towers are decommissioned or not?
just a construction site lol. Pretty simple compared to other people in this sub
Does someone remember Chase.TO? He was a music producer and urban climber with crazy videos. He had around 4k on yt.
A few months back I noticed all of his videos and post were deleted, the only thing that was left were his youtube, Rumble and Instagram Profile and some of his tracks on yt or spotify.
Today I sadly discoverd that EVERYTHING was gone. Its like he got deleted from the internet entirely.
Does anyone know what happend to him?
And has anyone downloaded his music? If so please dm me cuz his tracks were absolutly fire!
(This is the only track I have btw)
Do people use balconies to climb apartment buildings, is that common
I have been suffering from severe depression for the past six months. I cried almost every day and sometimes went days without eating. I also experienced derealization, where everything felt like a dream rather than reality. Then, about four months ago, I stopped crying and became completely numb to everything. I was no longer afraid of death, so I attempted suicide, but it failed as the police intervened and stopped me
After that, I started watching Urbex and Urban climbing videos. In the past, I used to think such activities were insane and terrifying, and I couldn’t even imagine attempting them. However, perhaps due to my numbness, they no longer seemed scary to me. That seemed like it could change my daily life, and it looked really cool. I decided to give it a try. Three days later, I did my first climb
I went to a construction site and climbed about 50 floors of a building, and then crossed over to a crane and climbed it. In the past, I would have been paralyzed by fear of heights, but this time, I wasn’t scared at all. After my first climb, I went on to climb five more buildings over the next two months. I feel like this has helped me a lot in my recovery, and I have even created a bucket list of climbing goals
It seems like there are quite a few climbers who, like me, overcame their fear of heights due to severe depression and emotional numbness
I want to know how you all overcame your fear of heights and why you guys started urbanclimbing
This was my first climb in general, it was a crane went solo and my goodness it was one of the best experiences I have ever done in my whole life. I can't even imagine what its like way higher than this can't wait to find out as well. (It was snowing and cold out couldn't get that many photos or videos before my phone blacked out, It was also at 10% when I climbed it lmao.)
Small climb but a great view over the westmidlands uk ontop of the tallest Hill in the westmidlands
Sometimes i find closed doors/locks, most of the time i just take another way in or climb to avoid the lock, but sometimes there is no way in apart from that door/lock. my question is: how many times do you lock pick to get inside/climb places? does it really work in the “real world”? how much time does it usually take you to pick a lock during a climb? minutes or seconds?
i bought some lockpicking gear and i can pick some real locks that i bought from various stores in a matter of seconds but never tried during a climb
edit: what about bump keys? always seen them on youtube but never really bought and tried one
Is it still worth it to run away from security if they have my face on cams and on everything? I’m planning to hit a roof of shopping mall and there is a huge chance that security guards will catch me. Should i still try to break out and run away from them or is it not worth it?
