so a group of my friends wanna go to grail on Tuesday but a few of them aren’t 2I yet idk if we should try cuz Tuesdays are pretty crowded… any advice?
Hi r/rutgers,
I am a current junior at Rutgers University studying Psych as a major and Business Administration as a minor. I transferred here last semester and tried to switch into the Business school here. Unlike my previous school, Rutgers has a bunch of pre-requisite classes used to weed people out, I took a couple in the fall, ended up doing terrible, and just decided to keep Psych as a major and Business as my minor instead of switching into it.
Part of the reason I tried doing this, is because I am unsure exactly what I would like to do with my future. Possibly go into marketing or supply chain. I hear countless people say "Psych is useless unless you are going pre-med with it" because a lot of the career offerings are things most people are not interested in such as doing ABA Therapy, being guidance counselor or a teacher, or starting your own practice.
To be very clear I REALLY do not want to do any of these, and also do not have the money to afford med school.
I am very unsure to do with my future career-wise, I have been to career fairs, searched and applied for many internships via handshake, indeed, linkedin under business related fields and have heard nothing back. Sometimes wish I never even went to college as I feel I am just throwing away tens of thousands of dollars for an education that will get me no place with a Psych undergrad degree that everyone has nowadays.
Any advice or potential career options I should look into?
I’m a high school senior and I recently applied to the New Brunswick campus and my application got deferred. I applied early action and my application got bumped to regular decision. I’m a little worried because I had to update my SRAR and I got a C in AP stats last semester. I also only had around a 3.3 cumulative high school GPA. I’m applying to Economics and am an out of state applicant. Do you think I could still get in?
Nobody from my HS (in NJ, closest to NB) has been admitted to NB… yet. The suspense is killing me but I’m worried that they’ll try to send me to either of those schools… I was admitted into those two in just a few days. Submitted application November 28th.
As the title says, I’m looking for people into in hanging outside, working out, getting daily sunlight, working out, eating the right foods. People who believe in the MAHA movement
Maybe I worded the title weirdly, but if I fail a course in the fall, then take it again next fall instead of the following spring, does it still get replaced for my GPA? Or are you supposed to retake it immediately?
How is the class? The syllabus said that there is an A- so I’m not sure how that works.
i'm a senior and I recently organized a group to apply for livi apartments next sem. All of them have to live on campus anyway and had 0 plans so that's why I got us together to group apply and they recently got on board. BUT there's new additions (certain people) that are a part of it now and i've lived with them before. Now that it’s basically locked in, I’m having a crisis cause I don’t actually want to live with those ppl like ever again. I like them as people, but not as roommates...like objectively insufferable. I used to go home like every other week bc of it. On top of that, they are all cuffed now, so I’m dreading how much I KNOW their bfs will be around. I feel like I dug my own grave here. Should I try to get a diff group, or is that messed up and just deal with it for the year?
I have a 3.681 GPA and 15 credits and taking 16 now. For fall 2025

I was thinking of taking gen physics 1-2 and their respective labs and genetics 380 as well during the summer. If this goes right, I skip an insane amount of time. To avoid being overwhelmed I plan to take an asynchronous course for physics and genetics is automatically asynchronous.
I’m a bio major
Anybody with any thoughts about this? Is this a horrific idea that I will probably regret?
when i sign the housing agreement at rutgers is is cabtractually binding for both fall and spring? I want to leave my spring semester but I don’t know if I can

Does anyone have a pdf of the textbook “Introduction to Philosophy: Classical and Contemporary Readings (9th edition)” with John Perry? I'd really appreciate it!
Is there anyone here minoring in creative writing? Right now I’m taking intro to creative writing asynch and it’s pretty easy so far. However, i want to know about the workload in the other classes for the minor because I’m still trying to figure out if I want to have creative writing as a second minor.
Hello Rutgers University,
My long-distance girlfriend lives in Crosby Hall and I was hoping to get her flower's on Valentine's day as well as send her a package with gifts and whatnot. Do you guys have any suggestions on local flower delivery services and how does the package system work so that she would receive a separate package on or a little before Valentine's?
Rising sophomore here at Rutgers. Since I don’t really have seniority points, where do I have the best chance to get a single dorm?
Hi!
Just for some context: I am a current senior in High school and college applications have been a complete shit show for me so far. I only applied to 4 colleges, because I assumed that Rutgers would be a viable safety school, not knowing how much more competitive admissions have become since Rutgers entered the common app. I'm a dumbass, I know. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA, 4.1 Weighted, and a 1430 SAT score. I applied to Rutgers early action and got deferred. Whether that is because of my scores being too low or the admissions office genuinely just not having enough time to get to my application, I have no idea. In any case I want to start making a plan B.
What I am wondering is: How viable would it be for me to go to a community college in New Jersey (IE: Brookdale) for one semester, and then transfer into the Rutgers New Brunswick school of engineering in the spring? Does Rutgers SOE even typically accept spring transfers? Does Rutgers SOE even typically accept freshman transfers in general?
I am aware that Rutgers SOE requires 2 semesters of Calculus to transfer, however I am currently taking AP Calculus AB, meaning that if I got a 5 on that AP test, I would in fact have the required 2 semesters of calculus that are required for transferring to Rutgers SOE (assuming I am not held back by a CC requiring me to take a semester of prerequisite classes for freshman level physics or chemistry. )
Hey guys I'm a senior majoring in Econ with all my classes on Coll Ave so looking something nearby. I am clean & organized, a bit studious and I'd say overall a good roommate. If anyone needs another person or knows of someone looking, let me know! Thanks
DM me to hear my stats please
Need some help. So for CS electives, I am 100% taking dmds, systems, regression methods, software methodology, principles of info and data management, and intro to AI. I need help on my 7th elective. My choices are either Intro to Data Science(439) or ML Principles(461). Aside from difficulty which one is actually worth taking?
What r my chances of getting In fall 2025 as a transfer. I have a 3.51 and an army ROTC scholarship I want to use at Rutgers. LMKK
I'm a junior right now at Rutgers looking for 2-3 roommates with leasing starting in June. Idc what gender you are but if you care I'm a guy. I have a nice 2 bedroom apartment available at 44 Courtlandt. DM for more details.
guys i have a damaged ID and it’s so worn, i know it’s a free replacement if u have your old one but my pic was so cute!! if i go to one stop will they make me take a new pic or can i reuse my old one?
A few weeks ago I had a pop up on my iPad that forced me to change my password to an alphanumeric password, and not knowing what was going on (and also it being the middle of class and I needed to use my iPad) I did so. I want to change it back and I noticed a Rutgers management profile on my iPad that I don’t remember being there. Not a configuration profile like the WiFi but a mobile device management one. Apparently it’s this management profile that’s forcing me to make an alphanumeric password. I was wondering if I could just remove the profile without screwing up anything on my iPad. This is a personal device not a Rutgers given iPad (that was like. 4 years ago I wasn’t even here then lol). Thanks
I’ve been told there are a lot of bands that play like basement shows at Rutgers. I was wondering where I can find these flyers ? Or just location where. I wanna go to a show lmao
So basically I transferred here my sophmore here as a Bio major and completed Physics and Bio together during that sophmore year and in the summer finished made sure to finish Calc and bio lab. And now Looking back at it I am an idiot because I decided to leave off Chemistry for my Junior year and chem is the key as a pre req to many classes.
So i take Chem 161 my junior year with other classes and I got a 64 on the first exam which was worrying so after talking with the advisor she told me to drop to 133 if i am now comfortable and so I did and finished that class now I am taking chem 161 in the spring.
Here is the problem Now my plan originally was Fall Chem 161 Spring Chem 162: Summer orgo 1 and 2
But now since I dropped chem 161 in the Fall
I can only do this: Chem 161 spring Chem 162 summer session 1 and Orgo 1 summer session 2
NOW THE PROBLEM: I just found out Orgo 1 summer session 2 isn't offered after viewing the schedule and it was offered previous years... Is the schedule i see on summer classes finalized? I know registration is in 8 days But i may be cooked as I can't take biochem until i finish orgo 2 so if i don't finish orgo 1 summer session 2 i would have to wait till spring of 2026 to finish orgo 2 rather than fall 2025.
Im basically guaranteed to graduate late thanks to the biochem pre req and what has happened
HELP!!!
After a couple weeks which one has been better? The new route is pretty weird bc it goes to Livi straight from Arc. Also who needs the stops at the basketball arena?
Hey! So I’m new to this school and someone on this sub mentioned that there were catacombs somewhere on campus. I need to go there so if there’s anything anybody can tell me about their location, it’d be massively appreciated. I rlly need to find these catacombs.
I'm interested in Douglass Residential College and I was wondering if there are many nursing students and what type of experience this program provides... also is it worth it?
