Looking for people to trial our business

Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.

We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).

Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early.

Security guards on George Street

Has anyone else noticed the two guys who linger outside of the 711 on George Street close to where Rite-aid used to be? What are they securing? They wear tan pants and have dark blue shirts. Anyone know?

My gf (20) and I Just moved to new brunswick. Where to meet people?

So my gf and I just moved to New Brunswick. We’re very close to Rutgers campus. We don’t go to college, we do digital marketing content creation.

I have friends here, but she doesn’t. The issue is she doesn’t know where the best place for her to meet people is.

She isn’t into partying or clubbing or bars, but is very outgoing and friendly. She’s down for any activity, but we don’t have a massive budget either.

If any of you know great places to meet people that aren’t weirdos either😭that’d be super appreciated.

Edibles in NJ

I am in New Jersey for college and I recently stopped smoking weed a few months ago and switched to edibles due to medical reasons. I cannot help but notice there is a bunch of delta 8 in most edible products. Delta 8 makes me feel weird and shaky but when I find edibles with actual D9 (real thc) they are a very low dosage and don’t do anything for me. I even tried tinctures but I believe the CBD in them interferes with me getting high. I’m not sure where to find good and strong edibles and tinctures that contain just normal THC without all that man made stuff.

Domestic Violence Awareness

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is coming up in October. Town Clock CDC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides permanent, affordable, safe housing and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

They hold an annual fundraising & advocacy event, called Being Brave. It is inspirational and is designed to honor and support women who bravely pursue safety, wholeness, and affordable housing.

This year’s event is on October 17, 2024 at Pines Manor Edison. The cocktail hour & silent auction is at 6 pm, following dinner and awards ceremony at 7 pm. All proceeds help to support the programming offered to our eleven resident survivor families living at Dina's Dwellings and the Barbara Littman House.

US sports photography opportunities

Hi everyone,

I'm French, and I’m on vacation this month, staying with my girlfriend in New Brunswick. I was wondering if it’s possible to attend and take photos of sports practices or competitions nearby? Is there a calendar of events for the different Rutgers or New Brunswick teams?

I’m a big fan of motorsports, especially motocross. Do people practice this sport around here? I’d love to ride in the U.S. or simply take some photos. Any recommendations on where to go or who to contact?

My English isn’t perfect, and I’d like to use this opportunity to improve it.

Thanks in advance!

Jobs around New Brunswick

Does anyone know if any places are hiring? I moved to New Brunswick a few months ago and have been working at a Jersey Mikes.

I’ve been wanting to work somewhere else that isn’t exactly food related or that the pay is around $20. I’m willing to learn as much as I can. 22 M not a student so I could work more hours, located a few blocks from College Ave. If anyone has any information at all I’d greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to DM or reply through here.

Seek a Room to Rent Near Rutgers Campus (ASAP)

I'm a junior male of Rutgers University. I would like to find a room to rent near any bus stop of the school bus. My budget is $1000 per month or below, but it is also acceptable to pay for more than $1000.

I need to move in immediately. Please tell me if you know any vacant room to rent. Stay away from me if you'd like to scam me.

When did Old Man Raffterty's get bad?

I used to get stoked to look through their desserts as a kid.

I've gone a few times recently, the first couple times it was like no one worked there as I walked through the space looking for someone to take my order or at least sell me a beer.

Then when I finally went with my family and folks were working, the food was bad, straight up Kraft cheese quality food.

Am I remembering it being better than it was or did COVID wreck the place?

Are we actually known for anything?

Honestly it's a pet peeve of mine when people think this entire city is just Rutgers. I don't have any issue with college kids, have fun, it's the people who haven't even stepped foot into the city once talking about how great Brunswick is (it's not) or that the entire is only Easton and College Ave. and everything else is irrelevant there (also not true). Idk I just had to get off my chest about people who haven't looked up the city once and already making assumptions about it. Can any of you relate to this regarding your hometown?
