Hi, I plan on applying to this school and I was wondering what it’s like here. What’s the culture like? What are the classes like? Do you have any tips? How bad is 1L?
Anyone taken contracts with Dow? If so what was your experience and what to expect? Any advice?
Is UHCL good for sports lawyers?? Are there any clubs or organizations? Has anyone ever written sports for the university newspaper too?
Does UHLC offer full rides?
i’m applying to UHLC this cycle. i already have a score on file from my previous lsat. i plan to retake it in january. i want to apply before my january lsat, but i was wondering if UHLC would hold my application before that score was released. has anyone dealt with this before, and how did it work?

What the title says, "I just applied ED today. When will I know by?"
Hello everyone, current 1L here. I was wondering how many LinkedIn connections I need to have before applying to big law. I heard 300. I was also wondering what kinds of content I should be posting to make myself look good. I assume that I will be a very competitive candidate once I get my LinkedIn up.
Also in military Kinda dream school since it’s in walking distance from family home but know my lsat and gpa are below median
Are UHLC students considered UH students. Can they use the campus amenities or join standard campus orgs
Do I have a chance at university of Houston law center for part time JD? LSAT: 157 UGPA: 3.65
Please be honest! No hard feelings.
Hello everyone!
I will be in Houston the weekend of October 25th - 27th, and after looking through the event calendar I unfortunately do not see any for the 25th. I wanted to reach out and see if anybody would be comfortable or have the time to do an individual tour of the law school, or if someone could point me in the right direction!
I’d greatly appreciate it! :)
Does UH law center have first year classes on Fridays? What time of day are classes normally?
What are our sections based on? Are we grouped randomly? Asking cause a friend at South Texas said sections were based on LSAT and GPA scores making some sections more competative?
The idea makes me nervy!
Hey everyone!
I am looking at UHLC as my primary option for law school.
170 LSAT
3.4 CAS GPA
2-3 yrs work experience in non-profits and political campaigns
My goal is to work in Houston and I’m pretty drawn to this program due their externships and U.S.-Mexican Legal Center.
Any words of advice?
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering how hard would it be to transfer to UH from Texas southern law school? I was admitted into UH law initially but decided to go to TSU my first year because of a full ride for my first year.
Hi! I’m current student at UHLC about to enter my 2L year. I’m selling my 1L books so if you are taking civil procedure with Professor salib & taking contracts with Professor gebru let me know! If you have any questions about those professors as well send me a DM :)
Stay away from this guy (6ft, 40 y/o, black, bald). Works on the second floor during the evening shift.
I made the mistake of engaging with him in one conversation and now every time I see him he says something snarky to me. Reported him to UH Facilities and they haven't done anything about it yet.
If anyone else has problems with him, I would suggest reporting him to facilities. It's been really frustrating dealing with this guy when I go to school.
I would appreciate if current students give some feedback about the culture. Is it easy to make friends? Additionally, are there a fair amount of KJDs?
Hello!
I’m currently looking for a roommate as I’m an incoming 1L.
I know the Houston area can be pretty dicey as it’s a big city so I’m hoping to room with someone who’s around my age and gender (21 M) and that’s interested in living in areas like the Med Center, Rice Village, Houston heights, and Midtown, as that’s where I’m currently looking for housing.
If anyone is interested please feel free to DM me so we can get to know each other and see if we’ll be a good fit!

Hello I’m a 0L looking into UHLC. I was wondering if there are any conditions for the deposit on April 15th and the registration confirmation form on June 15th. I can’t seem to find anymore information anywhere. Thanks!
Hello, I’m a prospective student to UHLC with some questions.
How many 1L classes can be taken virtually?
Is attendance mandatory/taken for every class?
Thanks so much!
I live in Boston and my husband has an opportunity that is tying him down for another year in Boston.
I was admitted into UHLC and really excited to start in August. Are there any online options to attend from a different state?
Or, is there any other options that y’all are aware of?
hey guys!
I have a couple posts on here and I wanted to ask how a future student could leverage offers at other schools to try to get more scholarship money for UHLC, any insight would be helpful as im sure the sooner I can get this done then the better.
Please let me know by commenting here or sending me a DM!
Thanks!
Hey guys I wanted to start looking at living options in Houston and I was hoping to get some good recommendations for places to live. I was looking for something within like 20 mins of the school and that would be a nice area to live in. Preferably something like a high rise. If you guys can think of anything let me know!
hey all, I recently got accepted into UHLC for law school and im really excited! the only problem is that the scholarship I got was a lot less than I expected ($2,500) I was told UHLC had good financial aid so I was wondering what I could do for them to offer me more money. I havent submitted a fafsa so i think that might be a problem, and i also wanted to know, If i have better scholarships from other schools would it be possible to leverage my scholarships at other schools to try and get more money from UHLC? i did that for my undergrad and it worked so i was just wondering if it would work here as well.
Hi,
I am applying from Maryland and just wanted to ask what UHLC is like. Can someone please give me some advice? Thank you!
Hey guys! So I’m looking at law schools to apply to this fall/winter and I had never really considered UHLC but after seeing their job placement and NALP information I’m very intrigued. I’m planning to go into big law and UHLC has some of the highest numbers I’ve seen in terms of that outside of UT Austin. So my question is what would a student like yourselves recommend me to do? I’m already gonna apply there but I just want advice as to whether the facilities are nice, the financial aid is good and what life is like in Houston.
Also what opportunities are there currently for internships in UHLC and how do they work?
