I'm curious as to what other people find irritating.
edit: other than the parking (we all hate the parking)
Im taking human anatomy at sandy with professor mcknight on tuesdays and thursdays from 5 to 7 pm. Is there anyone who is taking this class who would like a carpool buddy? I can help pitch in for gas!
Question for my fellow Pre-Med, Pre-PA, and other Pre-Grad students working on shadowing hours. How have you been going about getting these hours? Cold-calling? Emailing? Family or connections? I've noticed a lot of pre-med students have family in medicine so I assume that makes this process a bit easier. I’ve been struggling to figure out where to start, and honestly, my experiences with the pre-professional advisors at the U haven’t been very helpful—they’ve mostly told me I need to figure it out on my own. I’ve checked other subreddits for advice, which has helped a bit, but I thought I’d reach out here to get more specific, local recommendations. Any tips or insights would be really appreciated!
Has anyone has Gordan Savin for MATH 4400 (Number Theory) or Christel Hohenegger for MATH 2280 (Differential Equations)? How are they?
Hi, just seeing if anyone has done an Accounting study abroad at National Taiwan University? Looking to see if its a good choice for accounting majors with classes offered that meet University of Utah graduation requirements. Any help is appreciated!!!
Hey has anyone done this class? It doesn't seem offered regularly, and I am hoping to get insight as to what it is like. I found a video series on youtube showing lectures by a different professor than the one projected to teach in the spring, but any information is appreciated.
Additionally, has anyone had any experience in class with Professor Yin Yang? Positive, negative?
how is it that bad
Any standout programs to consider? Has anyone used the national guard to pay for school and used tuition waivers? Curious before I consider making the move.
Are we expected to leave for winter break? If not, will things be open like campus store and such to eat?
Shoot me a message to join!! Game is tonight right by campus!
I moved across the country from Florida to come to the U.
I got all the information ahead of time to plan accordingly. I drained my savings to move here.
I’m a physics major and we have NO physics advisors. I’ve had to manually do all of my transfer course evaluations to even get into classes because I was sent to 3 departments and countless people only to be told for me to just go through and requests evals per class and they didn’t know why it was not done.
Out of state tuition: I knew I had to pay for half that my grants and such didn’t cover. I got a job and the due date. I made sure to ask about class registration and if I’d still be able to if I made my last payment beginning of December. They assured me they could push the registration hold to the date as long as it was paid before the end of the year/semester. I called today and not only was that person rude, they said they can’t do that and have no idea why someone would have told me that. Now I can’t register for classes.
And even though I’m a junior I have a registration date of Nov 13th for some reason anyway.
I’m legitimately considering having this be my only semester and going to a cheaper school that actually gives a shit about their students. I was optimistic when I started, but I’m just tired, frustrated and sick of fighting them to attend and succeed.
Wtf should I do? My Florida college was never this difficult to navigate, I have no advisor to even contact to ask for direction. I’m at a loss here.
I am a freshman and My cis showed my class enrollment date is Nov. 11 but I heard many people's enrollment date is Nov. 7. I am wondering which one is true Thank you for all comments
When using the UofU labarchives site, it always takes me refreshing my page 30-40 times to see other student notebooks shared with me--does this happen to anyone else and if so have you found any solutions?? Thank you!
Hey All, has anyone else had issues with trying to get the student SRO tickets? For the BYU and Arizona I got a message that said I was blocked for unauthorized activity. I have no idea what triggered this. Its beyond frustrating though.
In addition, what do I need to know to trying and get MUSS tickets for next year?
Is anyone in the CommSHER Emphasis or have graduated with it? Thoughts on the program and any jobs from it?
I'm looking to take a metal working class as an elective next semester. I would need to join a class with 0 prereqs. I personally have lots of experience with fabrication, just no actual course evidence. Does anybody know any classes like that?
If not, let me know what paths I can take to get to a metal working class. I'm fine with having to wait a semester if I need to retake an intro to engineering class or something.
If you have graduated from u of Utah computer science, then what was your salary on your first job, how long did it take you to find one and how much do you make now?
Went to pay for my food today and they had unscrewed the damn thing
I have tried to make appointments with pre med advisor twice since end of September. And every time they just literally automatically cancelled my appointment one hours before the meeting. They every time explained the reason is they were sick..... I don't buy it no way every time they were sick when they have meeting appointments??? And each appointment has to be waited at least two weeks.I don't understand what was going on? 😡
Does anyone know anything else about the alert on alert.utah.edu? I don't feel comfortable going to campus while it's active but I also have a math quiz today and don't know if my prof will let me make it up

Anyone know of any Halloween parties happening on or around campus tonight?
I know this is desperate, but I have come to terms with that haha. I messed up my one year of living on campus by not really knowing how to meet new people. It felt like everyone already had their friends, and my roommates were polar opposite of me (lifestyle, humor, etc.) Sounds silly to say, but I'm in my early 20s and feel like I never learned how to make friends post middle school, not sure why. Also, please don't tell me to join a club, I know! I just really don't have time and I feel a little late to the scene being a third year.
Looking to meet people interested in going for fun activites chill -- climbing, hiking, resort or backcountry skiing, biking, camping, etc. Or even just hangin out at the library once in a while! Hoping some folks see this that maybe feel the same way, and they are not sure where to start! Even if you are not an activity person and just want someone to sit with in the library, or anything please reach out! I'm busy with work and school, so my free time does tend to go to those types of things! It's been a long time since I've had close girl friends, and I miss that! But this is of course not gender exclusive! Dm me if you wanna talk!!
Has anyone taken test 4 which is about specific heat and state changes, what kind of questions were on the test that I should study for, what stuff didn’t show up on the test?
I’ve got a golf cart hanging out at home and was thinking of offering rides to classes or on-campus housing for students. Would you guys pay $5, $4, $3, or nothing? If nothing, is it because you don't mind walking or is there already good enough transportation?
I am wondering if the exams will be during the lecture section or discussion section? Thanks you for all comments
