A family member wants to take admission into college this year after completing 12th grade in 2023 and taking gap of a year because of financial reasons. Which colleges are good education wise but not too expensive for fees per year? He belongs to open caste and as you know its not cheap to get admissions for open caste people, compared to other castes. Why getting diagnosis and medication so expensive in pune as compared to quality we get. Few days back I went to a dermat in Baner for simple excessive dry skin patches of my 12 year old and she prescribed meds worth 5K and charged whopping INR 700 and did not even touched the patient. (Of the meds prescribed I only purchased a cream, after using for 3 days dry skin patches disappeared.) Similarly just today went to consult a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist prescribed treatment of 5K and blood tests worth 3K, my only intention was to get 5 sessions of IFT (as it had worked well the last time) treatment, but the physio insisted and kept pushing his 5K package. Disappointed I backed off. Flashback: In the year 2020 during covid I had a endoscopic gastro surgery in a very reputed hospital in pune, they kept me admitted for 5 days and my final bill was 2 lakh 48 thousand of which Insurance only covered 65 K. Also they had put a stent in for which they were planning to charge 25K for removal. This surgery failed and then frustrated and back in severe pain in 2021 I went to hyderabad on suggestion of an uncle of mine. Got admitted in AIG hospital, occupied dulex private room for same surgery, I was discharged the next day, almost no pain final bill was INR 73 K of which 65k completely cashless covered by insurance.

I run a business and have been working with ICICI Bank. And found them to be notorious in many ways. They deduct money from accounts, don't give GST invoice, their staff is rude, they don't support on compliances. Infact I have started feeling that I should file a cheating case against few of their employees now. All of them are only there to meet their KPI targets. They give zero fucks about their clients, even when we are corporate and have higher sum in their account than a retail account.

How is everyone else's experience with ICICI Bank? Retail or corporate please share. Also if someone knows a higher up at ICICI bank please let me know, I am keen on escalating our issues with them to get them solves asap.

I live in Godrej Infinity in Keshav Nagar Mundhwa and to be honest the society is excellent in terms of amenities and space but this Mundhwa chowk has made me leave car driving all together due to traffic. And other issues like water mafia and over construction making me think of leaving this area and go to a place where water is supplied by PMC and where there is less traffic. So question is to everyone here that, is Pune going to get any better in terms of all the above mentioned points or is the city doomed?

My younger brother was driving somewhere near Baner/Balewadi when a man overtook his car and when they reached a section of the road where it was relatively empty, the guy suddenly braked in front of my brother. My brother managed to react in time but still ended up slightly bumping into him.

The guy in the front was suspiciously calm, a middle aged man, well mannered, and dressed well and didn't fight or quarrel, all he did was asked for money from my brother citing damages to his rear bumper which was slightly cracked and a massive scratch on one end of it. The money he asked for was a significant amount stating that it was a VW and that my brother should know how expensive 'german cars' are and he'd have to replace the entire bumper. However, my brother had noticed that the car already had a scratch on it, to which the guy denied it and my brother called me on the phone. I asked him to check the dashcam and there it was, clear as day, the scratch already there before the accident.

He then backtracked and still asked for a lot of money for the crack on the bumper because it was debatable whose fault it was due to them both being at low speeds and him slowing down to let my brother get close enough before suddenly braking, so I talked to a friend of mine who offered to repair it for a cheap amount (to which he denied saying that it will never look the same again etc) so I looked up the price of the bumper which was surprisingly very cheap and offered to pay 50% of it which was less than what my guy had quoted to repair it. After a lot of back and forth, he suddenly left without taking any money since I wasn't ready to budge.

Do yourselves a favor and get a dashcam, it will save you someday.
