I habe lived in chennai For like 17 years, now I'm moving to pune. I just want to know how is the weather at Pune? Is too hot like Chennai or even hotter? Is it cold? The humidity, precipitation. Basically I just want a comparison between both.

So my dad got transferred to Pune from Aurangabad and he really wanted to work in Pune, I was very small to understand the hype. And all the relatives used to be amazed that we live in Pune…although it was only a few years later that I found I out that I live in Chinchwad which isn’t exactly the Pune everyone is so amazed by. And I’ve been in that belt from Chinchwad to Nigdi to Akurdi, Wakad and Hinjewadi….And rarely baner. And sure we used to go to Shaniwarwada and aga khan palace and touristy place once in a blue moon. And going to Phoenix used to mean the ultimate party even as an 16 yo for that matter. But later I saw through Insta and social media what was I really missing…the nightlife about Pune, the Youth, the crowd, the vibe. I never went to FC Road to check out girls, I never went to Kothrud, only went to KP to get my passport when I was 19. But last few months I got to travel quite a bit…mainly coz of the Metro (if only it came 5 years earlier), I go alone like 3-4 times in a week now…just to get to know the Pune that everyone was amazed by…and it is quite breathtaking…High spirits ka crowd sach Mai sahi hai…Vaishali/ camp burger sach Mai over-rated hai…Kothrud zyada toh nahi Ghoom paya par Haan young crowd udhar ka aur FC ka sahi laga. But now it’s like I feel like The rat in ratatouille who was in the sewer and then he climbs up and sees that all this time he was underneath Paris. Like bhai…I was a college student in Chinchwad, and I didn’t explore Pune…which is supposed to be explored when you’re in college. I wasted my entire college life in this shithole called PCMC…When I could’ve really seen what Pune truly had to offer. And now that I’ve seen a bit and feel like exploring more…like dating a Satvik Kothrud Baddie lol, I’m leaving this place for New York. I feel like my parents really fucked me over with choosing PCMC when they could’ve lived in Shivajinagar. I want to know Pune…the place I lived 20kms away from…but Never truly got the chance to know. I feel like a small town boy when I go to FC Road and see the crowd. Like How tf do I feel inferior…when i literally live here…most people here are college students and come from all over the country.

TLDR: A Chinchwad boy after 15 years finally got the chance to explore a bit of Pune when he’s about to leave for US in 2 months and loses his shit.

P.S please tell me what places can I visit that the youth generally goes to…like what are cooler places in KP, Kalyani Nagar or even Kothrud and Shivajinagar etc.

Here's my review of itminaan biryani Ordered it out of curiosity and hope to find good matka chicken biryani. But they just repack zaza biryani in a matka and sell it in large quantity which is just a mixture of rice and chicken pieces. Lack of spices in food is making it difficult to eat. Hope the people trying to order quality biryani in the future stay away from it It has huge quantity though.

Hello guys, I am looking forward to go to a scenic, place around pune. The only problem is, we don't have a vehicle. I see people going to lonavla or mahabaleshwar and it's convenient for them as they have a vehicle. Suggest some places where I can travel via bus. And book my stay in a budget. Suggest some good spots that I should cover along with it.

I am not very happy with my job and at the same time not sure what would I like to pursue ahead. I keep Journaling my thoughts nd that leads to further more confusion I feel. I am a CA so have done finance roles. What I feel is I am not able to create a meaningful difference and that really stings me when I work. Package wise and work life it's quite a good one, bt i feel if I keep continuing with this I will be in my comfort zone and not challenge myself enough.

I'm no Mallu. I'm a Punekar but I recently watched Avesham and boy am I impressed with Mollywood! This was my first Malayali film and understood it thanks to the subtitles but you can always figure out great performances because of the 'Abhinaya'. FaFa is awesome! Lastly - the music is GOLD! I've got the album on loop! The Marathi film industry has a long, long way to go looking at this piece of work.

Which is good place to live as a freelancer.

I have bought watermelon from 2-3 local roadside sellers from phase 1 and once from the reliance mart.

I have tested them with cotton ball. All became red. Looks like all of them adultrated or this testing method is flawed ?

As per FSSAI, you can check the adulteration in watermelon through a simple cotton ball. Cut the watermelon into half. After this, take any one of the two parts. Then rub the cotton ball on the red pulp of the watermelon a few times. If it is adulterated, the cotton ball will become red. It can be estimated that the chemical called erythrosine has been added to this watermelon. If it attains no colour, then the watermelon is safe for consumption.

So I’m traveling to India later this year and I have 5 50K nights certificate and tons of points.

I have heard that ritz in Pune is definitely a more modern and has good reputation. Where as Westin is decent but it’s aging.

So I have options to use my free night cards for Ritz guest room (1 king guest room with city/ gold view). 91K for 3 days as they don’t have any other rooms offered with points.

Westin gives option of nice suite with balcony for around 185K again it’s worth it because I can still use 3 free nights certificate(150K) + some points.

I really don’t mind spending more points for westin. But now the question is that if ritz base( guest room) is better than suite of Westin?

Specially people who have visited both may be able to help me out here to decide which is better.

I don’t care about spas, gyms and all. As mostly I will be staying in room with my family or going out to explore the city.
