Fucked up a lot. Here it is for the lols
Ok so the picture shows what I’m trying to do. Door and frame are warped, to close and lock door latch strike had to be migrated down a bit. I am obviously poor and need a quick but (hopefully?) somewhat solid fix. I need to be able to sink that top screw in the void. How can I fill this in and reset where this strike sits? Don’t need to be scolded, I came to SHITTY diy for a reason.

Understand one thing the Water-based polyurethane stains are superior to oil-based ones because that the drying time is quick and it is difficult to coat
Makes sense, right? Being difficult to coat is attractive for sure. But two lines down we see the real issue:
But the problem with the water-based polyurethane is that the water-base does not give much fragrance and it will dry quickly. On the other hand, Oil-based polyurethane is provided with better fragrance.
How do we get around this? Can I just pour a gallon of paint thinner out all over the house?
