Let's get a discussion going—post your top 10 producers (ranked or unranked) and your favorite track by said producer!
(Unranked)
Joachim Spieth - Annihilatio
Feral - Flare
Massa - The Seed
GSSG - Daggry
Orca Silent - Scent Rolling
Nigm - Primitive Link
Birds ov Paradise - Wanderlust
Doctrina Natura - Il Sogno Del Minotauro
Uun - Mtatsminda
Blovk - Beautiful Limited III
As one can probably tell I very much enjoy a more naturalistic sound that falls in the 123-to 128 BPM range—perhaps minus Mr. Blovk 🧐 When I do get into more peak time stuff, though, my honorable mentions go to Viels, Pyramidal Decode, Cliche Morph, SCHRZØ, Finalversion3, Ket Robinson, Kastil, Peryl...
Just goes to prove that good music is timeless, damn what a banger!

Hi! Anyone been to open ground in wuppertal? Going tomorrow and wondering about the queue. Is it long and do you need to be there before opening? We are coming by train from quite abit away. Thanks!
Is for everybody to stop being damn pretentious and enjoy the damn party...I certainly fall into a more underground style and enjoy the vibe that comes along with that and am not a tiktok techno fan but holy FUCK the way people talk about this divide is so damn pretentious I can't stand it. Look, if I go to a Rrose or Luigi Tozzi or Joachim Spieth or Jeff Mills show, I'm probably going to encounter zero, or VERY few of the tiktok techno ravers, and likewise, no one at a Verknipt or Kobosil show is likely to encounter a techno conscious chin stroker. Obviously I don't think Nico Moreno is anywhere near as good as Tobias, nor do I think they are even near the same genre, but all the damn whining does nothing. Support the music you want to, support the parties you want to, and live and let live. This sub argues more about what techno is than actually discussing techno 😐
Basically the title. I am not saying we need two artists going back and forth on tracks, because that really isn't the Techno culture either. But a similar sentiment of some global shift from the ever increasing popularization, commodification and appropriation of this genre.
For those unfamiliar with the Drake and Kendrick beef, this is not really which side is right or not. But a commentary on the shift in global understanding that Kendrick is the culture and Drake is not. As Drake moved further and further away from the roots of HipHop. It upset some of the more purist artists. Kendrick included. Kendrick was clear about his intentions back in the day on Big Seans - Control.
I could write a whole post on how Kendrick encompasses the culture and Drake doesn't.
Techno does have a culture, it came from mostly underground scenes across Detroit/Chicago and Europe, encompassing unity through the shared musical identity, a safe space for Queer and other marginilized communities, a commentary on the complicated relationship of man, technology and innovation, breaking boundaries not only in its musical composition. But in constrast also a place of strict boundaries bringing us back to the ancient sacred human tradition of dance.
I have no idea what such moment would look like, or what it should look like. My list of techno essentials is also not extensive just some of the core elements so feel free to add to it.
Edit:
If a question gets you this upset then take sometime outside and with friends. Thanks for those engaging with idea of Techno stemming from an underground sub/counter-culture to a mainstream genre proliferated through social medias and how that changes the identity of the music created. Culture and Music have a give and take relationship.
If you chose to not think about music or things in this way thats fine.... But go whine somewhere else.
It seems not that many use it to post sets or have podcasts. Or am I looking at the wrong places. Tip me off on who to follow.
Now listening Chris Liebing CLR 405 from last week and I can highly recommend.
Opens with Johannes Heil Paranoid dancer you know you’re in for fireworks! This guy is brilliant!
