I was driving in southwest Vegas and saw around 10 unmarked cop cars with lights and sirens heading even more west. Seems like they were unmarked SWAT. Anyone know what’s going on?

Sad to say Ono Sushi at South Eastern and Flamingo is closing Saturday Oct 5th.

Came here for a second visit and stuffed our faces on their AYCE deal and we're surprised it was quiet for a Friday night and the waitress told us the news. If you're a fan this your last chance for a great spot on the east side of town.

I have two bakery hunting requests.

First, I need to find a nice traditional Panaderia that makes a great conchas (and maybe some empanadas). I'd really like it to be like shopping in Mexico (so self-serve, with tongs and big plates that I fill with pastry and take to someone to check out).

Second, I need to find a Battenberg. My GF and I were watching GBBO and she said "I've never had one of those" so I would like to find a Battenberg for her (and me, let's be honest, they're tasty).

We're in the Southwest (215 & Rainbow area) so the closer to here the better.

A close friend of mine is looking for a banquet hall or events center to rent for her baby shower in the next couple of months. It would be roughly 50-70 people and we are looking at a budget of roughly $3k or less (if possible). Many of the places we have called have quoted us almost double. Wondering if anyone knows anywhere that may be more friendly to our budget? Preferably within Henderson but also ok with surrounding areas.
