RULES
1: Posts Must Be From Raimi’s Works
Memes must include a reference to Raimi, or else it is not a Raimi meme. “Marvel” or “Spider-Man” alone does not make a post a Raimi meme. A Raimi movie is anything he has directed or produced such as the Spider-Man Trilogy, the Evil Dead Trilogy, Darkman, etc. TV shows that involved Raimi such as Xena and Ash vs Evil Dead are also allowed. We will remove unrelated posts, as they do not belong here.
2: Respect Raimi
Speaking against Raimi or Tobey is allowed, however posts that are intentionally trolling will be removed and spamming will result in a ban.
3: No Blatant Reposts
The top posts of all time may be brilliant, but reposting them is lazy. You can comment ?repost to notify the mods of a repost. Just provide a source that shows it’s been posted before and we’ll remove it.
4: No Low Effort Posts Or Asking For Upvotes
Any post that asks for upvotes will be removed as this is extremely lazy and breaks Reddit rules. Extremely low effort posts such as non-Raimi reaction images with the title as the caption will also be removed. Posts with basically no punchline that are just descriptions of movie scenes also fall under this rule. We are trying to keep the sub quality high, and these types of posts aren’t funny and hurt the sub quality.
5: No Edgy Memes
Most edgy memes are not allowed. There are obvious lines you shouldn’t cross. For example: Pasting a recent mass-murderer's face onto the Green Goblin and calling that a meme (Yes, this has happened before).
6: No Brigading
Any meme or comment encouraging users to purposely flood another sub or website to cause turmoil will be removed and could result in a ban.
7: No Witch-Hunting
Do not engage in witch-hunting. This means no tracking people down in the real world to harass them online. This has literally never happened on our sub and yet people continue to report posts using this rule.
8: Tag NSFW Posts
Posts that are inappropriate for viewing in public must be tagged NSFW, or risk removal. As this is not an 18+ subreddit, going overboard and posting porn or gore will result in a ban.
9: Tag Spoilers
Posts about any recent movie must be spoiler tagged until it is 1 week after the movie has come out. For major movies, we may make temporary rules for longer spoiler-free periods.
10: Have Fun and Enjoy Pizza Time
We're all here to have fun and see funny memes about our favourite Spider-Man. Don't start infighting or otherwise inhibit others' ability to have fun.

Question about the Spier-Man 2 & 3 IMAX Versions
Not too long ago, I remember there were YouTube playlists of several scenes from the IMAX Versions of Spider-Man 2 & 3 by this one channel, but I'm having trouble finding them. They were really helpful for making full-screen raimi memes/posts.
Does anybody remember what the channel name was? And do you think they were they deleted by YouTube's copyright system?

I love how this was played off as some sort of happy ending to the movie. But when you really think about it what Mary Jane did was just plain vile. Leaving Jameson at the alter with no explanation like wtf she’s ruthless💀💀😭
What makes the situation so much worse is that it’s obvious that Jamenson’s son is a public figure. So literally everyone would know how he was treated like a joke and left at the altar. She just left him with zero explanation at all it’s so wrong. I can go on and on about Mary Jane but that would be an entire essay lol💀😭honestly she was the real villain in these movies

Serious question, does anyone remember or know why they altered the Spider-Man 3 opening credits compared to the theatrical release?
So in the released version on DVD, the opening has a shot of the SM1 rain kiss, but in the theatrical version the shot is instead a picture of MJ wearing her parade dress, anybody know why this was the case? here is proof of what i'm talking about, really odd since i remember the rain kiss wasn't there in the pirated copy i had.

A massive thank you to Sony for this once in a lifetime experience. I was 1 and 3 when the first 2 came out. I saw 3 and beyond since I was 6 and it was very emotional experiencing both films the way they were meant to be seen 🕷️
