Got a brand new UE Boom 4 for my birthday as my Boom 3’s battery died. But when starting it up and connecting my phone/playing music there is this annoying static noise.
I took it back and the guy at office works (I’m in Australia) verified it was faulty.
I got a new one and it has the exact same problem ://
Has anyone else had this problem? Or is the branch of office works near where I live, just stocked with faulty ones.. can’t find many people with this problem.
My husband has been asking for a Bluetooth speaker for years. I know he for sure wants it for when he makes pizza/grills outside, and for working in the garage.
While I know there are many options, my husband is a pretty big speaker aficionado. I've been putting off the purchase because I'm afraid I'll mess it up. He always adds subs to his cars and changes their sound system, and is so proud of the sound system he has for our TV. He got the Song XM4 headphones when they came out and he can't travel without them.
I've asked him many times to pick out a Bluetooth speaker, but he says he doesn't care - very off brand for him and his audio devices. Also, note that he is deaf in one ear.
He gave me a budget of $100, but I am willing to spend a little more.
So far I've contemplated JBL, Bose Flex, different soundcore. I am overwhelmed!
What do I buy for this man that "doesn't care" about the speaker but certainly cares about his audio?
My friends and I like to go tubing on the river and need a loud waterproof speaker, previously we’ve been using a JBL charge 5 but it is a little too quiet for our liking, any suggestions on something louder that wouldn’t break the bank?
In 2017, I bought a Sony h.ear go Bluetooth Wireless Speaker with Wi-Fi and I LOVED that thing because it would hold charge when powered OFF. It kicked the bucket 5 years later due to its rough life in the road. A while later, I bought a portable Sonos speaker thinking “it’s Sonos; it’s got to be good!” Well I hate that thing so much. First of all, the UX is miserable. I feel like I need to be an expert in signalling in order to use it. But what irks me the most is that - even when it’s off (all lights on that thing are not ON - it loses charge so the next time I go to turn it off, it’s dead!
So here I am looking for something that puts out a decent sound but that will keep its charge so that if I only use it 1x a week, I don’t have to remember to plug it in before I use it. TIA!
Hallo to everybody. After got my couple of partybox 120, I noticed that one of my unit emit the already famous "static pop" (it is difficult to describe but it similar to a snall pop] at about 50% of volume. The speakers are paired with my S24 Ultra and it is always connected to the mains. The issue occurs aven if the speaker is not paired in tws with the other unit. Does someone fixed this issue in some way? I already wrote to JBL support and I'm waiting for their reply.
got it at goodwill , and it works well, but the ready to pair and pair announcement is a digitized asian woman that is so loud its scarry. Also maybe these Beats Pill xl speakers have some collectors value. They have a micro usb charging port and a big B button on the front, that is how you turn it on, they also have a big handle that you can put your hand through.
Hi there,
I want to ask this before I go all in.
I'm looking for a low-latency option for my Surface Pro. The aux port on my Surface Pro is broken :(
I was using an aptX creative w2 low latency USB adapter to an Avantree Torpedo Plus this worked perfectly. But my Avantree stopped working :(. Video latency was good lip sync was perfect minimal latency with aptx LL
I have read on this subreddit that the aux port on the Anker Soundcore Motion+ has nearly zero latency.
I am considering using the Anker Soundcore Motion+ with a Ugreen Bluetooth 5.3 aptX transmitter, connecting the Included Ugreen 3.5mm adapter to the Soundcore Motion+'s AUX port. Using aptX Adaptive
Hopefully, the video and lip sync will be in sync or similar to my Avantree Torpedo Plus old Setup.
It seems Aptx has been succeeded by Aptx Adaptive.
I am wondering if you think my plan will work.
If you have any other options, I would be very grateful.
If anyone knows where to buy an Avantree Torpedo Plus let me know I miss it lol shipping to New Zealand
Hi, i had few BT speaker in my life ;( and had no experience neither with the JBL , nor with Teufel. The main factor of my choice is the sound quality. Concluding from what i read both speakers are technically Hi-fi and have neutral sound signature. But what of these has better sound clarity without crispy highs or mids and the best extension.
I’ve been watching some videos about these speakers and they seem very intriguing no mention of a ipx rating I watched one video about updating them and it seemed to be a very archaic process. Anybody have these or know more about them? Thanks
I bought this speaker due to how well is the reviews and comments. While basses are better, the overall sound quality is worse than my macbook pro's (2022) speaker. Especially the voice (for example the singer's voice) sounds quite muffled. I started to think if it's a replica at this point but i don't think not.
I'm curious about what is your opinion?
Usually I was not caring much about sound quality but this laptop's speakers astonished me with how clear they were, therefore I wanted to buy a good quality bluetooth speaker but it seems inferior to the macbooks.
I am looking for some low latency portable speakers that I will mostly use with a computer (Intel AX210 card with BT 5.3). Yes, I know latency will always happen with any Bluetooth connection.
However, I currently use an old speaker that I got as a promotional gift at some fair around 2017 and it has a latency of only around 150 ms (measured through https://nullvoxpopuli.github.io/latency-tester/), which is fine even for mediocre gaming and produces acceptable lip-sync (and yes, I am picky about this!). Also my 12 years old Panasonic BT headphones don't really have any noticeable sync issues.
Now I didn't like the quality of the speaker that much and somehow it developed connection issues. So I tried to upgrade. I ordered a few speakers on Amazon: Soundcore Mini 3, Notabrick Kibe, and some other generic brand.
What can I say: the latency on all of these is abysmal! Yes, I made sure to not use stereo mode, partycast or whatever. I spun up Google and found that nearly everyone expects at least 200 ms of latency over Bluetooth. How come my old speakers performed so much better?
Why are there no modern BT speakers with sub-200 ms latency?
Edit: this is the cheap speaker with low latency I am talking about: https://www.planetpromo.eu/de/MO8726-05.html

Can anyone tell me if this website is part of Anker Soundcore? I just don't want to be scammed.
thank you all
anyhelp would be great
I have a 1st gen Amazon Alexa and it's quite annoying that you need to set up an app to interact with it, but I admit that the sound is pretty good.
Does anyone know any regular, non-smart bluetooth speakers of a similar size and quality?
Me compre unos audifonos realme buds air 6 pro (unos 80 USD) pero son version china y mi duda es si realmente son orginales, ya que busque en aliexpress si habia y pues si, incluso en menor precio ¿Como podria saber si mis audifonos son originales?
So there’s a lot of hype/suggestions for speakers like the uboom x, the soundcore boom 2, the ultimate ears hyper boom, and some of the “affordable and mid-size” bluetooth speakers. Most of them seem to allow pairing for TWS, but my question is this:
Do any of them stay on and synced for TWS at all times if I had 2 of them and kept them plugged in at all times? Meaning, they don’t automatically shut off once they haven’t been played for a while so I have to manually turn them both on if I had 2 of them? Or, at the very least any that have an app to turn on/off the units?
If not, should I just consider getting some sort of amp/speaker combo?
Any suggestions for a unit that will just stay on at all times like how an Amazon echo does? Would like to stay under $500ish for the pair. Want something with decent bass for living room listening. It will strictly be for listening to Bluetooth music.
Hey everyone! I'm looking for a small to medium-sized speaker with a budget of around $150. I was considering the Soundcore Boom 2, but I'm open to other suggestions.Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Looking to upgrade from Echo 3rd Gen and want to treat myself. Budget is £250ish, doesn't need to be portable, does need to be good for all music genres, would like the ability to possibly go multi room at some point. Currently torn between Sonos era 100 and Audiopro C10, any pros and cons that might sway me ? Or other recommendations ? Currently using Spotify but may switch to Tidal in the next month or 2.
I am a music affectionate and listen to a lot of classical, Rock music. Till now I was happy with a simple earphone or a small JBL flip 4 speaker. But now i am thinking of buying swans bookshelf speakers and suddenly the words like subwoofer, amplifier, 53 hz are hitting me of which I know nothing (John snow).
Please guide me through it.
I upgraded my Soundlink Flex to a Soundlink Max and I'm surprised how loud of a white noise the Max produces while not playing music. I still hear it 1 m away. The flex is pretty much silent with the music off. Can't hear it at all. Is there such a major difference between those two models because of the size or is my unit faulty?
I was looking for a good, low volume speaker to keep in my office for background listening. Came across this sub and narrowed it down to these three options after reading some posts so I wanted to share my experience as an average listener in case anyone's considering them for a similar use-case.
The speakers were compared only on lower volumes (under 25%) and were positioned to the right of my monitor with the back 3-4 inches from a wall. Also, I know I like a v-shaped sound based on my preferred headphones (Airpods Pro 2s, Letshour S12 Pros).
Sonos Move 2 The most expensive option of the three (Amazon Resale for $369) but really excellent sound. Everything felt well tuned. The portability was nice and it's a safe (boring), modern design. Setup in the Sonos app was a little frustrating but worked really well via Airplay once setup. Only other gripe is there's a couple of second delay when starting/stopping/changing music but not really a problem for background listening.
Klipsch One Plus The cheapest option of the three ($164 Amazon) but everything sounded muddy in comparison to the other two even after using the limited EQ within the app. It has that faux midcentury modern design from a few years ago that feels inoffensive but also a little dated/cheap. This could be nice if you're already in the Klipsch ecosystem though since the Broadcast feature lets you play music across multiple Klipsch speakers for a fraction of the cost of the Sonos ecosystem. Okay at most things, but not really great at anything.
Marshall Acton III Slightly more expensive than the Klipsch One Plus ($188 Amazon Resale). Really liked the sound straight out of the box and I've seen others describe it as feeling more like a live performance which I'd agree with. The design is iconic and I love the manual controls at the top which means you won't need an app for anything besides the Placement Compensation initially. Biggest issue for me though was that there's a persistent speaker hiss.
Verdict: Planning on keeping the Acton III. The overall experience of using it has been really enjoyable from the great sound to the manual controls to the look. It melts into the background if I'm playing Spotify while working but is also really fun to pair with my turntable to ham up the retro experience.
The Move 2 was by far the best speaker of the three but ultimately, I think it was too good and made me want to focus on the music rather than just letting it melt into the background. The Klipsch sound and design didn't agree with me at all however someone posted earlier that they were on clearance at Target so might be the best for buck if you can get a deal.
Anybody know some options? Looking for anything with the best bass and battery life before I buy another TPyesss speaker.
Hi, i have 2 select 4 go and paired them as advertised they can go into TWS mode.
However both only plays the right channel, do anyone know how to seperate the left and right channel for each speaker? Thanks!
