Rules
Follow Reddiquette. Be respectful & civil even when you disagree with others. Keep discussions focused on what you think about someone's opinion and not on what you think about the person who has the opinion.
All posts must be flaired with the relevant season or content group. It only takes a few extra clicks/taps to do this and will make sure discussions are labeled appropriately. This prevents the post submitter from being spoiled AND prevents commenters from spoiling someone by discussing a future event.
All submitted content must be directly related to the TV show Supernatural; meaning this subreddit is not for sharing personal experiences with the supernatural. Please refer to this post for our policy on actors and their other works. This also includes songs, items, creatures, and other topics featured on Supernatural that appear in other forms of media in a way that is unrelated to the show, and random things found "out in the wild" that inadvertently remind you of Supernatural (like a picture of black smoke or an Impala you spotted on the highway). These objects can appear during normal day-to-day, but they need to appear in a context related to that object's appearance in the show for it to be relevant. Additionally, posts that are critical of the interpersonal relationships between the actors and/or the toxicity of their respective fanbases are unrelated to Supernatural and should instead be posted on that specific actor's subreddit, which are listed below in the "recommended" section. Posts about the actors that the mods have deemed inflammatory and will likely cause a strong negative reaction from the subreddit community based on prior experiences with similar post topics will also be removed at the moderator's discretion. It's nothing personal; this is a subreddit full of passionate people, and these posts tend to explode into chaos/arguments and end up being removed by the moderators, anyway.
No piracy. This includes torrent websites and third-party websites that sell ripped-off Supernatural merch. If any of these merch scam posts appear, please report them as soon as possible to flag them for moderator review.
Low-quality & low-effort content will be removed at the discretion of the mods. This includes but is not limited to: simple screenshots/videos/gifs of scenes, polls and surveys, subreddit games (i.e., "one sentence only this fandom would understand", or elimination games), tier rankings, "this or that" comparisons, unpopular opinion posts, and posts that are instigative, inflammatory, or aggressive in nature, including posts focused solely on negativity/hate that do not generate a constructive discussion. This also includes posts regarding the multiple instances of sexual assault that have been alluded to on the show, as they are triggering for community members and have already been discussed to death. Memes may be allowed if they generate sufficient discussion (measured in comments, not upvotes), but not if it doesn't contain images from Supernatural. Meme trends are NOT allowed. These are posts that make the rounds in every fandom subreddit as well as on social media such as Facebook. They usually include an image of some sort (one person vs a crowd, Flynn from Tangled with knives at his throat, a 9-square grid to be filled with things like "the fan favorite", "made to be hated", "the hot one" and so on), often have a low-effort title ("go", "let's see", etc.), and require little to no effort overall from the OP (doesn't offer any thoughts, opinions, or guidelines of their own to help encourage discussion).
AI-generated content is not allowed on the subreddit. We originally classified these posts under the low-effort/low-quality content rule, but due to the rapidly increasing popularity of these programs, it has now been separated into its own rule. Examples include but are not limited to images created with programs like Midjourney or DALL-E, as well as scripts/fanfiction created by text-based programs like ChatGPT. A lot of these AI content generation programs use internet databases of images and writing to create their libraries and do not provide any credit or compensation to the original creators for what they use.
No reposts/common topics. Please use the subreddit search feature and check pinned announcement posts for recent news/events being discussed and for recurring topics that have been discussed recently or at some point in the past. Also, this subreddit is not Google, so please utilize the Supernatural Wiki and other search engines to answer simple questions.

Please condense multiple photos into one album and one post.
Spoilers Policy: A. Any and all content relating to a specific season must be given that season's flair; do not flair it "News/Misc" or "Fanworks". B. No spoilers of ANY seasons or episodes are allowed in post titles, however no-context title spoilers are allowed ONLY if they do not give specific context for the topic being discussed (i.e., making a post about soulless Sam is allowed as long as the title does not provide information about why or how he became soulless). Hi there. Just wondering if there's any kiwi fans in here that can tell me where I can watch all seasons for free. Much appreciated
My wife contacted Jensen Acles on Facebook. He asked her to go to TELEGRAM and the they texted via whatsapp.
she was contacted by his bookingbureau and was told that she must pay to talk to him. He send a selfie so that she could se that it was him. Then she transfered 500 + 700 kr. to get a videocall. It didnot work so he made her send the same amounts again. She now did that 3 times more and she sayes that she had takkes to her twice on videocall.
Now she payed 3.000 danish kroner to be a indercirkel member. And today I Saw on our bankaccount that she send additional 2.000 kr. She says she is paying to be a VIP-member. Now she has send more that 10.000 kr. which is about 1500 USD. in just 2 weeks, which of cause is crazy. To pay she had to send the money in bitcoins.
I said from the start that she was scammed but she is sure he is for real. She text with him several time a day and often for hours.
I think JA has better thing to do with his time and I dont think he will do that to a fan.
Have you ever heared of something like this? I seem to fail in talking reason to her.
What do you think??
SAM WAS LIED TOO?!?! WHAT THE FUCK?! HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO OPEN THE SEAL?! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I love Demon Dean, but nobody talks to Baby like that :(
I’ve always been a little unclear what is both necessary and sufficient for a supernatural creature to qualify as a ‘monster’ in the technical sense in Supernatural. For the purposes of this post, I’m going to just stipulate that ending up in Purgatory after death means that you’re a ‘monster’.
We know that all the creatures that descend from either Eve or the leviathans qualify, but there are a number of other ‘monstrous’ creatures in the show’s history that may or may not technically qualify. One early example are wendigos. Colloquially these are clearly ‘monsters’, but technically they are just humans who became mutated by cannibalism. Are they ‘monsters’ in the technical sense?
Another questionable example are Soul Eaters, who again are ‘monsters’ in the colloquial sense, but seem to plausibly be in their own possibly unique category of supernatural beings, and seem to have little in common with the descendants of Eve beyond the desire to prey on humans, albeit on human souls rather than human flesh. Other examples would be the Pagan gods and that species Chuck created out of spite whose name currently eludes me who showed up in The Winchesters.
Sam vs dean made me sob and now Sam is going through a lot and dean gave up on Sam I can’t keep doing this 😭😭😭😭😭😭💀
So I’m doing another rewatch and there are a bunch of things I’ve noticed that they show in season one that end up changing later on and I find it really interesting. And before anyone says anything about the amount of plot holes and inconsistencies, I already know, but it’s still fun to point out.
So far, I noticed that multiple people said ‘either they’re a demon or they’re possessed by one’, which leads me to wonder what exactly that means, and how there can be a demon topside if it’s not possessing someone?
I also saw that when vampires were first introduced, they made a point of showing their eyes change and shine or reflect? And John says that they look human and you wouldn’t be able to tell until it’s too late, but I wonder if they were trialing the idea of adding that extra feature of their eyes being different along with the other changes? I think it would’ve been a cool little tidbit.
Then there’s also Sam and his demon blood abilities. I’ve already asked about it in a seperate post, but there was always the change with Sam having abilities and then not after Cas pulls him from hell, but I’ve noticed that there was the one time that Sam was able to use his abilities to move the shelf from in front of the cupboard, and I understand him not embracing the powers and growing them in the beginning, but after he starts training with Ruby and drinking demon blood to strengthen his powers, how does he not develop other abilities too? That’s what whathisface that killed him said would happen if he embraced it, and he obviously didn’t have someone training him like Ruby did and it was insinuated that it just comes naturally, and Sammy absolutely does embrace it, but his abilities stay very limited so I’m confused.
Anyway, those are just things that I’ve noticed that stood out to me so far that I thought were interesting. If anyone else has any other ones then let me know please.
Why is there so many deaths? Like when finding cases they will notice like 3 other people died the same way years ago and no one thought it was a pattern but them? Im not bother or anything but weird deaths r so damn common in this show apparently
As the title says, I finally, FINALLY, got my husband to watch Supernatural! He kept asking me to watch a certain show, but I would tell him not until he watches Supernatural. I told him that I would watch Outer Banks if he got passed season 3 of Supernatural. He's on season 9 now, and he's hooked.
Brothers until the end 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I have 10 minutes left they are hunters
“Sex and Violence” - The one with the siren that transforms into strippers to get husband to kill their wives.
Rewatching the show again and surprising remembered little about this episode. I thought it was really good with its twists that make you think the siren is Cara and then it’s actually Nick, but the ending just didn’t make sense.
So after Sam comes back to the motel Dean is about to kill Sam but then the siren spit in Sam’s mouth to put him under its spell. That seemed weird to me but I guess he just wanted them to fight for each other but why would Sam be under its spell. The siren was portraying persona of Nick who was everything Dean wanted as a brother so why would Sam fight for him?
That already felt off and then right when Dean is about to kill Sam, Bobby comes out of nowhere at the perfect time to stop him and cost a knife in Dean’s blood to kill the siren. This just felt like total cop out to kill the siren.
I know this show isn’t perfect with how the characters always plot armor but with all of it together it completely lost me. Anyways really good episode till the ending. What are y’all’s thoughts?
Me personally I feel like the series should’ve ended on S15 Ep19. The way all the flashbacks played it would’ve been such a more satisfying ending in my opinion.
Sorry if this has been asked here before, I’m new to Reddit and couldn’t find anything when searching online. I’m just finished season 7 episode 6 (Slash Fiction) of supernatural and I was wondering, do leviathan see every memory you’re making while they are you or just the memories you had when they first touched you? Because none of the leviathan touched Dean after he had killed Amy yet the one pretending to be him told Sam about that happening.
Dean and castiel? Nah, I ship Castiel and Crowley.
On a maybe tenth rewatch of the entire series I've just watched "Baby" and I thought that the most supernatural thing in Supernatural is not the monsters, biblical creatures or apocalyptic events, but actually how Dean always repairs Baby! It doesn't matter what happens to that damn (<3) car, it's always as good as new on the next time we see it.
In the first season, they encounter a demon. No big deal. In a later season, they encounter an angel and are confused about their existence. Why? Demons come from Hell. Hell is run by a fallen angel. So why the confusion about the existence of angels?
God is in the show. Lucifer is in the show. Other known angels are in the show. Where's Jesus?
I'm curious if this is lazy writing or just a plot device. In season 5 Sam did a herculean amount of effort just to take control of his body and throw himself in the cage with lucifer in his body, but in season 14 Dean managed to trap Michael inside his head. I'm willing to accept that but since Michael was in his body trapped in his mind, why didn't they just extracted his grace like they did with Castiel, Lucifer or Jack with that man of letters needle and just gave Michael grace go jack, and since Michael would become weaker withou his grace Dean would cast him out right?
I mean there's wasn't really a mention of them afaik, Michael said they locked away death but idk what happened to the pagan gods. U could just say the were wiped out but if a bunch of monsters, demons and even some humans survived, why wouldn't any of the gods be able to. On season 14 rn so sorry if gets answered later but Michael dead so doubt it.
Do yall think they should reboot Supernatural but instead of making it live action to just make it an animated series like the other one. I feel like this way they could do a lot more without having to worry about budget and CGI not be up to par. This way they could actually do what they want without being held back. We could get a lot more crazy fights like Cas actually showing off what he could do along with other powerful beings.
Hey guys!
I randomly remembered that as a kid I used to be obssessed with a Supernatural edit on youtube. It mostly contained scenes of super early Supernatural, like the first season. I used to love the song that they used although it creeped me out lol. Does anyone have the link to that video? Or at least the name of the song? Please I’m desperate for nostalgia lol
I'm rewatching and I just want to say that I love when Crowley calls Sam "Moose" 😂😂🥰🥰 I forgot how much I love their relationship
I know we all have our own ideas of what is In Character but was there something that stuck out to you during the series that you felt like wasn't true to the character? I'm thinking primarily regarding Sam and/or Dean but this goes for anyone. If I ever went to a SPN convention, this would be my question for the actors.
For me, the Amelia/Sam storyline felt out of sorts particularly with leaving Kevin. Sam's issues with Benny always rubbed me the wrong way, particularly when Sam was usually the advocate for "they aren't just monsters."
For Dean, it would the episode "Heaven Can't Wait" where he meets with Human!Cas. I just felt like he was completely tone-deaf and kind of a jerk about the struggles Cas was dealing with as a new human. I was never a huge fan of Cas being kicked of the bunker because I think it could have been an interesting storyline. But Cas was going out in the world with no idea how to be human, get work, etc. It just rings as very not true to Dean.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this or others?
Is the burning of bones or objects to dispatch a ghost something out of folklore, or did the writers of this show come up with it?
I want something from the show. It’s a male puppy, but I’m down for any name as long as it’s cool enough.
Question after Dean dies in the last season what supernatural creatures are left on the human plane. Are there any super powerful creatures left or are they just normal ghost/monsters.
Also when Rowena became the ruler of hell did she close the hell gates or can demons still go to the human plane and cause chaos and make deals.
