Any suggestions for a budget speaker that doesn’t require me to deal with glue to replace the battery or something? Sick of having (even expensive) speaker that break and that’s just IT.
How loud can I play the JBL PartyBox 110 with bass boost 1 but at the same time without the drivers being damaged?
So currently I have Bose speakers in my Nissan maxima it came with them but now I’m looking for something even better any recommendations I want really good quality
Hi everyone, I'm currently looking for a decent replacement fot my worn out Anker SoundCore 2 that I've been using primarily for audiobooks and as an extra speaker for a set of devices.
Purpose: Primary: audiobooks Secondary: side-speaker that I could connect to any hardware with 3,5mm jack when other hardware is not available.
Absolutely need:
Nice to have:
Budget: up to 300$, but 100-200$ range preferred. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Anybody knows the usable frequency response of this speaker? Can it go down to the 40hz range? The official website is no help as it mentions noting about frequency response in the technical specifications page (so much for "technical specifications") best buy currently has it for 130$ and after seeing flossy carter's review on it i must say I'm kinda impressed.
Debating whether or not to get it.
Hey lads, I hope you guys are doing just fine!
So I've got myself a Motion Boom, and I'm looking for some nice custom EQ for it. I'll prefer a neutral or warm sound, but I'm happy with any other sound signature as long as they're done good. It does seem like the speaker has a little treble peak, so a brighter sound would be a bit hard. I wish they gave it a fabric grill.
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to buy a new Bluetooth speaker and could use some advice from those in the know. I've had a JBL Flip 4 for about three years now. It was okay, but it's starting to crackle and the battery life is down to about 10 minutes. I need something reliable and long-lasting.
My budget is around $150-220. I don't care much about aesthetics, materials, or special features like LEDs or party modes. My primary concerns are:
Sound Quality: I want the best possible sound quality within my budget.
Lifespan: It should last a good amount of time before the battery degrades or any other issues arise.
Battery Life: A decent battery life would be great.
I'll be using it mostly indoors and I don't need special lighting or extreme bass. A nice, classy look would be a plus, but I'm willing to sacrifice that for the priorities listed above.
Thanks in advance for your help and expertise!
Hello Partypeople, the title basically says it all. I own a WKing X10, which was my first 'big' bluetooth speaker and i must say that i enjoy it a lot. But for this party-season i am flirting with buying a same sized-ish speaker with more power and bass. Any recommrndations? Price up to 250¥£$€
two specific questions: 1 Is the Soundcore Boom 2 noticeable better than the WKing X10? 2 Is the Tribit Stormbox Blast much better than the Soundcore Boom 2? [i know it's bigger]
So I've been going through and finalizing my first rounds of measurements for some Bluetooth speakers I've got around the showroom, and the stormbox blast is troubling me. Across 3 different units, when playing test tones, there is a clear, loud, almost electric-car type sound coming through the speaker when in the lower register, that turns into what I can only call the craziest phase rotation effect I've ever heard up in the tweeters 5k+ register, along with a LOUD mechanical buzz around 700hz-100hz. If I can get a mic to pick it up over the main track, I will post video. Quite disconcerting hearing all this electronic noise coming from what is otherwise a pretty awesome speaker. More testing required, will be back soon.
Having a really hard time deciding.
Are two Motion 300’s better than one Motion Boom +?
Found these prices as of the time of writing:
Motion 300 - $64 (Amazon) Wonderboom 3 - $69 (Amazon) Motion Boom Plus - $124 (Anker via Costco Next)
Anything better than a JBL Xtreme 3 for $230 (currently on sale)???
I’m not looking for the best value. I know that the stormbox blast and many others get recommended often over more well known JBL, Sony, Bose, etc type speakers and it sounds like they definitely do hold their own..
But when it comes down purely to high quality sound, clear mids and highs, accurate deep bass, just overall sound quality; What is the best portable Bluetooth speaker for under $300?
I mainly listen to edm, more specifically bass music. More specifically, music made for sound systems; artists like Tipper, Detox Unit, Jade Cicada. I also assume that a stereo speaker will be much better for more complex music than a mono speaker so ideally I’ll be needing a stereo speaker. Currently, the JBL Xtreme 3 is what I’m looking into. It’s normally $400 but is on sale for $230 until tomorrow.
For $230 is the JBL Extreme 3 the best I can get? Or is there something better at a similar price?
Edit: OR I could get a refurbished JBL Boombox 2 for the exact same price as the Xtreme 3???
Hey! First time poster here! I am having a party in august and am in need of a bluetooth speaker that will be loud enough to play music in a fairly large back yard! Bluetooth OR USB is OK. Looking to spend $200 or less if possible
From what I understand, some people prefer to use a walkman or other portable MP3 player over the built in one in the cellphone because of the better DAC in the dedicated player.
However, if you also use bluetooth earbuds/headphones (which most high-end MP3 players ironically allow), then wouldn't that negate the advantage of using the dedicated MP3 player vs just using your smartphone in the first place since now you are using the bluetooth DAC instead?
In fact, wouldn't that really make portable MP3 players, if not obsolete, then at least much less useful because you might as well get one pair of really good bluetooth earbuds/headphones that you can use with any bluetooth player?
Or is this not correct, i.e either the MP3 player still uses its own DAC or has other benefits besides the DAC?
Holy hell this sounds good. Wide soundstage, relatively clear stereo separation despite its size, crisp audio, and pronounced bass. Definitely sounds 2-3 sizes bigger than it actually is, and blows the flex away.
At $400 it’s a luxury purchase, but in my opinion worth the money. While it obviously can’t compete with my home theater sound system, damn am I impressed.
Only one complaint. It’s simplesync compatible, however when connected to my Bose Portable Home Speaker, the Max audibly crackles. Range doesn’t impact this, so I’m hoping it’s a software issue.
I am planning to buy a Bluetooth speaker which I want to use for:
I was considering buying a Bose Soundlink Revolve 2 since I've seen some people use that (INR 25-30k / USD 300-361) but it's obviously very expensive.
Based on some quick Amazon search, the other options:
I have never heard these speakers personally and needed advice on two fronts:
I am based out of India. Thanks in advance!
Longtime lurker - here always checking the advancements of Bluetooth speaker tech.
One thing I've noticed over the years is the user u/obvious-bird-3588 posting hundreds, if not, thousands of times to his Ranking Bluetooth Speakers list
Which, is fine. Except...
His list is a gateway to his website which is just an affiliate link mine.
Go check their comment history - literally thousands of posts linking to his website.
To add to that, I think their rankings kind of suck
First, they only have proof of owning a few of these speakers. How the heck can you make a definitive list of 300+ speakers and own less than a dozen types??
They even created their own subreddit to act as a link farm to their website, again, to cash in on those $$ juicy Amazon commissions
Notice how their links ONLY go to Amazon, and not the manufacturers website?
Clearly, as a web developer and affiliate marketer myself, I very evidently see the obvious motivation for placing thousands of links. NONE of their info is on Reddit, they make you go to their website and click their links so they make $$ affiliate revenue.
At least make your rankings in plaintext on Reddit for everyone to see for free and no reward behind it...
Even then, as a massive audiophile with over a hundred speakers owned in the last decade, I strongly disagree with MANY of these positions and rankings.
How the HECK can someone claim to be the master of all the speakers, when they don't even own a fraction of what they speak of, and use YouTube comparisons as reference?
Honestly, it's kind of genius - use public info from Youtube, Rtings, and other top lists, compile it to a website, spread your links across thousands of posts, and earn $$ thousands per month. It's excellent Google SEO (search engine optimization) manipulation and anyone who knows much about internet marking will say it's brilliant
I wonder if they'll disclose their affiliate relationship & earnings to us.. I think some affiliate linking is fine for spending a long time compiling a free public list, but this is just insane.
Anyways, just wanted to chime in and ping the mod u/SeaJelly17 to investigate this a little bit. I see the $$ cash flow incentive of the u/obvious-bird-3588 postings, and think affiliate linking to this degree is egregious.
Edit: Even Alan Ross chiming in to say he hasn't been benefitted at all, even if his hard work & data is being monetised heavily by others. Unfortunate...
Like many here, I have multiple Bluetooth speakers. I have different uses for them and so form factor matters.
I have a pair that sits below my computer monitor. I like that they can stand vertically so they don't take a lot of space. I also have them paired TWS.
Besides that I have some compact speakers that I like to carry around, I have larger ones that I like for bass and I have ones with handles since they're easier to carry.
How about you? Do you have different Bluetooth speakers for different usage? For me, it's a given that the sound quality is decent.
Edit - changed stand horizontally to stand vertically.
I use both earbuds and headphones on both phone and laptop...Headphones are multipoint and they connect to whatever device that is playing a sound (either phone or laptop). But today i realised that whatever i connect to my phone it sounds bad, when on the laptop is normal...Connecting to both phone and laptop now makes headphones not make sound at all.Have in mind that it happens when i connect to phone and not laptop...So as much as I can tell its something due to phone...Does anyone know what i should do?
HI, i'm currently looking to purchase something under 70-80$ range, my options at the moment are jbl clip 5, sony xb100, Tribit max sound plus 2. I am really torn between these, i myself am thinking about the sony xb100 but the reviews and others tell me the sound isn't really sufficient. The JBL clip 5 is literally my last choice to be very honest. TheJBL costs me about 67$usd, the sony is costing me about 49$usd and the soundcore is costing me about 45$ I cannot extend my budget. Appreciate anyones help, thanks.
I've had the motion boom for like a month now and I've noticed some distortion which sounds like vibrations in the voices and instruments on higher volumes (above 50%) when using it outside in warmer temps (not even in the sun). Is this a common issue?
I know the motion boom plus had a issue where the inside air would expand and cause distortion. I feel like it's similar to this, because if I leave the charging flap open for some time it goes away, but I don't want to do this every time the temperature changes a little bit. Is this a case for warranty?
Hi all,
I am thinking of buying a Soundboks Go, however I notice the Everse 8 PA speaker is actually battery powered, has Bluetooth connectivity and a lot more features then the Soundboks Go and it’s about the same price.
I know these speakers are for two different purposes but I was curious if anybody knows which one sounds better? I can’t find any comparisons online.
Thank you.
Hi,
I recentliy decided to built a mobile "rig" for bass practice. The Pre amp should bring a compressor and should be very small. The "Amp and Cabinet" should be powerfull enough to practise outside AND have low latency. Since I commonly play quite technical stuff on Bass, low latency is a key feature in the whole Setup for me
Boss Katana
Speaking of the later, I tested a bunch of different "callibers" and evolution cycles of ANKER Speakers. Long story short, here are the aux-chain-latency (with Boss Katana in chain!) and Power/Volume results:
I will report once I have tested the Boom Plus
Need the clarity but don’t want to sacrifice on the bass. Watched too many reviews and ranking, please tell me do I have to sacrifice the bass on the earfun as compared to other models here? Which is my safest bet?
The question is basically in the title. I have a laptop with an external monitor and have decided to buy speaker/s. I have checked speakerranking website and from the list have decided to buy Motion 300. Deciding factors were portability, the ability to connect to 2 devices at once, a good battery, and good sound. I don't bother much with sound quality as long as I can hear the song/movie well enough. The only thing that bothers me is a big latency. I know Motion 300 has some latency, but from reviews, it doesn't seem big.
I want to use speaker/s mostly when lying on the couch and watching movies on the laptop, with occasional music or taking to the office for webinars. Is the stereo sound of 2 speakers worth the extra money (one is currently 60€ on amazon) in my case or not? Does it make the experience of watching a movie better enough to justify it? Basically, I don't want to buy 2 just to have one stored on the shelf because there isn't a big enough difference.
Also, if you have a suggestion for another speaker/pair of speakers that would be better (in a similar price range and portable), I'm open to suggestions.
Thank you :)
I need a replacement for my boom2 and I don't think the boom3 is nice. So I'm looking for the best speaker which has remote power on.
Hey guys!
I have a Blitzwolf BW-WA3 and last time I wanted to charge it, it started to act rather strangely. It shows that it starts charging (red light) and after 2-3 seconds, the red light starts to blink rapidly. I think I did everything that I could think of, I'd love to have a someone, who knows more than me give me some advice, that what could I do. I wouldn't want to go to a shop to fix it, I'm hoping it's not that serious. Thanks!

what's better in term of louder sound between x10 and soundcore motion boom 2? I need one of these for an outdoor use, are they good for party with a maximum of 10 people?
What means up to 6 months? in 6 months it will wear out and start to sound distorted or something?
6 months i can use on max volume before it gets blown out?
