i desperately need some advice. so i bought a chase bliss habit about a year and a half ago brand new from their site. i dont even remember what happened to the power cord it came with cuz for as long as i can remember ive been using one of the universal hosa’s that u can choose the polarity and voltage on, and i only ever used the proper 9v center negative when using it with the habit. so anyway at some point, i started having the issue where the power cord needed to be at increasingly specific angles for it to power on (despite me not even having used it all that much up to that point), until eventually i had to like wrap it around a bunch of times and find the perfect spot and not touch it at all so itd remain on. and eventually it stopped powering on, but seeing as i have a bunch of other gear, i put off fixing it and shelved it. but i miss it so bad now and so i bought a truetone 9v cord and that didnt work, so i decided to carefully open it up and see. sure enough the dc jack had some solder coming off the board, id say about half of the solder on the right side of the jack was off the board, and so i got my iron out and carefully resoldered it back to the board, but its still not powering on! i figure it must be a faulty dc jack so my next step is to buy a new one but i wanted to get your opinions!! please help a newbie out
I'm looking for a pedal that can basically do what the Eventide Instant Phaser does but can't find anything similar :( I'm especially looking for the functionality to control the frequency sweep with input envelope. There's Phasers that react to the input envelope but most of them control the LFO speed instead of the frequency sweep...
Oh and yes I do realise the H90 had the algorithm but yeah... This ain't a perfect world sadly
For those that don't know about the instant phaser it was (one of) the first hardware rack effects ever made and is still one of the most advanced AND intuitive phaser effects out there!
Hello everyone, just like the title says. The pedal just died on me, stopped working after light use. I used it at home and nothing else to play mainly some Explosions In The Sky songs, dind't even stomp it hard or anything.
Can you see something wrong in the pictures? Because I don't. I have no experience soldering, I have seen some videos, and nothing seems burnt to me, there's no loose cable either. I'll appreciate any input and if anyone needs more pictures I'll gladly upload more. Thanks!
edit: it's D-Seed not D-Seed II, sorry
I’ve tried asking him what he would hypothetically get so that it doesn’t seem like I’m trying to buy him anything, but all I got from him was that he wants a Rotovibe (too expensive) and a “I’m not sure, hard to pick”. Currently on his board he has a Polytune, Little Big Muff, Strymon Deco, Tube Screamer, and a Union Evermore. He listens to tons of different music but he mostly plays rock/metal.
Any ideas of what I could get him? I want to keep the price range around and under $200.
Edit: Forgot to mention but we live in Canada, so used pedals from Sweetwater or anything that’s $200 USD doesn’t quite work for me. So anything that’s $200 for me would be around $140 USD
Just got a tc electronic tailspin vibrato from a friend and it doesn’t seem to work correctly? When I turn it on I get sound but I don’t get any vibrato, it just gives me a tiny bit of fuzz. How do I fix this?
I bought a Keeley 2-knob about 20 years ago and I just don't get it. What is great about compression?
I'm ready to kick this off my board finally because I have absolutely no more room. I want to add another dirt pedal, naturally. I play rock leads, mostly. Noodling and solos. I mostly use fuzz, a BD-2, a rat, and a Klone.
What am I missing? Why do folks love compressors? I'm sure I'm the problem. Please tell me what the deal is, please.
