Looking for a stereo tremolo that combines the best parts of the Supa Trem and Supa Trem 2. I want the half speed switch from the 1 and also the stereo phase switch from 0-180° from the 2. Switch from 0 to 180 rather than a knob, probably dont need to have anything between in phase and out of phase. Don’t need tap tempo. Does anyone know of any trems like this. No budget cap.
(Also could be down to mod the 2 to replace tap tempo with the half speed switch if anyone has schematics from both pedals)
I’m looking into EQ pedals for my board and I can’t decide between the MXR 6-band or the GE-7. I’m just looking for what people who have owned these pedals think about them so I can decide to go one way or the other.
Update: Thank you all for your inputs. Y’all taught me a lot. I ended up landing on neither pedal. But instead the MXR 10-Band. I found it to be the best of both worlds. Thanks again y’all!:) rock on!
Some tips and tricks to design your own board!
i would like to control my behringer model d with my feet. initially i was looking for a foot controller in the style of a roland pk, but those are generally pretty expensive and i’m gonna be taking this thing to some pretty rough clubs. are there cheaper alternatives in the ~$200 range?
another idea, would it make sense to look into something like a behringer fcb1010 and program the different buttons to make the notes i want? i don’t know if that’s even a possibility, but if it is then it would be cool to program some different progressions in and use it almost like a programable soundboard.
Hey! I'm searching for a saturation/drive stereo pedal with a LPF or multimode filter. Something like the Elektron analog heat/drive. I remember having seen some recent pedal that was quite nice in this regard but I've lost track of it. Any suggestions? I want to use it mostly for beefing up drumpads and live percussions.
Hey! I love the sound of the MXR blue box, but I also want a "normal" fuzz tone. Is there a pedal out there, that can do both a blue box and a "normal" fuzz tone without having to have two pedals? Thx for answering:)
Looking for recommendations for an ambient reverb pedal. I just need something to jump between a couple of presets - short, and ambient/long tails. I'd prefer something with a small footprint and doesn’t require a lot of midi wizardry to change presets or settings. I tried the JET Revelation and really liked the sounds, but my big feet are too clumsy to work the touch sensitive preset buttons. Any thoughts?
Looking for suggestions on a compressor. I've never been a fan but lately I've started to gain a better understanding of them within a rig.
I want it first in my chain in order to better control what's hitting the front end but I don't want to color the tone. It will always be on and it needs to have a buffer.
What say yous
I took a break from playing and recording music (other than the occasional noodle on the guitar) from 2017-2024 - got into my career and other hobbies and when I would pick up and play I was no longer constantly searching for gear like in my younger days. Recently I've been getting into analog synths and as such doing a lot of pedal research to try to get those #sweettextures. I was immediately surprised at the availability and accessability of sounds. 10 years ago, if you wanted to build a board on a budget your options were very basic Joyo pedals or semi-crappy plastic body Danelectro pedals (no hate to anyone using those because I definitely did) and now just researching reverb there are probably 200 varied, interesting Reverb pedals available on Amazon Prime under $100. I haven't dived too deep but it's funny that now that I have a little money to throw around on stuff like this it's cheaper than ever to build out a rig that is uniquely your own.
I'm sure some folks will have dissenting opinions, prob don't think a ton of those pedals are good for whatever reason but I'm just amazed that they are even available. That is all :)
how do i know whether my power supply is legit isolated or fake isolated?
