    Hardtek recommendation pls!

Can anyone tell me any good artists, songs or playlists that may be similar to the 6 tracks I have put in this video? It’s fast, full sounding, strong bass, & not cheezy like I find a lot of tekno & frenchcore.

I have explored YouTube, soundcloud, Spotify for weeks, searching for more of this style. The closest I’ve got is looking at old school hard tekno playlists.

Ben 9mm, weasel busters, Distorder, jumpupper etc are my favourite artists so far, I have covered many others but I feel like there’s a load of hardtek still out there that I haven’t found yet

    Thanks!

First Tekno Set with Wazig Soundsystem – Feedback Appreciated!

    Hi everyone!

I’ve been in love with the tekno scene for several years now, and about two years ago, I started DJing as a hobby. Recently, I had the opportunity to join a local soundsystem, Wazig Soundsystem (based in Belgium), and they gave me the chance to play my very first tekno/acid/tribe set for them!

It was an incredible experience, and I’d love for you to check it out. You can find my set on SoundCloud here: Brooxy's Bday - Powered by Wazig Soundsystem.

Feedback is always more than welcome. Let me know what you think!

    chat GPT tekno soundsystem opinion

so basically i asked chat gpt what it would do to build a soundsystem for tekno with a budget of 3000 euro and this is what it said, I would like your opinions if yhis would be good or bad money wise:

    Subs (Bass)

    • DIY option: Build 2 18-inch bass reflex enclosures.
      • Driver: For example, the RCF LF18G401 (~€250 each).
      • Cabinet Design: Use free designs like the G Sub or Punisher Horn (available online).
      • Cost: ~€600-700 total (including wood and hardware).

    Tops (Mid/High)

    • Ready-made: Buy a set like the EV ELX200-12P or JBL EON 612 (~€400 each).
    • DIY option: Build a 12-inch + tweeter combination with drivers such as:
      • B&C 12HPL76 (mid) and DE250 (horn).
      • Cost: ~€250-300 per top (including the enclosure).

    Amplifiers

    • For subs: T.amp TSA 4-700 (€400, good price/quality).
    • For tops: T.amp E800 (€300).

    DSP

    • Behringer DCX2496LE (€200) or DBX DriveRack PA2 (€350).
    • This will help tune your frequencies and protect the speakers.

    Wiring

    • Speaker cables: At least 2.5 mm² (e.g., Cordial CLS225, €2/m).
    • Signal cables: XLR cables (e.g., Cordial, €15-20 each).

    Other Essentials

    • Connectors: Neutrik Speakon (€5-10 each).

    • Wood and paint: Plywood (e.g., 18 mm birch, approx. €100-150 per sub).

    So I like this:

I feel like the different layers of this song have different music genres. Does anyone know where I can fine similar music or sets or what to look for. Thank you :)))

Where does the pumping bassline come from?

Title is self-explanatory - where did pumping tribe get its basslines? Given that it developed around a similar period to newstyle gabber (which exhibits a lot of similar traits - slower tempos, "groovy" sound, more off-beat emphasis) and the more obvious house and nrg influences you can sometimes hear in pumping tribe - for instance - I've always assumed that pumping tribe was similarly informed by hard house. But given that, even in spite of being a broadly anarchist subculture, nobody in the tribe/tekno sphere seems particularly interested in self-documentation, it's hard to find anything that talks about where this element came from. Any oldheads who can confirm or deny whether pumping tribe got its basslines from house (and, if not, clarify where they instead come from)?
