First off she is juggling 2 children and an infant, as well as effectively babysitting her nostaliga-ridden husband constantly. On top of that, in both movies she has shown great experience with espionage and stealth by infiltrating 2 enemy bases undetected. Her knowledge of aircraft and its technology as well as her connections in those fields overall has given her useful skills to easily make her way around the world with ease.
But most of all I admire and look up to her critical thinking skills. In the first movie we saw her immediately take action to try and prevent 2 missles from harming her and two of her kids, utilizing her knowledge of military flight training to communicate her way out of a bad situation. Mind you, she failed, however she switched on the seat belt sign to signal to her kids that it was about to get bumpy, before shielding them from the blast using her own body (wearing an indestructible suit btw).
In the second movie during an interview where the host was being controlled by the Screenslaver, we see her running through the halls yelling for "the nearest window" because she knew she had seconds to make it to the rooftop and smashing a window was the fasest option. Once in the ambassadors helicopter, she asks the passengers first if they could swim before pushing them into a river to safety. This was also one of the very few Pixar scenes and superhero scenes overall where the hero uses a gun, as she used one to blow the lock off the cockpit door.
She also used the little strength she had left to aim a flare gun at the window of yet another aircraft to introduce oxygen to the plane and throw the villain off balance.
She thinks so quickly and uses that ability to assess and execute her plan. She didn't just throw those people off the plane, she made sure that she wasn't creating additional problems and potentially drown a passenger. She's kind and empathetic, but also assertive and sometimes aggressive if it means saving people's lives. It's that high level of critical thinking that I see many other heros lacking which gives us viewers opportunities to say "why didn't he just _____" or "I would've done this instead". She's already pictured the scenario and acts in an extremely efficient manner to work it to the maximum in her favor.
While other heros spend time on "superhero landings" and looking cool, she's spending that time thinking WHILE on the move, and would SMOKE many other heros, finishing the job before they had even finished showing off
I'm so happy they really gave her the spotlight in the Incredibles 2
