I recently bought a LaserPecker 3 to engrave stuff for friends, family and such as a side hustle but certain materials I am having a hard time engraving such as wood. And by hard time I mean on certain wood it won’t even leave a mark. I was wondering if there’s any products or tricks I can use to help me out with this process or useful information I can use.

I have a particular issue with my phone. It uses type c and every few months i have to switch chargers. The old ones work fine on everything else but they just wont charge my phone anymore. I figured if it was a cord issue it would stop working on all and if its a phone issue a new charger shouldnt solve it. Any ideas on what may have broken? (Its a galaxy a14 if relevant)
Recently got a house with a garage and am In the process of setting up a small sound system to the TV I have in there. This is a 2 car with a pool table and a beer fridge not something crazy fancy. My basic needs are a media device that can play movies and music offline. Any suggestions?
Hi, would it be worth trading my old 4060 gpu for a switch oled. I already have a 4070 super and therefore have no need for the 4060. Is the value to trade for it around the same??
I get about a dozen calls a day now. All from different numbers, but all from the same carrier, Onvoy LLC. If I do answer, usually there's no one there. I'm afraid to say hello because I worry they are recording my voice so they can deep fake it to hack my accounts.
I had a very serious hacking issue about a year and a half ago, which cost me a job I really needed. I reported the intrusion 11 hours after it happened, before IT noticed it, and it never made it past my machine, but they still blamed me. So, I'm kinda paranoid about this shit.
Anyways, is there any way I can block calls from all Onvoy, LLC numbers?
So i have this profile picture with my girlfriend and I accidentally managed to delete it from my camera roll. When I try to download it, it's not the full picture. It's like much smaller. Does anyone have any idea on how I can download the original full size picture?
I am looking for easy and cheap way to store and access notes and pictures across platforms.
Should I go for apple all the way Mac, iPad and iPhone ? Or should I choose something else pay for something like Onenote, Dropbox ect. I produce quit a lot of pictures and notes so cheapest and easiest. I can live with dumping all pictures and notes on to a hard drive every six months or so . But still the lest months I want access by all platforms. What should I go for?
I have found VPNly and PROTON to work very well and they are both log-free Swiss unlimited data VPNs that don’t slow down your device noticeably or at all. Personally i found they aren’t compatible but i switch between them from time to time for extra protection. I mix these with opera VPN built into the opera GX browser and it works like a charm. I definitely recommend.
So my screen protector got broken (long story short my phone hit the corner of a table). I don't have any spare ones at the moment and my phone is old enough to where Walmart doesn't sell screen protectors so I've got some coming in off of Amazon. The damage isn't major, mainly a large chip on the right with some minor cracks leading towards the top and bottom. The damage is mainly visual, I'm not cutting myself on it or anything. Should I take the current one off now or should I just deal with it until the new ones come in?
Hi all! I recently joined a tech community as a volunteer and I'm trying to clean up their Slack community. There are a lot of unused channels, so I'm wondering what kind of conversations would you want to join in a tech community of developers, designers and other tech enthusiasts?
So my laptop won't charge and the light that indicates it's charging isn't coming on. I did buy a new charger and it wasn't that. It hasn't had issues holding charge, or dying before the battery was fully depleted, or anything like that. I don't see any visible debris or anything in the port. If it's impossible to tell from that information that's okay haha I just figured I'd ask on here before I take it somewhere
In your opinion, should I buy https://amzn.eu/d/9ZP6Nti or https://amzn.eu/d/dDZQCtT ?
I've posted this 3 times on r/headphoneadvice with no reply so I hope this works here
I am looking for a new option for headphones. i get overstimulated a lot and use the headphones to compensate but sense they broke i have been using earbuds that don't work nearly as well. I have used the Skullcandy crusher ANC for my last two sets of headphones and both of them broke in less than a year. and even after repairs they still broke with a year of the fix. i really like these but i need something that will last longer. I have gone to BestBuy which is the only tech store close to me besides Walmart and i cant find anything i like besides the Skullcandy. most of the ones I've tried i disliked more for fit than quality because they were on ear or they were over ear but still pressed on my ear. I'd like to retain as many feature as possible but i understand that not everything can be done
I'm located in the united states and I'm a college student. i apologies for not using this format in my last post as i did not know about it. thank you for your time and knowledge
The former “Odace Lighting” app is gone and you guys can use “Smart Light AWOX” instead.
This is specific for the bluetooth only bulb and not for the Wifi ones.
HP Chromebook Touchscreen 11A G8 EE with 16 GB storage reliable and durable. Is that good?
I've been looking for 2 in 1 touchscreen laptops on a budget I've found two that I like. Both have the same exact specs besides two major things.
One of the laptops has 256gb of storage and an Intel core i5. The other laptop has 512gb of storage and an Intel core i3.
I'd be using the laptop primarily for stuff like drawing, 3D LEGO modeling, entertainment, and casual gaming. I'm unsure which laptop's specs best fit my needs and I need help deciding.
I want to gift headphones to my girlfriend, what should I buy? (budget: €100/120)
no gaming headsets or stuff like that beacause she needs them as an everyday object
preferably white
they must be wireless
My school recently threw away two working laptops because they were old and had some viruses and I offered to keep them, but there is a problem: they work but both have dead batteries.
There are two laptops: A "toshiba Satellite Pro c660-19m" and a "lenovo B590"
I have the Toshiba charger, while I don't have the Lenovo one and my school doesn't have it.
Now the question arises: in your opinion, considering that I want to download Linux and use it for my high school studies, is it better for me to buy only the battery for the Toshiba or to buy a battery and charger for the Lenovo?
My indecision is based on which one is more performing and which one is better for me to spend money on or not and I really hope you can help me with this difficult choice :D
I’m a graphic designer and a comic artist, but I have a 10 years old pc, so I need an upgrade. I already found what I need but I’m undecided about the Gpu.
I was thinking to buy a “Gigabyte Rtx 4060 Ti 8gb”. I wanna be clear, I don’t wanna make a gaming computer, I just need to run programs such as Adobe (everyone), Clip studio paint, sketchup.
I’m already buying an Amd ryzen 9 7900 and a 32GB Ram, the last thing I need is the Gpu…
I don’t know if the 4060 is good for what I need, because I only find feedback on gaming, any advice?
Hi, please could someone help me figure out the following setup?
I've got a PS5, an MSI monitor (MSI MAG 27CQ6PF) with display port, HDMI or 3.5mm ports, and a JBL 2.0 soundbar with HDMI ARC or optical outputs.
Connecting the two HDMI ports isn't working! Please tell me if there's a way to get this system working, thank you!
Hey everyone! I had a lot of stickers on my computer (MacBook Air 2020 model) that were directly on the computer and now that I’ve taken them off it’s almost like my computer has “tan lines”. Anyone know how to fix this?
I have Tourettes Syndrome and one of my ticks are my fingers flickering and slamming down on stuff. I click my mouse a LOT and really hard. Are there any mice you would recommend for someone like me? All my mice, although they tend to work, start feeling awful and making sounds like their full of sand or something. Like this scratchy noise and every time I buy a new mouse, it takes no time reaching this state of abuse. My fingers are only getting stronger as I get older and I fear I'm going to break one of these soon
Basically what the caption says, I have a Macbook Air 2020 M1 Chip and it's my primary advice for school and home, I'm about to start university and it's been acting up lately.
Getting super hot from minimal use, very slow loading, laggy etc. I don't have the funds to buy a new device, so im basically looking for any advice to ensure my macbook lasts? and to improve its slow performance??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
It started doing this randomly
Hi, first post here so if this is the wrong sub please redirect me to the right one and I will be on my way, thanks.
Looking for a portable power bank for cell phones and other small electronics. Saw one from Chubby Cable but have heard their charging cables may be meh in terms of quality. Was wondering if anyone had good suggestions.
Thanks.
