70 mile round trip, shes doing great for her age. Plenty of life left in her.
Does anything own one? Is it worth it over other bikes in the class? I had a Trident and read it's the same engine.
Happy Halloween to me. But I’m here to talk about it. Alive, will ride again. It could’ve been a lot worse and I’m incredibly thankful for that. Idk what will replace it. The tiger 800 is on the list but that list is long right now. Still not sure if it’s even totaled. I’ll have a better idea middle of next week.
Made the last payment today, and felt like I needed to tell someone. Originally had gone into the dealer to buy a Rebel 500 cash in hand, ended up putting that into this beauty. Now five months and 3k smiles later I can say learning how to ride was possibly one of the best things that I could’ve done all year. Here’s to another year on this beaut!
Also, temperature rises 2 bars below highest, dont know if this is normal, ive already checked radiator fan, works fine, checked fuses and are good, but it doesnt start at middle temperature, is this normal for these bikes or should i check for a faulty sensor or cable??
2025 T120 Graphite/Matt Graphite. Gold Coast, Australia.
Local Harley dealer has a 2022 street twin for 6500 OTD. Has about 9k miles, is this a decent price?
Mostly stock. Viking bags.
My first Triumph. At the age of 47, I decided to get my motorcycle license so I could ride this marvel. Note that l've been riding motorcycles since I was 14, but l've always had 50cc and 125cc bikes and didn't need a license.
Every time I open or close the the throttle there is a clicking noise. I've been told it's a solenoid opening and closing a valve on the air intake and it's only there to pass US emissions. Also that it's quite a common issue. Don't know if that's true. It's only noticeable at low revs but is annoying. It's been doing it since I got it. Has anyone had this issue? Do you think I can just remove it?
Recently i unfortunately hit a deer. Bike was not laid down, and the only damage I know of was cosmetic and a few wires. The bike started up and ran fine for a few days after the accident. I today was the day I was going to take it to the shop, but it decided it wanted to not start. I don't believe it's the battery. The battery is basically brand new and I put it on a tender for a little bit and it says it's fully charged. My only guess would be the starter relay or starter motor?
Just had our first snowfall in MN for the year, might have one or 2 more opportunities to ride after it melts. should have a day or 2 next weekend in the 40s🙏
Hey everyone. I’m coming from a street triple RS 2019 model. Prepped it for backroad twisty road hunting primarily with a mild commuting focus. I’m looking at swapping to a speed twin as a do it all bike. I recently tested a road king and it was great for my uses minus shitty handling compared to what I’m used to and feeling underpowered. I’m looking to use the speed twin as a more efficient version of a road king. Throw on a big screen for touring and commuting, throw on bags for touring and do everything relatively well with more performance and better price than Harley. Would the speed twin fit for my intended use?
Hey 🙋🏼♂️
Merci ✌🏻
Hey, y'all! I've been in the market for a Thruxton R or RS for a while now and have recently come across one that fits what I have been looking for. It's a 2017 Thruxton R with 5,600 miles. I have ridden a 23 Thruxton RS and a much older, 15-ish Thruxton, but that was a while ago. My question is if there are any significant differences between the 23 model year and the 2017 model year. I know the "R" and "RS" perform differently, but am I going to be missing out on an RS with an "R." Also, will I be missing anything significant on a 2017 model compared to the 23 I have recently ridden? Thanks, and I appreciate your input
Looking at just adding one (left side) pannier bag to my Triumph speed 400. Main options I’m looking at are
Both are about $300
Inspired by Ridge Roamer on YouTube, I added the lights to enhance visibility for other drivers. Aesthetically I think it looks pretty rad too.
I own a 22 Tiger 1200 GT. Triumph just announced a recall of the stock rear tire Metzeler Tourance Next 150/70R18 M/C 70V.
The email is German, hence why no screenshot. But it essentially says to not ride the bike anymore with this tire.
Some people might have had accidents because of it.
Just wanted to share.
Edit: 1200
Now, I always thought that it sounded normal, but on a recent visit to my workshop, my mechanic told me that it sounded weird and that it sounded like the clutch could possibly have an issue.
Now I'm paranoid and just wanted to double check with you guys here.
Note: Bike is a 2014 Daytona 675!
Good morning folks, coming back from a 2 hour trip I’ve noticed that my clutch/shifts started to act weird. What I feels to me is that the clutch is not engaging all the way because the gears are really hard to switch and whey they do they give a hard punch. The clutch is not slipping at all and the clutch cable wasn’t touched to. What would you guys check in that case?
