I saw a similar post earlier and it reminded me of my own situation. So for background, this is my first year at unlv and I'm majoring in chemistry. I was working a lot in the beginning of the semester and had other priorities on top of school which I now regret because I could most likely fail my math and chemistry course. I am taking 5 classes at the moment with 16 credits total. For my other 3 classes I have an A in them the only classes I am really struggling in is Math 126/26B (5 credits I think) with a grade of 63.56% and Chem 240 (2 credits) mid-sem class with a grade of 56.36% I am really trying my best to boost my grades but it's just been hard to be motivated. At the moment my financial aid comes from fafsa, millenium scholarship, and $2500 tuition aid from my job. I think I could maybe pass Math 126 since the final exam is worth 30% but im not sure about Chem 240. If I do fail that class, could fafsa and the milenium be revoked? Would I get suspended from getting financial aid? Would my gpa be that affected if I failed Chem 240 since it is only 2 credits but even so? I just have so many questions and I don't know who to turn to. I feel a bit lost.
Hi. I'm the sort who's used big words for ages and I'm about to become an English major but I'm scared as all heck that I'll be accused of using AI. Has this happened to anyone before, particularly those who'd consider their writing at or above collegiate level and/or use Microsoft Word so you can't view history? How did you deal with it and/or prove your innocence? Did it ever happen? Did your profs. tend to learn your style before making accusations like that?
EDIT: Already appreciative of all the reassurances I'm getting. Thanks to everyone who's commented.
Anybody know when regular undergrads can register for a online degree class only?
Anybody taking FIN 405 with Zavala and has finished their class project ? I need help 😭🙏🏽
Hi guys. I might fall under a 1.8 gpa this semester, and honestly it’s my fault bc college is way harder than I thought lol. Are Pell grants with fafsa revoked due to gpa?
Is anyone else here working on the course project for IS 101 that’s due on Friday? The CHATGPT one…
Hello everyone,
I run a podcast here in town and we are currently looking to bring one or two people on to the team. Your responsibilities will mainly revolve around production and can range from camera work and editing to scheduling and booking depending on your skillset. We would ideally want to start over winter break and can carry on into the spring semester if there is a good fit and chemistry. We are open to people from any major and with varying levels of experience, we simply ask that you be coachable and reliable.
If you or someone you know think you might be interested please reach out to me via private message and I would be happy to provide more information and hopefully we can connect and see if there is a good fit. I hope you have a productive study week and good luck with finals!

WATCH PARTY AT TWIN PEAKS! If anyone is wanting Mountain West UNLV VS Boise champ game lmao
Watch party is going to be at Twin Peaks!! It is kid friendly so anyone under 21 is able to go.
Has anyone experienced that course blocking from the course evals? Do they really block you from seeing content? When do you see the content back? Can you still take your finals?
I recently applied to the MS program and theyre requiring GRE, with preference to students belonging in the 50th percentile? Does anyone know whether or not they won't accept you if you dont reach the minimum? is it hard to get admitted to the program?
also, what GRE sites of reviewers do you recommend?
Hi y'all, Does anyone know if parking is enforced on campus during winter break from Dec16th to Jan 17th? TIA!
Do we have to go to class during study week?
I’ll be at UNLV from tn till the 4th of December. Unfortunately I won’t be 21 for 10 days. Any bars that are chill with fakes?
I don't have much time to eat before I go to work, and I have seen people who take food in a container and want to know how that works, do I have to pay extra each time I go in?
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone with a car could help me get to school. I mainly rely on the bus but im growing tired from it. I live on Cheyenne and revere in north las Vegas. Please help. Hugs unicorn
If anyone is taking IS 101, can someone show or tell me what to do for the project on IS 101?
Hello everyone I am gonna be applying to every scholarship possible for my sophomore year and I saw UNLV offers a signature and a oppertunity scholarship. What’s the best way for me to make my odds great to get these.
There was a semester long project in this class that I didn't bother to finish (my fault, ik) because I had to set up an interview with an advisor and write about it. There's one other class that I have a failing grade in, but I can raise that just enough with the last few assignments I have left for the year. All of my other grades are a B or higher. Would I be okay, or would this put me under a probation? And even if I fail (I should say when), is this something I would have to take again?
Hey there is anyone have room at the Legacy need to be move out and sublet or something? I look to move on by the end of December or 1st January. Thank you. 😊
Does anyone know if there is gonna be flights to the championship??
Is it on the field tonight? Don’t see it!
They’ll approach you at the library or somewhere else in campus stating that they’re Christians. They’ll invite you to bible studies, but what they don’t tell you is they worship a Mother God and Father God. The God they worship is named AhnSahng-hong (do your research). The Mother God is alive living in Korea, they withhold this information until you’re a brainwashed member. They’ll pressure you to get baptized by saying “tomorrow is not promised.” I’m making this post so you don’t waste your time engaging with these people like I did (I thought they were students). They’re told to recruit college students.
Is it worth it? I want to study chemistry to become a pharmacist. Idk if honors college will help with that or not
Does anybody live there know if the Legacy have laundry to use at all? I don’t have a car so it hard to go too far for the laundry and I know the Degree have laundry room, but not sure about the legacy.
I'm planning to transfer to UNLV for Spring 2025 upon completing my associate degree with a 2.5 GPA at TMCC in Reno. However, our semester ends on the 13th, and I don't have my final transcripts to confirm my GPA yet(although on track for a 2.5). UNLV Hospitality advisement told me to submit my high school transcript instead, but I'm still waiting to receive it due to the holidays.. and given the fact they always reply very last minute.
My question is, given the early ass Dec 1st deadline and these unforeseen delays, do you know if UNLV offers late enrollment/registration before classes start in Jan? I read online this must be requested through the specific department you are majoring in. Or do I have to wait until this winter or next summer to officially enroll if that applies? As I’m not going to wait until Fall with all this hard work I have done. The advisor wasn't very reassuring, so I'm seeking advice on my options or if any of you have or know someone that went through a similar thing regarding late enrollment before classes.
Anything i can walk to?
